Its so fucking stupid how the hit stun and the actual hit have almost the same amount of frames. And even worse, all new characters have a move that can punish on hit (im pretty sure). Which makes blanka such an unsafe character, even for combos, pro blankas should just avoid the whole move except to punish something i guess

The vertical ball punishes always follow the horizontal ball punishes per character (if there are any worth showing). So if you see a vertical ball, the next one is also a vertical ball etc, until the next character comes in. If you're unsure, just check Blanka's EX bar.
Ryu has no punish for Horizontal Ball other than super. The video leads you to believe otherwise, but those are actually vertical balls at the beginning of the video. If you are able to dash forward and sweep a horizontal ball after the nerf, I think that will be more than fair.
If you knew anything about the game you'd know those are hori ball punishes. Try dash-punishing a mid-screen vert ball with cr.hk. (hint: the way to punish a Vert ball with sweep is shown in the vid!)

Upball is literally awful unless you EX it. It is punishable on hit, has no invincibility, is safejumpable, has a bad hitbox, and doesn't do much damage.

There are quite a few moves that can punish Blanka balls on hit that I didn't bother mentioning. Just look at the life bars (eg. Ryu's Shinkuu punish). Also, some moves that can only punish horizontal balls on block can easily punish vertical balls on hit.
I lol'd at the end of the vid "shoutout for the ball nerfs" yeah, show how awful blanka ball is then state that you're happy that it will be even worse. all those punishes that you showed will be able to happen on hit in AE, and I bet scrubs will still get bodied by bad blankas. The new thing will be "electricity is broken" it would be hop, but that's getting nerfed too.
As a cody player just as a note, if you punish the blanka ball while Blanka is in the corner with an EX Slide and you get that juggle you can EX.CU or if you have U1, just do a straight ultra, it'll connect..
Thanks to endless cries of the online community, scrubs getting what they want. Blanka's hop, and slide are getting nerfed. I'm curious to what there are gonna cry about next after completely ruining an MEDIOCORE character.
As a makoto player, blankas are relatively easy, and people need to learn the normals that CAN stuff his balls... for example makoto's s.mp stuffs it clean if done at the right distance
To be honest Blanka balls are not my problem, it's the Hop mix ups and that stupid hit box. of his that makes it difficult to play againts him. Other than that, he is super free.
After reading these comments it's clear that people have their scrub mentality & theres nothing that will change that. Lots of these punishes only work from up close, but from far away you can interrupt it on reaction & from close you can punish it on block. What's left? Next they'll just remove ball completely or make him take damage every time he uses it.
Blanka is a scrub killer, scrubs complain the most & they're usually the ones that get the changes. You scrubs will lose to Blanka anyway.
As a Rose player I must point out she has the worst punishes for horizontal ball. She can only punish on block, and it must be with either super or ultra. So yes, shoutouts to Capcom for the ball nerfs.

Adon can definitely punish with U1. Holding forward will make the Ultra go further forward. The key to getting full damage is in the timing. If you do it with too early it hits Blanka as he's descending so you won't get all the hits. Notice that in the vid the punish wasn't done with Reversal timing ;)

As a cody player just as a note, if you punish the blanka ball while Blanka is in the corner with an EX Slide and you get that juggle you can EX.CU or if you have U1, just do a straight ultra, it'll connect..

As a makoto player, blankas are relatively easy, and people need to learn the normals that CAN stuff his balls... for example makoto's s.mp stuffs it clean if done at the right distance

After reading these comments it's clear that people have their scrub mentality & theres nothing that will change that. Lots of these punishes only work from up close, but from far away you can interrupt it on reaction & from close you can punish it on block. What's left? Next they'll just remove ball completely or make him take damage every time he uses it.
Blanka is a scrub killer, scrubs complain the most & they're usually the ones that get the changes. You scrubs will lose to Blanka anyway.

As a Rose player I must point out she has the worst punishes for horizontal ball. She can only punish on block, and it must be with either super or ultra. So yes, shoutouts to Capcom for the ball nerfs.

Adon can definitely punish with U1. Holding forward will make the Ultra go further forward. The key to getting full damage is in the timing. If you do it with too early it hits Blanka as he's descending so you won't get all the hits. Notice that in the vid the punish wasn't done with Reversal timing ;)

Yes adon can punish blanka with Ultra 1 but not full (depending on the distance).
so adon can punish as everyone else, the problem is not from max distance...that's all
as for vertical ball, he can punish with U1 non full as well

Nerfing Blanka is a SHAME capcom. He is the exact mid tier character, whats the point of making him weaker? Nerfing the ball is stupid, this video shows what every blanka player knows for three years: the ball is not safe, you gotta be carefull when using it. Nerfing the slide is even more stupid, since it's already the most unsafe move blanka has.
Like someone said: by nerfing Blanka, Capcom is making more Ryu players. Great job.

in case of people dont know, in this game, when you guard/get hit standing, your character goes less far...
it allows more punish against blanka's roll (or honda's headbutt).
for makoto, for example:
stand guard -> dash -> ultra1 or crMP->hayate or crHP

Blanka's ball is essentially a really unsafe fireball, not the over powered move that scrubs make it out to be. Its really annoying as a blanka player to hear people whine about it so much that capcom makes it almost completely useless.
