  • Poios pazei to pempto tragouthi kai einai se CD?

  • The ancient beat will go on forever with the overlay of bouzouki ,piano accordian, and the rest the more one listens the more one is taken in.

  • This is not turkish music ffs its pure greek that came from minor Asia which was pure greek , when the turks came and cast off the greeks everything the greeks had invented was called turkish ADE MI GAMISO KANA TOURKO GAMW

  • It comes from ANCIENT GREEK and MUSIC OF BYZANTIUM.It is not turkish, they came in Near East in the 15 century.

  • The ancient beat with an overlay of talking bouzouki, violin and evey part improvision greek blues love it

  • what cd would the first song be on?!

  • @DavidTaylorRocks From an old LP called Picnic in Greece

  • @DavidTaylorRocks

From an old LP called Picnic in Greece

  • @DavidTaylorRocks

From an old LP called Picnic in Greece - I don't know if it has been re-released on CD format

  • @DavidTaylorRocks .ΖΕΜΠΕΚΙΚΟ=dance only from male who keeps his word. And he is in love.

  • Guys relax when this music is playing there is no time for quarrelling only time to dance...you fight afterwards

I allios magkes akouste ti mousiki sikotheite kai xorepste ponontas an thelete...i istoria den allazei

  • The Zembekiko and cousin the Zebgi belong to the Aegean islands and coastal Anotolia ( greek for the eastern land) not heartland Turkey. The Zebgi is a turkiskh folk dance danced usually as a group of men ,I like it.The Zembekiko traditionally danced by two men ,tracing traditions to ancient greek soldiers dancing before the morning battle. The Zebgi also a war dance. Who are the Zembeks, who did not identify themselves as turks in coastal Anotolia. They dont look Turkish, maybe Greek Moslems?

  • This music was known as the rebe follwing the beginning taxmi by the ealiest musicians in Athens .

From here the word REMBETIKO began. The Aivaliotiko is the mother of all rembetika.

It is the patre mon of life the beginning and its beauty is revealed in an abstract truth. I pity those who have not heard and those who have but do not comprehend.

  • First of all, This aint a greek turkish song, It's a song from a place called Aivali in Occupied Greece, Modern Turkey, Theese songs are all greek, In regards to the bouzouki coming from the turks, the bouzouki comes from the Xylos Lyra, Xylos = Turtle = Xeloni, and Lyra a pontian instrument, a bouzouki with a turtle back, Acnient Greek Instrument!

  • is this on cd? can you please tell me where i can get a recording of this.

  • My Friend....nice work...Thanks a lot...I have enjoined too much...but....but....but...In my very personal opinion...you should have finished your nice work with the version of Papadopoulos...Sorry for that...

    ΚΑΙ ΤΗΝ ΔΙΚΗ ΜΑΣ ΚΑΡΔΙΑ!

    ΝΑ 'ΣΑΙ ΚΑΛΑ ΦΙΛΕ!!!

  • Some of those beautiful tunes sound neither Turkish, nor as much Greek, but rather Jewish - no wonder that one of the Ayvalik islands is named Yunda (most probably 'Jwewish')...

  • @edalbg Denial!

  • there is no genocide. we did a population exchange in 1923. Read the history before you speak.

  • Σκαστε ολοι ρε και ακουστε. Ζητω τα βαλκανια και ο τουρκικος λαος μαζι!

  • Viva los balkanes y el pueblo turco tambien!

  • Greek zeybekiko !

  • I'cant belive that in the both sides of the sea we can still find brainless persons like you who think that after 400 years the greeks took nothing from turkish people and the turks took nothing from the greeks. After 400 years there is still people who say this is our land. İf you want to live in the history this is not your land. Agamennon took it from trojans like we took it from you... Go find the trojans and we will give them back their lands. :) you brainless stupid fachist maniac

  • @alperinejad: Agamemnon didnt take that land.Greeks were the first colonists in large parts of Asia Minor. In Other parts, they mixed with the other people who lived there.Turks came in this region as invadors, conquered Greek Motherland and slaved the Greeks for 500 years, until they slaughtered hundredthousands and banished them. No one can change this today, but stop trying to relativating and denying it. Thats the way facists come out. Stay to what you did before calling others fachists...

  • @Rhomios You sad so good. You were colonists in asia Minor. This is not mother land. Not ours too. Alexander didn't took all the land with his charme. he slaughterd too. Every people killed another people for the land. İ dont deny anything. But you deny.. So, are you saying me that, in all the great greek history no greek slaughtered another paople? get off nationalist maniac... İf you want i can sand you pictures of all you did between 1920-1923 in my country.

  • They WERE colonists when they went there 3000 years ago. At the latest during the hellenistic area, is abou 2300 years ago, whole Asia Minor was Greek motherland. Further, I was about your state. If you are really recognizing the genocide to the christian population, you are protruding of the most part of turkish people. I ve NEVER said, that the Greeks didnt slaughtered another people. But we have recognited this, so that their descendands can leave the past behind. Thats the big difference.

  • hehe, we in Bulgaria have a small ancient town Trojan right in the middle of the Balkan mountains ;-)))

  • lysander1920 you are such a stupid person who can't let down his inferiority complex comming from the past. Let go your stupid fachisme... Peopl like you think that the is no greek peole living in turkey and no turkish peole living in greece. The politics made people rabid like you. Let go the history. We are going to the future and i know that the toxic people like you will dissapear in turkey and in greece. And we are going to enjoy our same culture with our greek friens.

  • Nice Greek music !

  • ya sou re romeike me ta videakia sou, krima pou se oti video syneparxei i le3i greek kai turkish mazeuontai ta fasistronia na ri3oun mourmoura

    a re parakmi...

  • im not a refugee...but more importantly Smyrna was the ENVY of Beirut and the rest of the middle east.. i agree it did have a diverse, heterogenous makeup(Predominately Greek) sadly nationalism, fascism, fear of Hellenism...ruined the city and most of Western Anatolia..these cities are a mere shadow of what they were...

    PEACE..........

  • EXACTLY!

  • My dearest Greek friends, face with your history that you were as well as we Turks were Ottomans. We share a great history and culture. Fantastic piece of music for the right soul. Enjoy.

  • "The Greek Nation never obeyed the Sultan willingly, never became slave, never forgot its origins... The Greek Race always had its King, its castles... Its King, the Marbled Palaeologus, its castles Mani amd Souli..." - Theodoros Kolokotronis, the day of the declaration of the National Revolution... Go read History and don't praise Allah or GAYmal or whatever. You are Ottomans, we are Greeks. Always different. This is our land. You stole it. You converted many to Islam. We'll never forget!

  • that is correct my friend! bravo!

  • @serkanozel: We were not ottomans, we were andare Byzantines and Hellenes who were slaved by the Ottoman Empire, until we could liberate ourselves. To call us Ottoman is a big insult.

  • slaved by ottoman empire? you should definitely read some history...

  • this is really great

  • Greece 4 ever :D.....Why are u fighting guys?? someday we are all gonna die xD....the planet will be destroyed :D :D :D hahaha i wish this day is on 2012 xD

  • Rakı Balık AYVALIK

  • Aivali was a Greek City...sorry to the Pathetic NAY-sayers who cannot accept it...just as they wont accept the Kemals' Genocide of Armenians and Pontians..

just as Smyrna was also a Greek City..even today it is called "City of Infidels" by some Turks....

  • enough nationalism. just shut the fuk up and enjoy the music, enjoy the world.

  • @akrivosdiavolos73 κυδωνιές λέγετε οχι αϊβαλι.

  • @akrivosdiavolos73

you should stop with politics. i even could start talking about cruel greek soldiers in western turkey. but i don t because it s past. look forward as good neigbours and not as enemys.

  • And Greeks were created in Asia Minor right? every nation came from somewhere. My comment does not justify Ottoman politics of the era. cities and areas had changed people many times in the history.

  • Γεια σου ρε Ελλάδα με τα τραγούδια σου....και αφήστε τους τουρκους να νομιζουν οτι ειναι δικα τους....

  • Aivali was thousands years greek area before the turks even these music comes from the greek Byzantine area, which is the basis of the turkish music so who robbed who i say?

  • ρακί ψάρια Ayvalık

  • sorry but Ayvalık is not a greek city by the way it's not even a city.. the music is so beautiful..
