nice playing. Great tone and technique. Seems as though very few know what "damping" is.
I have an original National Havana with the faux violin finish. I am the 2nd owner. It also has that "something" that drags you in makes you want to play it for hours. Too bad you had to go answer the phone (hear the ring in the background) cuz it was gertting real good to ya!
C# tunng? Just a half step down from "D" or is there some majical tuning you use? Curious.
Thanks for the compliment 1963FDH . Yes,the tuning is just Open D dropped a half step. One of those Havana's was my 1st National! Wish I still had it but ultimately sold it to get the Estralita., very cool guitar though. All the best to you,
Thank you for the kind words. The smallest repro cone I know of is the Beard 8.25". These cones are 8", but mods can be made to a cone or well if necessary.
Miss this guitar, had to sell to get a mic/pa rig for live playing.... :(
Very nice. I've seen these old kays on ebay, but I've never got a chance to hear one. I guess the big body takes over where the smaller cones does not. Good tone. Your arrangement reminds me of Mike Dowling's playing. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
Very nice!
