Interesting. I live along the coast of southern Maine, approx. 25 miles away from a working Shaker village. It is the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village in New Gloucester, Maine: the last working Shaker community in the world. It's not operated by a trust, but operated by the Shakers themselves, who still live and worship there.
I should probably go to the Shaker Village. I'm a resident of Hancock, so I could get in for free, and it is about a 5 minute drive to get there...
