gtx 295 is next month should be priced around 500 on newegg. if you're buying ram, make sure you get 2 more gigs because chances are its dual channel ram which means there's really only significant added advantage to using multiples of 2. maybe you should consider the 285 which is coming the 15th, supposed to beat out the 280 with less power consumption but better framerates (and 55nm architecture instead of clunky 65)

Thats confusing. Although I run my game on high not ultra high, go into the GPU 3d settings and tweak the Crysis SLI settings for the individual game. Also, check background programs, in game settings, etc.... I'm honestly not sure though.

On one of my gaming machines I have a pair of EVGA 8800GT SSC cards in SLI & overclocked to 742 Core clock, 1831 Shader clock, 1000 (2000 effective) Memory clock. To keep the card cool I am using Duorbs & Iandh custom aluminum heatsinks which keeps my temps around 42c idle & 54c load. I use an overclocked E8400 clocked to 3.8Ghz on a Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 also with great temps even though the computer is in an unairconditioned room that hits 85-90F.
