@gothamcity29 Several of the title shots are taken from 1x02 (3), was delighted to spot them. But the "shadows"? Think that was filmed just for the opening (the "Z" on Garcia, too) It's a classic bit that was used a lot by Warner Bros, especially in several Errol Flynn movies. Sort of a homage to some great adventure movies.
Zorro looks good there though, doesn't he? Damn....
I would like to appreciate CorporalReyes for posting these wonderful TV series, as they remind me my childhood when I had to stop working in our farm and trying to watch Zorro with my cousins! Thanks again so much...I really enjoyed watching almost all episodes....Patrick, Toronto, canada
He sang the original Zorro theme but not the one that plays at the start of the show. If you paste "henry calvin zorro theme" into google and then click on the 4th result (from bomb-mp3) you can hear Calvin's version.
I just love the way Diego is being different as Diego and as Zorro. Fortunately, he´s able to help as Zorro to, so he isn´t a totally waisting lazy person that way.
Wait, his real name isn't Guy Williams? I mean sure I thought the name was a little off for a Spaniard but c'mon. I can't believe they changed his name. How rude! D:
The guy was Italian. His parents came from Sicily-Italy. He himself was born in New York City in 1924. He died in 1989 in Argentina where his body was cremated. His real name was Armand Joseph Catalano. He changed his name into Guy Williams probably because it sounds more Anglo-Saxon.He was American but preferred the life of Argentina and retired in the city of Buenos Aires-"The Paris of South America".He lived there for many years. He was an American-Italian who preferred Argentina over the US.
I never watched the other series - I zapped in it once, and it was a very fluffy love declaration in front of the entire village. Sort of scared me of. Plus, it's always broadcasted when I'm not at home.
@Okashira1 He has to be to lock up two women in a jail cell where the elements could kill them. Sounds like what the English did to Robert the Bruce's wife and daughter before he became king of Scotland. They were locked in cages in the same manner.
love the show watched it when i was a kid guy was the best zorro ever.

In the opening theme where Zorro and another guy are fighting in shadow, is that from an actual episode and if so which one?

Yeah, the other Zorro episodes are good too, although I do remember to love these more, looking at stories and stuff.
But the other has a better mask, for example.

The only one who can help us now is... Zorro
(surprise surprise) and he doesn't know that Zorro just left the building. LOL

Well, I think Antonio Banderas (the mask of Zorro) is better.

Italian? Wow, he pulls off the Spaniard accent well. :) In my opinion anyway. Thank you for the information! Most helpful.

@AlexanderPedersen Guy & Tyrone Powers were tied being the best Zorro. Duncan wasnt bad. Antonio wasnt either.

You missed something ! The episodes are all on youtube, you ought to give it a try. I promise fluffy love declarations are not in every episode ;)
Monastario is pretty cool, but I prefer the Regehr Zorro. He's funnier than this Zorro.
