Hmm. Alright. So, my dad had some issues.. Who fucking doesnt? I bet ALL of you who are talkin smak have done things you have regreted.. You just came to realization before it was too late, unlike my FATHER. My dad was the best there could be, from what i remember, Yes, i may have been young, but i remember my childhood almost to a picture memory, He may have tiped the bottle a little too often, but both he and my mom have made me the woman who i am today having to live through the many tragitie
Chris Adams bought me my first beer (actually, a pitcher just for me,) back in the mid 90's. He was obviously right in the middle of some really bad times, and as a childhood hero of mine, he struck me as exceptionally troubled. Poor guy. Shouldn't have stayed in Dallas for all those years.
I own this doco and it's quite good. I watched C.Adams during the mid-'80's when he and (the late) Gino Hernandez had their rivalry with the Von Erichs. WCCW became a major promotion based on the heat they drew off thir angle combined with the efforts of top performers such as Jimmy Garvin, Bruiser Brody, General Skandor Akbar, One Man Gang, Hollywood John Tatum, Ravishing Ric Rude, Al Perez, Al Madril, Brian Adias, Missing Link, Killer Tim Brooks, The Fantastics and The R&R Express.
WADE BARRETT WILL NOT BE AMONGST THOSE 3 CHOICES...HE,DREW MCINTYRE & SHEAMUS COME FROM A DIFFERENT GENERATIONAL MINDSET &/OR WILL 2 SUCCEED THAN THESE EARLIER GENERATION'S GUYS...IMHO,ANYWAY...
Chris Adams was a great guy he cared about his fans it is just sad his demons over took him he is one of my favourites without the Gentleman there would not have been a stone cold Steve Austin or a great super kick that was so awesome God bless him may he rest in peace and thank you for this Video means a lot to us his fans.
@carl22069 In my opinion Chris Adams was very talented, a great great performer...However HBK is a legend, Adams is not in HBK's class. And yes, don't worry, I saw all the matches Chris had with the Von Erichs, with Gino Hernandez, with Austin....Adams was great, but he's not on the same level as Shawn.
Sorry it did not work that way nor does McMahon think that way I worked for the spectrum in philly for 27 years and knew Mcmahon and also his road agents Joe Scarpa and rene Goulet,it was not just brotish against british he wanted the tag team with a great deal of bagage to draw attention, and having Chris Adams would have drawn everyone that knew him from World Class,he was not always on drugs and until recently 90 percent of his fans knew nothing of it.
No actually Vince mcmhaon was going to hire Chris,do to the fact that he wanted British against British,he was planning on putting Chris Adams tigether with someone like William regal to go against the british Bulldogs, sort of like when the Midnight express went against the Midnight express. But when rumors of Chris Cocaine use reached mcmahon he nixed the idea.
@rockytheyorky I seriously doubt that. During the Bulldogs run in the WWF, the tag team division was about 8 deep on average. Why would he care about making a make shift tag team out of Chris Adams (who was a troubled soul) and William Regal (who didn't even come to the US til 1992)? Cause he wanted to see British vs British? If he really wanted to see a Brit face another Brit he would have had Davey vs Dynamite. Trust me, there would have been more money in that than the other scenario you had.
@rockytheyorky Gino Hernandez maybe but Chris Adams I think not. Vince could have signed him anytime he wanted til the day he died but he never did which tells me he had no interest for obvious reasons. Even if he did, he probably would have just given him a silly gimmick like he did Terry Taylor and Bill Irwin.
Chris was my stepfather and a truly phenomenal, brilliant, caring human being-the only man I ever called my dad. He did indeed have a taste for alcohol (the harder substances were well before his relationship with my mom) but he taught me more than anybody ever did and went above and beyond to prove that my brother and I were more than accessories to his and my mother's marriage. I say this not only in the wake of his death and he is greatly missed by many.
GHB is FLOOR STRIPPER! It is POISON and it will KILL YOU. Do not try it even on yourself for the supposed sleep/muscle benefits and certainly do not give it to anyone else...in nearly any amount it can kill.

I was still young when he past and i never understood he was "famous" just great to see hes still rememberd greatly through all his troubled times.

I have just found criss adams on u tube he was a friend of mine for a fiew years when we were young teenagers.we trained judo together for a bout five years.he was a very talented judo player a good friend and nothing like i am seeing on u tube. REST IN PIECE.thanks for all the good we had still your friend
A lot of these guys talk about family and God and blah blah blah but in most cases sadly its just lip service and not the truth. They may say they want it but its something you have to work at not say
The girl at 5:31 looks like she's going through withdrawl, hopefully if it's the case, someone's reached out to her to try to help her out.
One thing I'm confused on, they claim he killed someone while on GHB, is there 2 types of this drug? GHB around here is the date rape drug because it shuts down all bodily functions while keeping you awake, making it easy for a predator to take advantage of their victim. I know this because I have a friend who had it slipped in her drink & was raped.
He wasn't as good as he was years earlier but still had some of the old Chris Adams in him. He had a absolutely great match with Eddie Guerrero on WCW Saturday Night. What got him fired was he had a bad real life feud with William Regal backstage and I believe they had a fight which mixed with his drug abuse doomed his spot.
Kevin said in a interview that Kerry had some pull with Vince and got him a spot or a tryout on the WWF roster in 1990 but Chris legal troubles killed the deal and I believe he refused to take a drug test.
btw the guy at 0:14 is Tony 'Banger' Walsh, a famous British wrestler from the 1970s and 80s. He exposed the wrestling business to the newspapers and also wrote a 'tell-all' book entitled 'minding my own business'.
I thought Chris Adams was great in the ring and these reminiscences about him are fascinating, but I would've liked to know who some of those interviewees were; I only recognized Kevin Von Erich and Bill Mercer.
I remember Chris when he wrestled the halls in England. He lived in Warwick. Maybe he should have stayed in England. Being famous isn't everything is it?
Chris Adams was a total jerk and a drunk A-hole. He was a mean ass drunk and he pretty much got what he deserved. It is lucky he didn't kill somebody.
Gino Hernandez was an awesome heel, and the two made a great tag team. If their lives weren't so tragic, they could've been one of the most successful tag teams imo.
i loved watching him perform in the 80's to bad he made bad choices.Hell alot of wrestlers in World class at that time made bad choices.Kinda like a death sentence in that area.Shame cause it had awesome shows.
Ya that CRack lady looked high drugged and omfg she was sick
Adams is a ledge he makes our fair old country proud he was first to use the superkick he was first to use the sharpshooter he also trained hall and austin. Id kiss his batty any day.
I remember one show was the Midnight Express vs. the Fantastics and another had Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez vs. Kerry and Kevin Von Erich. I'll never forget the heat for the bad guys and the pop the Von Erichs and the Fantastics got. It was really loud and intense.
actually if you read stone cold's book there is a chapter about his start at chris adams school in dallas. At the end of the chapter it basically sums up that adams was a con man and liar and etc. Even jim ross said some things about adams as well.
yeah, but just because Austin and Jim Ross said so doesn't make it true. It's easy to tear someone down when you're famous or well liked because lots of people will take it as true, whether it really is or not. Happens all the time in wrestling. Look at HBK, at one point he was the most hated man in wrestling.
Yeah it's easy to tear them down too when they stomp somebody's face in and kill somebody and try to kill another person who shoots them to stop them from choking them to death after they bit a big chunk out of their face.
When chris turned heel it was great because the freebirds left and he and gino kept WCCW interesting because the von erichs needed a new rivalry since the freebirds were gone
i emailed the director actually, i think hes still shopping it around trying to find someone to distribute it. im thinking, hell, ill send you 30 bucks and just send me a copy lol
Austin and Addams never got along is pretty simple. If somebody you train turns around and runs away with your wife like Austin did You would not get along with the guy.
s. I love you Dad
.R.I.P Mr. Gentleman Chris Adams. The best wrestler of all time :)

Oldskool Chris Adams and WCCW fan.
I always wondered why didn't Steve Austin ever try to get him hooked up in WWE?

Austin as said a number of times(even on his most recent WWE DVD) that he and Adams never got along behind the scenes.
But I think Adams did have a tryout with WWE in 1990. After they hired Kerry, Chris Adams and Kevin Von Erich both might have got tryouts.

Weird.
Didn't Austin train at Chris Adams' wrestling school? What happened?

Austin and Addams never got along is pretty simple. If somebody you train turns around and runs away with your wife like Austin did You would not get along with the guy.
