Nice. Dont let any gear drive snobs talk shit about v tec cam tensioners are top notch regulators are finned and durable. Anyone who knows bikes will tell you the rc46 slays all other vfr models on the track! Dont get me wrong i love gear drive i own hayden edition! And 25 2007!
I had this bike and I traded up for a newer 08 1250 Bandit. I didn't like how the vtec engine kicked in after 6k and since I have a bad back, it was a bit too forward for me. Still, was a bad ass bike and I miss it very much. Awesome all arounder. Nice metal flake in that paint. What year is this?
The cbr was probably an 7.5 on comfort. I would just lay an arm across the tank while cursing down the freeway. I am 5'11" 190.
Performance... I was going to kill myself on the cbr. That thing was a monster (fast), I always had trouble keeping it at any speed limit. The front wheel would just come up on its own. I cant believe those bikes are even legal, with all the laws the government puts on people to protect them from themselves. It was a fun bike.
What a sweet bike! I love the look of the dual pipes and the single-sided swingarm coupled with the 5-spoke rear wheel. These bikes are pretty heavy, though! Nearly 500 lbs, I think when loaded up with fluids. My old Honda Sabre V45 has a similar engine, and that thing was quite a chore to pick up and move around if it ever tipped over.
BTW, have you seen the videos of the DEVIL dual exhaust system? It makes this thing sound as burly as a Ducati!
How do you like the bike? I just sold my high mileage 03 zx9r today...and I am thinking about a vfr. Want something a bit more comfortable for longer distance, younger and more reliable...and the vfr seems like it might be it....I still need something that handles cause i live efor turns.
How comfortable is this bike? There are dealers around me that still have new 2007 they are trying to get rid of. Seems like a nice bike, but they do not sell well it seems.
Excellent bike, my VFR also has staintune exhausts(sounds awesome). Class bike all around the world. Greetings from Scotland, where excellent roads and scenery make the vfr v-tec all the more fun to ride
No, stick to a single cyclinder at the beginning they work your way up. This bike is much to powerful and heavy for a beginner. Some twins like the gs500 or 500ninja are better for beginners. Milder power and lighter.
Yeah, don't waste your time with a 250, but stay away from this kind of bike for now. Although this bike has great handling and performance and the ABS version makes it quite safe, the amount of power you'll be playing with is way too much.
If you like Hondas, the 599 is nice. It's small enough, but still has a big enough engine to have some real fun with.
Also, I'd recommend starting with a cruiser style rather than a sport or sport tourer. Just to get used to the speed.
vfr is my next bike! just waiting for finance. the minister of war and finance (wife)fell in love with it too.. lucky me. cant wait to get it out on the road!
im wanna so much that vfr but i coudlnt buy yet u r so lucky for have it. VFR 800 really so nice bike. dont drive so fast, be careful and thank you for ur video.

Since you had CBR954, I got couple quesions here;
A) If the comfortness of VFR800 is 10/10 how would you rate the comfortness of CBR954???
B) if the performance and handeling of CBR954 is 10/10 how would you rate the VFR800???
Im 26, 220lb, 6'2, not into racing, but big fan of quick acceleration, good looks and comfort.... wondering what kinda bike to get... TanQ
