  • Thumbs uo if you held your breath to see if you can do the same

  • Whats the big deal....He has FLIPPERS on

  • Woow

  • it doesn't qualify, of course he knows that, he's just having fun :)

  • danngg...lol beastly but stillll whhyyy would you wanna DQ?

  • that doesnt count because its swimming and not diving

  • has anyone notice something wrong in addtion to the not following the 15m rule? he is wearing a full body suit, not on the FINA rules!!! pathethic, from beginning to end...

  • 0:41 the commentaters reaction lol

  • That's cool!

  • Michael Phelps has 10x better underwaters.

  • @luanswan2002 i wouldnt be so sure about that tbh LOL

  • its 15 meters underwater

you cant go more than 15 meters underwater

he passes that at 0:23 into the video theres a black marker on the lane like that's 15 meters out

  • This is amazing!

  • O M F G

  • I've heard he also broke the same world record before.

    Using a speedboat.

  • 4 people can't hold their breath underwater

    haha this was insane!

  • He was "denied" the record because he cheated. You're only allowed to go 15m underwater in the 50m backstroke. He broke the rules.

  • sorry for the ignorance ....so what happened ? did he actually win or its a DQ?

  • @steadylang101

DQ. It is against the rules to be underwater that long ....I don't know the exact length. Basically you move faster under water.

  • i'm shoked oh my god he is crazy !!!

  • This is the most exciting race since that time Michael Johnson decided to sprint the 400 meter hurdles. Bold move.

  • human dolphin lol

  • damn i can't even do a 25m that fast lol

  • I'm a competitive swimmer and I have a few things to say about this bullshit; firstly there is nothing amazing about what this guy is doing - he broke the rules by not surfacing after 15m. The other swimmers can underwater just the same if they wanted to but they aren't idiots. Secondly this guy isn't the best underwater man, not even close. Watch videos of a real underwater master like Michael Phelps who stays under water even when in total oxygen dept.

  • where is his gills?

  • David berkoff and joe bernal invented this tatic

i know cuz he's my coach

  • @harrirman cool story bro

  • wtf man. to be able to this, it's already tougher than backstroke itself. plus you need to have a good stamina holding your damn breath!

  • Of course it does not qualify, but still pretty cool.

Maybe there should be an official underwater only race...

  • @dbin78 So it would qualify if he came out of the water 1 meter before the end?

  • @arjammm No it wont. you can only stay underwater for the 1st 15 meters then you must surface!

  • @dbin78 There is. It called freediving :) Dynamic apnea

  • É o aquaman?

  • aquaman finaly find out what to do with his powers...

  • amazing, this guy deserve first place!

  • @fiodorBuzu no he doesn't, that would be like giving him first place if he did freestyle (frontcrawl)

  • It just proves to man that there is more efficient way to move through water, than the ones on surface. I confirm on the base of autopsy. Obviously he knew that this is against the rules - maybe it was just for fun.

  • backstroke race, nuff said

  • holding your breath and keeping your body moving is difficult. is this the first time this happened? that guy deserves the record, but that would mean from now on evrybody will try the underwater route to glory and that will take away the beauty of swimming

  • @madVal8 in the 90's people did do this. In finals you could watch all 8 swimmers do full 50's and 100's underwater. The rule is maximum 15m underwater so that backstroke is still backstroke

  • There should be a whole new set of underwater events just for this reason

  • in swimming rules and regulations there is a limit to how far you can go underwater in backstroke. I agree he should have been DQed.

  • @dmaster7000 he was DGed...he didnt get the record

  • That was amazing and for me he is the world record holder no doubt and that rule have to be revised to make swimming a more competitive sport....

  • @MrJaydninja

How would that make swimming more of a competitive sport? Please do explain.....

You really think he'd have a chance against the best swimmers? No, they would beat his time and then swimming would just be even more boring to watch! There are rules for a reason. Now if they made a seperate event for it, then fair enough!

  • @MrJaydninja Actually the rule was created to prevent precisely this.

  • nice..and first :)...i think
