here's a theory, the vashta's ability to work together as a swarm goes to hell when the light (which weakens them) gets shone on them, kind of like throwing a wrench into a clock tower

@JoeyHollywood1 Could be the scripts, could be at the time Matt was just starting in the role of the Doctor before the video games started, it could be many things. I think a lot of people just weren't ready to give him a chance because they were used to Tennant who was a good Doctor and had a long tenure in it. That said, I'm glad to see you liking his take on the character in some form and fashion. He can only go up IMHO.

Personally, I'm still inclined to suspect Omega; he's the only villain who might conceiveably benefit if the universe wasn't here any more...
