  • да, мисля че е малко по-бързо, но не значително.

  • fucking awesome

  • Blows the Beatles version with the nasal George vocal and cutesy handclaps out of the water.

  • @RollingOrmond Ringo's drumming and paul's superior bass make this sound like what it is: glorified garage band nonsense.

  • @saguaroboy Garage bands represent true rock anyway, not the Beatles elevator muzak with cute smiles and matching suits.

  • @RollingOrmond That, sir, is debatable. Musicianship, quality singing and arrangements are not.

  • @saguaroboy A computer can produce the same things. Without any balls its just family-friendly sterility.

  • @RollingOrmond George's is more in tune with Carl Perkins! Love Mick but George's version more true and I love his best. Stones and Beatles best bands ever

  • @marycreeves Carl Perkin's didn't write or perform Roll Over Beethoven. Chuck Berry did. And Mick gives it the brashness which was the song's point, about Rock taking over from Classical music.

  • The Electric Light Orchestra covered the song in 1972.

  • I like The Beatles' version better. My opinion

  • 2 personas son raras

  • Wow 1963 to 1973 = 1000 years!!

  • Amazing british covers from back in the days(Stones,Beatles etc....)...They really had it...

  • Keith Richards classic Berry's licks

  • Amazing cover!!! it sounds exactly like Chuck Berry's!!! This confirms how copycats the Stones were!!!. Mere copycats right up until they're 4th album when FINALLY, after being such copycats, they came up with one original song!!! Even Brian Jones and Keith Richards had Beatle haircuts!!!! Fucking hell... When I need a copied song or looks, I'll go listen and watch the stones. Fabulous!!!!

  • @buzonperiodista the thing is when they first came out they were a rhythm and blues cover band. There objective was to cover rhythm and blues songs not copy.

  • Is this from the BBC radio sessions? And why did you changed the speed? Was it to fast from the original?

  • @robin14669 Thanks for comment. I downloaded this song from a video on YouTube address :

youtube.com/watch?v=nOPCjhIRSvU (author : vinylWindsor). Effectively, as you'll can see the song was recorded from BBC radio recordings. It is on a 7" coloured orange vinyl at 33 1/3 RPM. If you watch the video I think you will admit that it's too speed. That's the reason I reduced the speed of 5 % (my estimate) which is from my opinion near the speed of the Chuck Berry's original track.

  • @rocknsixties Thanks for the explanation. Always nice to have a recording of the Stones that comes close to the original. By the way: years ago, I read a interview with Jagger in which he said the the Stones probably would give permission to an official release of the BBC radio recordings. But still, nothing has happened.

  • These guys are pretty good, I hope they get a chance in the business.

  • this has got nothing to do with the song (its gr8 tho!!!!) but charlie looks really seductive in the picture at 1:15

  • The boys was good since the begining...the mick´s voice is amazing here

  • where can I get this song ?

  • @MOLDER79 I got it, give me ya email in a message and I will send it to ya.

  • Lymies trying to do chuck berry never happen

  • Good move on the speed

  • @Jagermeister196 Thanks for your comment ! I think it's the right speed for this song.

  • fantastic chuck berry cover!

this is at the beginning of the stones, great version.

  • @jansparrows Thanks for your comment ! The Rolling Stones early years when they were at their best.

  • @rocknsixties yeah - that is one thing so true; a few years back I bought a long player/cd that contains some material recorded by the beeb when they were testing stereophonic sonic - one channel frome the radio and the other channel via the tube : stunning ! That record has also alternate versions of hits, the cover is a replicate of the Germany-only issue of Bravo Rolling Stones, released to coincide with the second Stones tour - methinks

  • @twangville Thank you for your interesting comment. Maybe you're right about the replication of this cover, but I don't remember Roll Over Beethoven is on the German LP Bravo Rolling Stones. But I can also be wrong, it goes back nearly 50 years !!

  • @rocknsixties You're not wrong. I have an original vinyl copy of 'Bravo Rolling Stones' and it does not have this cut included; it does have a cover of Chuck Berry's "Come On," however.

  • @Iamheofwhomhespeaks Thank you for your comment and for the confirmation about the original vinyl "Bravo Rolling Stones".

  • @rocknsixties it wasn't, of course not; I'm talking about a fake cover for this cd ( Hör Du/Sonderanfertigung des Teldec shzt 531 ); this cd has no release date on the sleeve - yet the sound quality is quite remarkable - a bootleg probably

  • Well yees,never heard this before.Thx!
