The Montessori method of guiding a child is by observing what the child does and from that information, prepare a lesson on what he needs to learn next time. In this video it was the child's first time to build the word. If you notice, left to right directionality was been indirectly encouraged throughout whenever the child was asked to sound it out. It's just how he did it in the moment.
