@Godservative hahaha... father satan... thats funny... your father is a cosmic zombie who is his own father... you bible thumpers are ignorant hypocrites... GLENN BECK LIVE$ hahahah
I really dont get it, this whole thing is stupid nobody can break life's balance.
Why can't you guys do the simplest way to protest WRITE A LETTER. Man, this HUGE thing happened just so some unknown guy could prove a point. Oh and Anonymous is a huge group and you never know one person from them might be the one who hacked, so their is a big chance that they did it because the person is part of their group meaning its their responsibility and they had a message to Sony about payback OBVIOUS MUCH
@Godservative You absolute tool, Anonymous had nothing to do with the PSN going offline. Anonymous specifically targeted Sony's website, not the gaming network. Of course Sony would seize the chance to paint Anonymous 'the bad guy', and you gullible fools swallow it all. And hypothetically speaking, if Anonymous' attack did indirectly affect the servers, your need to fuck around online is more important than protecting civil liberties? What's wrong with you?
anon sucks, keep wiki links on, but saying you should be able to "pirate" movies and music is just stupid. Thats like saying you should be able to walk into any store and walk out with what ever you want. Way to start with a cause and completely lose sight over it with your own greed. You fight the government and have become just as corrupt. You're all criminals and eventually you will be caught... Enjoy your time in prison :)
Anon sucks, pure and simple. Don't try to think you stand for anything or anyone. You just do it for fun and try to act all magical and mystical just because you saw V for Vendetta
Copyright companies are pirates and thieves themselves. Sony music entertainment is one of the biggest gangsters making youtube remove all ancient movies like Dr. Strangelove, Viva Zapata, many more, not because they could make money out of those old productions but worse, just to cause historical and cultural amnesia to the people to get them under control.
@envanje well if you are talking about companies that are first stealing the intellectual property from individuals and copyrighting it in their own name: that's different from the individual copyrighting their own work. the individual needs to make a living by their own gifts and their own work. Maybe a company bought the rights from the originator- maybe they just stole it or took advantage. That stuff should stop, people are living in poverty because of others stealing their work from them.
Completely agree to the principle of intellectual property benefits. But there's no control on the operations of copyright companies so probably they give the author an alm and divide the big profits among themselves.
Just like the patent protection of new medicines is 20 ys. (US making it effective only 7 to 12 ys.), copyright should also expire after let's say 20 ys., (big gain comes within this period anyway) and after that the production becomes public heritage.
@badgeless I'd have to disagree. Thieves have been known to be employed by governments, kings and queens. Spies and one would say... Spies are nothing knew history has many great spies Like Matthew Smith in the 1600's. Cloak and dagger term came from these people because they were thieves that thieved for their country. John Barlow which helped secure information for the King to help Divorce his wife. Thieves can do great things. However its your hands that do the work, not your eyes.
@badgeless Copyright is obsolete. Artists already make profits from doing live concerts, and their income from sales of music is minimal.
Saying that you are "taking royalties away" is a completely disingenuous statement. You are not depriving them of anything. Lost sales due to piracy are fictitious. Piracy creates potential sales; the artist gains fans, and as any economics student would know, a single sale is worthless in comparison to a dedicated customer.
@liquisphere your a smart cookie...and by the way, atleast i have thinking skills asshole; and no one asked you in the first place. also, the equation? no one cares about your delusional shit guy, shut the fuck up.
The size of your words don't matter, its how you use them. Anonymous is all a group of copy cats that follow one another around like a flock of sheep. Now is the time to opt out! NOW IS THE TIME.
I can see the value in intellectual property. It encourages people to create new art, music, literature, ect. since they can expect to see some financial benefit from it. That being said I think copyright is an inefficient way to protect intellectual property. Once information is out there it is very hard to contain. I prefer alternatives such as a threshold pledge system where the artist holds back the release of their work until a certain donation threshold is reached. Much easier to enforce.
If the British hand over Wikileaks' Assange to the U.S.A, through which Assange will get a very very long prison sentence, then our proposal is to boycott British products!
Do not buy British financial products. No British oil! No Shell! Do not buy BP oil (for more than one reason). Get somewhere else a telecom provider and drop Vodafone. No English food. No Unilever!
Go on holiday to anywhere, but the U.K. Go outside the U.K. on holiday to recover from U.K.'s behavior!
I am the first in line to rally against the misuse and abuse of copyright laws but by this video's philosophy, who exactly is supposed to be writing the books, making the music/movies, and doing the research that these people think should be free? This philosophy is a dead end. A compromise must be reached.
@Zero2Legend no, this is DEpropaganda. Don't be the proverbial prisoner in Plato's cave, don't be programmed to hate the truth when you see it. This is your chance to opt out of the big pyramid scheme and become a true agent of free will. Now is the time. Yiffu~
@furseiseki ummm ok yiffu.....i dont know why you feel important enough to put your name or whatever the fuck that was at the end of your little delusional speech and shit but i dont really care either thats all you. let me define free will for you. its the act to move about on ones own accord and guess what? i hate whats going on with anonymous. sorry, but thats how i see it through my own freewill. gotta problem with that? then get over it or seek help
@Yeah000Baby ask any artist, and they would much rather be able to keep a roof over their head and not starve, you ignoramus, and I am an artist, and a writer, so i will say that's how it is without a doubt. If God or the Universe gives me a gift to help me survive whenever I share it and others appreciate it, well, I thank the Universe and I thank God, for giving me something to survive by. So stop trying to make artists and writers not able to survive!
Without any profit to be made from said works of art, nobody would make them. Nobody does anything for free, dumbass. Your point is invalid. Where is my bagel?
@michaelspoz Not once have I been paid for writing, but I keep writing. Some of us create because it makes us feel good to do so, and the idea that it might make others feel good, or feel anything at all, is compensation enough. If anyone is the dumbass, it's you.
@michaelspoz So all art is done for profit and nothing is done for free.Only in your sad conditioned life it is,people do things for free all the time, even art.If profit is your goal, profit from this:WAKE UP,it´s because of Profit the world is in this mess, and numbnuts like you perpetuate it.Oh fuck it eat your bagel and go back to sleep.Your negativity is not needed,Piss artist.
As a scientist I would suggest that the core is to protect the principles of human existence that failing leadership is missing. Economic meltdown, obesity, distortion of nature values and violation of science for profit.
Seems like you have issues with other posters here, Not bothered, don't want to get involved other than to say - my 'typo' was "the man ON the street" rather than the 'man IN the street' Small difference but to some pedantic fucker like you it probably makes all the difference. No??
seriosuly what does it take just to have a simple life like the old days without crap like this going on. For all i know the anonymous is working for the government and giving the government reasons to set more strict internet laws or control...you just never know these days, the whole fucking world is going to shits.
interesting, good idea hitting websites like paypal where i got fucking money sitting there...why not piss everybody off why your at it. You want to get at the government, attack the government directly. fuck it, nothings ever easy these days theres just more crap, more lies, more trouble, more tension, more rules and to be honest im done trying to figure out whos right and wrong coz in my eyes yours all a bunch of lieing scamming back stabing double standard pricks. im fucking over it all ae
GMO and Copyright go hand in hand. Copyright is one of the dark blossoms of capitalism. Please understand, that you can not change the negative development of societies towards a total plutocracy, if you can't get rid of the capitalistic dogma. You have been trained to accept this dogma without questioning it and thinking of the consequences (looting of countries, patents for life, supression of information, wars, famines, jails). Your relative freedom is based on slavery. Is that what you want?
@MillyVanillification small note. patents, copyrights and such are only "owned" by a company for a certain amount of time. mickey mouse's copyright is about to expire and become public domain
@MillyVanillification when copyrights are held by the individuals who originate the material, then it serves as a source of livelihood and then they can survive with an income. sorry, but that is of benefit to the people who were the original channels of the creative gift- this is not about corporations getting the upper hand, but the people whose intellectual property it is, who need to individually make a living. They may have no other way to do so.

Most interesting, and a nice tune too, for which you paid to use. ;)
God reveals things that men want kept secret. He uses whatever methods or tools to do this as He sees fit. He owns all.
Just as the corrupt and evil church of rome tried to suppress the Bible, to stop it being put it the hands of the common man, so today evil and corrupt governments suppress the truth.
The real information of human misery and persecution has always been known to those with interest. Sadly, they have never been in the majority - so politico's and bankers with blinkered vision always win out. Do you seriously imagine that virtual 'gossip' will change this? I don't think so. Yes, it will raise activists but it is a thin line between the strata of the fair minded and the extremist. The young will always lean towards the latter. Only natural man.
@fenlandfolly I unfortunately have to agree - and I come from the 80s technology movements. I believe in the concepts of freedom of expression and free access to information; but, this kind of 'virtual gossip', as you put it, has historically triggered vastly more extremists than true activists.
I am sorry to say the the common man, the most most needed to fight these battles, is quite simply apathetic to such issues, even at his own detriment.
Not sure how to address this video. "The man on the street" as quoted, is just wanting to know where his next $ , his next meal, his next fuck is coming from ? They are not that clued up and have no real wish to be. That is how a small minority dominate and always have. "The man on the street". What, like Japanese military from 1937 ?, German voters in the mid 1930's?, Hey, what about Frenchmen in the street 1789 and a few years on? Information is not the Holy Grail you may think it is.
@fenlandfolly "The man on the street" ... hmm, seems you've rather misinterpreted what that means.
That's NOT a term for a man who lives on the street (i.e.a Vagrant). It means a person that is wise enough to know what's going on "on the street" - street-wise if you will.
Strongly advise you understand what you're talking about before you attempt to.
also, anyone else feel that wikileaks should have really started getting to the go during the bush administration? why all the leaks now that obama in office. not saying its politicaly motivated just that they prob wouldn't have caught such a shit storm in 2003 when everyone wanted to know what the bushys were doing
@trowabartokid No offence, but I think you're looking too hard for conspiracy in all of this. The very simple reason they didn't start "goign after" the Bush administration is simple - they didn't HAVE the documents. Plus, they're not being personal, they are just releasing data - do you have any idea how many governments are being implicated? Have you even bothered to read any of the documents? No, because they cover the 60s to a year ago (when the Bush admin was on in any case).
@crunchyfrog555 hahaha dude i said i know it wasn't personal. and i have read some of them just not all. considering they did a data dump its going to take me some time to read all of them. and im not looking for a conspiracy at all. im actaully the opposite. im saying everyone else is looking for some conspiracy by the u.s. gov against wikileaks and anonymous. when there is no conspiracy at all. everything is pretty clear cut.
OPERATION PAYBACK=JULIAN GETTING WHAT HE DESERVES!!Anonymous are no more than CGI SCRIPT KIDDIES,none of whom would know how to use IDA ,if their lives depended on it!SCRIPT KIDDIES HIDING BEHIND MASKS,You will PAY FOR ALL SOFTWARE AND MUSIC YOU DOWNLOAD BECAUSE I camljockykilla BY MYSELF can outhack you standing on my head!!YOU ARE DUMB!!JULIAN IS DUMB!!YOU ARE CHICKENS!!JULIAN IS A CHICKEN!!MOZART WAS POOR BECAUSE HE WAS AFFLICTED WITH POVERTY CONSCIOUSNESS!YOU DESERVE A THIRD WORLD EXISTENCE
@camljockykilla I'm sure you;d like to think that. You keep the delusions up, if it makes you feel better.
If you bothered to READ, you'd quickly realise that one of the reasons the group (which aren't just kids - they're many people, many ages, many walks of life) used this tactic before is BECAUSE it's a simple, restructured testing tool for testing the strength of websites, showing just how easy it is to take these pathetic sites down.
That irrelevant comment about Mozart speaks for itself.
Release Assange as they did with John Lennon. This is the same scenario. Those rape charges were crap to start with 2 women didnt have to have sex with him just because Julian doesn't like condoms. what guy does like condoms? Should we all be charged with rape? Hardly any wars of country vs country. Today its the common man vs corrupt and controlling Govts that don't want to release info and be honest to the public. Ive given up on NASA coming clean about UFO findings or Obama telling the truth
@uncreativeranter sweden has a very broad definition of rape though. try reading the legal procedures before saying that the rape charges are false. if they arn't then he'll be acuited in court. let the truth speak instead of insisting that its a cover up. if there is even a small posibility that he did rape them, then shouldn't it be investigated? what happens if he really did? and he's let go because people ASSUME the charges were filed just to shut him up?
@trowbartokid I guess its like the boy who cries wolf with women always coming out of the woodwork when its suits them like tiger woods' floosy whores, the Paula Jones Lewinsky, the Mel Gibson's Gorievas, the Aussie football bulldog gangbang girl who cried crocodile tears 7 years later when there was a sniff of legal compo one does get cynical. Ive heard the the girls cases were so flimsy in court that one is almost dropped because theres virtually no case & the other one by Occams razor is crap
@trowabartokid these charges that came up are a smudge campaign against Julian, wasn't it weird that they came up one day after all the big countries accused him of treason and such ( canada, USA, Australia to name a few).
its big companies and big governments that got really scared of this guy and now they are trying to silence him. For me i will do my part to support Julian as much as possible.
@innerharmoni which form of France? they've had a monarchy, and empire, 5 democracys (yes seriously, five of them), and they also had that whole cluster fuck they call a revolution. which ended with the head of the leader of the revolution under the gulliteen. No the united states people would never stand for a French revolution taking place in america. It would be too bloodly and would throw the nation into civil war. americans will bow at the knee before embracing such a Revolution
@trowabartokid America will never have a French Revolution, because America is not France. They might, though, have an american revolution. And mind you, not all revolutions mean blood. Plus, I doubt the good people of America would bow down for an unfair rule. Is America not the land of the free, home of the brave? None of them will buckle. The moment they do, they are not American.
@dragonofthedarknight actually the point i was making was a reply to a past comment about "The govs forget that we the people can always go French on their fat little necks!" thats what i mean. the blood shed from going "french" on them would be to great and america would never engage in such a thing. by bowing at the knee i ment that they would be willing to come together to comprimise before allowing such blood shed
Assange turned himself in because he has outlived his usefulness and realizes his former employer will pay him with a polonium pellet instead of the gold he was promised.
The hacking of credit card sites in retaliation for the cut off of donations by credit card companies should also tell you something, especially since Assange's former employer also runs ATM hacking scams out of Eastern Europe.
Regarding artists, I've been a long time involved in the music industry, bands, etc. and when the corporations get involved they can literally destroy the original band, replacing members with cash crop musicians, and the bands get screwed by the recording co's. When many of my musician friends figured out they could produce their own stuff and offer it up via the net, they made ALL the money, not a percentage. The RIAA is not a friend to artists at all.
I understand the sentiment behind not releasing classified info that might put someone's life at risk, but for those who support that fully, there is the bigger picture that is being ignored here. That these governments and organizations are doing it at all is the problem...tyranny cannot function under scrutiny. Knowledge is power. When people see and know what they're doing, the people have a greater chance to stop it. That is the issue.
Violent revolution HAS helped the working man! I understand what you're saying about the ones that have helped corrupt communist regimes, and that' fair enough, however, there are many more, maybe less high-profile revolutions which have made things better.
As I'm English, take for instance, the Peasant's Revolution. The poor were being absolutely shat upon. On one occurrence of the plague hitting, there weren't enough workers to go round.
Wow! That's an incredibly naive assumption. Based on a few quoted revolutions (which are dubious as to whether you state nothing good came out of them), you believe revolutions bad?
Ok, let me turn this round the other way. What do you suggest we do as an alternative?
So we sit back and let these people take over the internet and police more and more of our freedom willingly, or do we hang on to that freedom and fight for our cause?
@Dupedin2Madness Boy, you are dumber than gravy if you believe that. Do you base that stupid assumption on the only revolutions you are aware of are maybe the so-called Russian revolution and Cuba.
@Dupedin2Madness WE ARE HEADING TOWARDS THAT ANYHOW RULED BY THE BANKS - LETS JUST GET THE CORRUPT GREEDY HUMAN TRAITORS THAT ARE THE BANKING AND CORPORATE ELITE OUT OF POWER WHATEVER IT TAKES = PEOPLE RISE UP.
I would love to see Anonymous go after the fraud bankers who bilked this country out of billions...and help them "lose" what they stole to begin with. Take their wealth and distribute it to the people. That would be outstanding!
@TheTessMalone interesting side note, those from the hippie generation during the 60's and 70's all preached about not trusting the government and not trusting anyone over 30. then they turned 30. 40 and 50 years later, we're in a shit hole because those very same people fucked us all over. look at all those that are ruining america and then look at their age.
@trowabartokid Now that's a particularly stupid comment. For that to be true that would imply that ALL people of that age would have had hippy leanings. Do you honestly think that those self-same people who took part in Freedom of Speech and such protests in the 60 s are the VERY SAME people who are in those government positions? That's quite a stretch, to say the least.
@trowabartokid Plus you also say about transparency should work both ways. I think you have all that twisted.
You seem to imply the workers at Wikileaks have something to hide. As for Julian Assange, the idiotic US governments (plus others to a degree) have been after him for a few years now. If the best they can come up with is a trumped-up "honey pot" charge against, by at least one woman who has links to the US Ambassador's office in Sweden, then he has no skeletons in his closet.
@crunchyfrog555 ummm dude im implying that they should show their sources for cross examination. as for the rape charges. guess what? they have links to wikileaks, oh yeah they were julian Assang's supporters. one of which invited him to stay at her house. and sweden has a broad definition of rape. if he's guilty of the crime THEN DO THE FUCKING TIME. if he's not then he has nothing to hide and will tell the truth in court.
@crunchyfrog555 and RAPE is Never a "honey pot" charge. if there is one thing in this world that is truly evil, it is rape. a "honey pot" charge would be if he had tiny amounts of cocaine or pot or something like that
@crunchyfrog555 im not saying there one and the same. im saying it was from that generation. lets look at some of our more famous draft dodgers. bill Clinton, george. w. bush. and dick chainy. and im calling bush a draft dodger cause if you were in the national guard or air guard you didn't go to vietnam. Chainy was for the war but still dodged and Bill dodged by going to lawyer school. and i wouldn't doubt that some of those hippies did compromise their values inorder to get a job.
@dragonofthedarknight so i should freely give terrorist who mean to kill you nuclear information? or should i freely tell kids at the playground information on how to make meth? how about i tell teens on the edge of dropping out of HS how to hack their schools computer to give themselves better grades so they can pass?
naw, our info is more valuable, how do ya think the other countries of the world got nuclear bombs.... when we let our enemies turned suddenly into "friends" (china, russia) send their people over to work in our government, they can get the files too and they have done so....that's how they get our tech. But their info usually isn't worth half as much to us....it may help but it's nowhere near as juicy as ours that they stole.
@theCosmicQueen Yeah, keep telling yourself that. The US doesn't have the best technology. A lot of it comes from the Asian countries, actually. Do you honestly think american corporations are hiring american mathematicians and software programers? Most of them are probably Chinese or Japanese.
@KikiTottori so everyones secrets are leaked. im totally for that, as it creates openness on all fronts. however i have yet to see alot of other countries getting their classified information leaked. yes there are some cases but no where near the volume leaked about the u.s. diplomatic cables. im arguing fairness from all parties.
@trowabartokid Then it seems the US has a couple more skeletons in its closet. Can't blame the other countries for behaving well just because one doesn't.

Go after government secrets and big corporation's crimes.
Artists create because they love what they do or want to bring a message or change to the world. They need to be paid.
Taking royalties away from an artist is theft.

Your argument is invalid.

This philosophy is a dead end. A compromise must be reached.

MillyVanillification 1 year ago
@MillyVanillification small note. patents, copyrights and such are only "owned" by a company for a certain amount of time. mickey mouse's copyright is about to expire and become public domain
trowabartokid 1 year ago
@MillyVanillification when copyrights are held by the individuals who originate the material, then it serves as a source of livelihood and then they can survive with an income. sorry, but that is of benefit to the people who were the original channels of the creative gift- this is not about corporations getting the upper hand, but the people whose intellectual property it is, who need to individually make a living. They may have no other way to do so.

Only natural man.
fenlandfolly 1 year ago
@fenlandfolly I unfortunately have to agree - and I come from the 80s technology movements. I believe in the concepts of freedom of expression and free access to information; but, this kind of 'virtual gossip', as you put it, has historically triggered vastly more extremists than true activists.
I am sorry to say the the common man, the most most needed to fight these battles, is quite simply apathetic to such issues, even at his own detriment.

They are not that clued up and have no real wish to be. That is how a small minority dominate and always have. "The man on the street". What, like Japanese military from 1937 ?, German voters in the mid 1930's?, Hey, what about Frenchmen in the street 1789 and a few years on? Information is not the Holy Grail you may think it is.
fenlandfolly 1 year ago
@fenlandfolly "The man on the street" ... hmm, seems you've rather misinterpreted what that means.
That's NOT a term for a man who lives on the street (i.e.a Vagrant). It means a person that is wise enough to know what's going on "on the street" - street-wise if you will.

trowabartokid 1 year ago
@trowabartokid No offence, but I think you're looking too hard for conspiracy in all of this. The very simple reason they didn't start "goign after" the Bush administration is simple - they didn't HAVE the documents. Plus, they're not being personal, they are just releasing data - do you have any idea how many governments are being implicated? Have you even bothered to read any of the documents? No, because they cover the 60s to a year ago (when the Bush admin was on in any case).

@trowabartokid America will never have a French Revolution, because America is not France. They might, though, have an american revolution. And mind you, not all revolutions mean blood.

@TheTessMalone interesting side note, those from the hippie generation during the 60's and 70's all preached about not trusting the government and not trusting anyone over 30. then they turned 30. 40 and 50 years later, we're in a shit hole because those very same people fucked us all over. look at all those that are ruining america and then look at their age.
trowabartokid 1 year ago
@trowabartokid Now that's a particularly stupid comment. For that to be true that would imply that ALL people of that age would have had hippy leanings. Do you honestly think that those self-same people who took part in Freedom of Speech and such protests in the 60 s are the VERY SAME people who are in those government positions? That's quite a stretch, to say the least.
crunchyfrog555 1 year ago
@trowabartokid Plus you also say about transparency should work both ways. I think you have all that twisted.
You seem to imply the workers at Wikileaks have something to hide. As for Julian Assange, the idiotic US governments (plus others to a degree) have been after him for a few years now. If the best they can come up with is a trumped-up "honey pot" charge against, by at least one woman who has links to the US Ambassador's office in Sweden, then he has no skeletons in his closet.
crunchyfrog555 1 year ago
@crunchyfrog555 ummm dude im implying that they should show their sources for cross examination. as for the rape charges. guess what? they have links to wikileaks, oh yeah they were julian Assang's supporters. one of which invited him to stay at her house. and sweden has a broad definition of rape. if he's guilty of the crime THEN DO THE FUCKING TIME. if he's not then he has nothing to hide and will tell the truth in court.

naw, our info is more valuable, how do ya think the other countries of the world got nuclear bombs.... when we let our enemies turned suddenly into "friends" (china, russia) send their people over to work in our government, they can get the files too and they have done so....that's how they get our tech. But their info usually isn't worth half as much to us....it may help but it's nowhere near as juicy as ours that they stole.
theCosmicQueen 1 year ago
