  • How on Earth does this help you ace your French if it has no translation?

  • Damn I totally failed my test, When my teacher asked the question my mind just went blank and i didn't even know what the question was!

  • @mizzyAt next time, ask them to repeat the question

  • That bitch is reading off a piece of paper CHEATTTT

  • 1st girl could give me an oral presentation lol

  • i have French exam next week i am trying to learn but i can't i am good at write but bad at talking Can you give me any tips?

  • oh my god it's tomorrow.... oh help!!!!!

  • @rocksoliddude1 Nice :)

  • I got a G for French, in the exam I wrote my name.

  • we listened to a practise aural in class and one girl talked about lady gaga and something about 'a little bit of running'.

i got mine tomorrow. i posted mine on french yahoo answers to get it corrected - i feel so genious - but now i've got 13 hours and 50 minutes to learn it (7 hours being sleep).

I can't remember it in english, let alone french!!!! what am i going to do?!

  • hehe i failed mine, i just paused for like five minutes while my teacher was waving her hands about, :D good times

  • Isn't ORAL.

  • It's less difficult than it looks: once you've written it, all you have to do is practise. I'm going to be a French teacher so I need to achieve an excellent grade. Good luck to y'all who have Aurals coming up. I'm sure you'll do well. x

  • That's something I hate about French. Your speaking in a french accent and suddenly you say a name of a band or place and you say it in English because there is no French word for it and you feel like an idiot.

  • yeah, same! i just say it with a french-y accent..

  • @TheStSilver toooootally agree. i have to say the name of my school over and over in my presentation and my questions and it sounds ridiculous. especially when i say it in a french accent by accident.

  • @TheStSilver

yeh or locations near you lol

  • @TheStSilver happens whatever country you're from. There's no word in French for some English words, no word in Welsh for some English words, no word in Gaelic for some Welsh words, etc. etc. etc. - so don't worry about it. You may feel like an idiot but it doesn't make you look like one if you explain there's no word in French for it.

  • Shit accent at the start.

  • wehey i live in brighton !

  • the chinese girl also keeps sayin parce que like "parsi kuh" instead of "parse kuh" (ignore my messed up sounds but you can tell what i mean if you listen)

  • @wongy2006 so many people do that - even our old french teacher (who was french) said it like that. Maybe it's just an accent thing because GCSE french seems to tech us really posh french apparently (says french exchanges).

  • wow.. i'm soo screwed.

  • is this only worth a B?

Crap...I have a week to learn all this crap...I am so screwed :S

Oh well...guess Im screwed...knew I never should have picked french...

  • This makes me feel so much better.

I was feeling pretty awful about doing this exam tomorrow, but I know I'm a lot better than these people. -.-

  • The chinese girl blates does Spanish.

She keeps saying "y" for "and" instead of "et."

    xD

  • so she does =P

    y = there

hmmmm "i love my school because it's very big there modern" sumthin doesnt seem rite in dere... -.^ XDDD

  • My god these two are shite

  • you never make the liaison for "et". The t is ALWAYS silent, even when there is a vowel in the beginning of the next word

  • euhh she was reading.. and she doesn't have a very good accent.. this is pretty poo.. xD

  • she's allowed to read, Your notes aren't allowed to be written in french, but you can take prompts..!

  • Would the people here have got A*s?

  • No, this is a B grade level conversation. Nothing higher.

  • is this st thomas more skwl? :o

  • I mean 'oracy' not oracity, I'm not sure where I got that from lol.

  • It should be 'oral' which in English refers to spoken production ----> oracity.

'Aural' on the other hand refers to spoken comprehension, i.e. listening.

This is just in English however, where there is a spelling change; in French there is no change:

    Compréhension orale - Production orale

  • I have a question....right at the end where does the second speaker say she wants to go on holiday if she had lots of money? It sounds like "la lune" (the moon) which clearly makes no sense at all?!

Let me know what she says? Thanks

  • im shittin maself!!

    got ma xam 2moz =[

    wish me luk!!

    xx

  • That was execellent, i have mine tomorrow!!!! aaagggh lol. By the way "Oral" is to do with speaking whereas "Aural" is to do with listening. So an Aural exam would probably be found in a subject like music

  • le professuer est stupidddd hahah

  • lol, i loved that bit. i bet he/she was watching :D

  • U 2 r really good! I had mine 5 days ago..was very easy!

  • You mis spelt "Oral" =/

  • What did you get for your orals?

  • fukin arrogant

  • how am i arrogrant im just saying i can do this jeez im not offending anyone.

  • Im nervous I have my french orals soon, if any french natives read this please check out my video I need some suggestions to improve my pronunciation ;D

  • how come she's reading it off the paper?!

  • actually she is reading notes / sentence openings/ important phrases from an A5 piece of paper. you are allowed to do this but not have the whole prentation written down. the examination board

  • oh my god... really? i'm so bad at it and i'm not allowed to read anything off paper :s!

  • lol forgot to finish it. :P the examination board may ask for the notes to be sent in. there i did it yay!!!! got my exam tomoz. :( ahhhh! lol

  • good luck
