can't get mad at you for thinking that way, but what a lotta cats these days aren't aware of is that back when hip hop started, they never had the money to buy instruments and learn how to play. but an aspect of hip hop is "making a way out of no way". do rags that were used to wipe dirt became 'fashion trends', and scratches and samples became 'instruments'. these dudes are just carrying on tradition that's all. sampling embodies the spirit of hip hop and the mind state during those times.
