"Please Mister Please" is considered a classic, even though it peaked at # 2. This is a cute tune, but I can understand why the record company went for "Please Mister Please".
This song was scheduled for a record release but the honchos at MCA recording studios changed their minds and released Please Mr.Please that went on to reach #2 on the record charts.you dont hear today too much about reorc charts cause we dont listen to the radio and the radio has changed and we use the media of the ineternet to listen to our songs ,today we know who has a hit by the hits on the internet ,sad, but record charts are dead and gone
The record company was schedule this song for a record release but they changed their minds at the last minute and instead released Please Mr.Please that went gold too, shame cause this song would have gone number one for her also right after Have You Never Been Mellow had hit number one.
I always think of this song and of Livvy when they show every year on ABC the Dick Clark's Rockin Eve show when it first aired over three decades ago in the 70's early in December 31 becoming the new year and this show only showcased those that were huge and popular in record sales and best and she definitley was with hit after hit back then.she ringed in the new year with this dazling red dress.
One good thing about 70's television was catching all the musical acts on the variety shows. What a wonderful memory watching this when it first aired.
We adored her maybelline cover girl looks that went along with the most prettiest face ever on a singer and the fact that Livvy came form england with an acent singing country songs when she started well we were all startled at this and when ahe won Best Country Female ,well we all were even curious more who this huge rising star was and we fell in love.Nobdy has ver done it again since today.
my favorite video clip of nher i thought i would never see this again it appeared on the Dick clark's New Year Eve's party at midnight on ABC back then like maybe i feel hundreds of years ago , we were seeing a huge star being made in America , she was in great demand . This song would have been another number hit but never made it on the charts cause it was cancelled by the record company shame
Olivia yes worked hard in the 60's and worked her hiney alot as that man commented about however he does not understand that my comment about how a star is being born here is in reference to her coming to America and winning huge awards with her first crossover album and she went on to win Rising Star of the Year an award presented in Vegas no longer existing today but proves she was a rising star with her huge first album crossovers and America demanding to see more of her.
Tracks 1. Have You Never Been Mellow 2. Loving Arms 3. Lifestream 4. Goodbye Again 5. Water Under the Bridge 6. I Never Did Sing You a Love Song 7. It's So Easy
Olivia has always been underrated as a country singer the way her 1970s counterpart Linda Ronstadt was. Both were alternative female artists in the country music scene and never really fit in. But they were very successful and had the last laugh at Nashville.
such a rare video clip and i believe it was from the Dick clark's Rock n Eve the new year in January.she never released this as a single and i guess the record producer changed his mind but it would have been a huge hit for her.A star was being born when this came out, wow!

I've never seen yet a pretty face who sings so great live these days. Some has good voice but no pretty face, some are pretty but no good voice.

This girl worked her ass off for twentiy years in showbiz from the mid 1960s through the late 1980s. And she was only about 40 in the late 1980s.
