Would love to hear you sing in a slightly less resonant place. YOur voice is distorted a wee bit because of the reverb. You don't need the reverb with a voice as good as yours. Loved your Wagner and the spirituals. Good luck in your career. You deserve to do very well. Just be sure to get connected with someone who will see to it that you don't overdo it and lose your voice as has happened to too many others. Love the sound.
The only thing I could possibly add as a constructive critisism is you sometimes seem to want to show of your baritone'ness a bit too much making it sound unnatural.
but as a critique from one musician to the other, I think it could be a little more powerful if you put a little more dynamics into it. If you started softer, and slowly build and come come back a little, build then come back, until you finally reach "if I die" and you just let it explode with all the built up emotion. that's the most powerful part of the piece and your voice should match it. more definition between the levels could make a big difference
Wow, this is awsome. I sang this for a talent show, albeit in m soprano range, and this is just so powerful. And also a totally different interpretation frommy own--inspirational!
Oh Chris!...Well Well I have just discovered the fact that you sing and HOW WELL! Now here's the thing...I'm 51 years old and some years ago I trained as an Opera Singer for nearly 6yrs with one of Britain's top teachers and enjoyed winning many awards and Musical Theater,My first love though has always been swing and I love to sing the old songs,I missed many opportunities and now sing only for pleasure(not as well)and local Drama.Your voice is lovely.
Thank you. Thank you. You sing with the passion of every parent whose heart is breaking for their child who is away at a war over which neither has any control.
My dear Patrick, I thank you so much for this most amazing and motivating Comment! WOW. I am deeply moved.
I'll be making my Washington National Opera debut next Spring in the opera Turandot, and I sing regularly with the Washington Bach Consort, the nation's premiere Baroque Chorus and Orchestra. So if you find yourself in DC, let me know! We'll get you to a show!!!!
I was in the show Les Mis, and I loved your interpretation of this!

The venue doesn't do you justice though; someone get this man a sound studio!
Keep "bring(ing) us peace, bring(ing) us Joy" by spreading your wonderfully sunny disposition; it vibrates through your voice.... THANKS! :-)
