For your information, Turkmenistan became an independent state on October27, 1991. Before that it was a part of the Soviet Union and before that it was a part of the Russian Empire. It was also a part of many other empires, but had never existed as an independent state before 1991. In 1983 it was called "the Soviet Socialist Republic of Turkmenistan" and had another anthem.
