My Little Pony: Rant on Pilot Episode Hate

The Pilot is the best well-thought-out episode in my opinion. It didn't seem like a little kid show when I saw the two parts. It had a great plot, and they introduced the characters well. It grabbed my attention. The first episode after the Pilot, however, kind of made me disappointed. They went from a really good show made for anyone, back to a little kid show again. Don't get me wrong, I love MLP, but I wish they stuck to the way they made the Pilot.

I have no issue with the pilot. I found it quite enjoyable. Introduced you to the characters and the action adventure elements were great. I'd certainly watch it over overrated crap like Lesson Zero. I never understood why people like this episode so much.

I don't think they're GREAT, I think they're okay. I don't recommend it for my friends who aren't bronies. For that one I would recommend Party of One or Lesson Zero. But after you get in the show, it's a good episode to watch.

Boast Busters was NOT my favorite. The pilot was GREAT! Party For One was one of the best Season 1 episodes I've watched yet!

Really? Most fellow fans I know like the pilot. Maybe its just the groups I talk to. Personally I liked the pilot quite a bit myself.

I don't hate the episode, I just don't think it's as good as you say. My problem is that it's based around Nightmare Moon coming back and making night last forever, when we see very little of that and the build-up is pretty weak to make me care, but when there is any it kinda clashes with the light-hearted moments of the episode, confusing the mood. Add a fairly anti-climatic abrupt ending and well, that's why I don't like it all that much.

Well, as the first episode it just has us to introduce to the characters. And it did a great job. And I love it for that. Especially with fluttershy in the first moments, completely shy. I like the sleepover too, but my favorite is Zecora´s episode (I just can´t remember titles very well). The one i disliked most would be the wild west episode, don´t know why.... but there it is. You just can´t like every episode, eh? Keep up the good work Flatty :)

People hate on it? I don't get that. I don't hate it, to me it's actually one of the better eps of the season. Also it might be one of the best cartoon pilots. I love when the pilot is multi-eped like a movie (Garoyles comes to mind). Is it because it has a different feel than the other eps? Whatever, I don't hate it. If I *had* to pick a least-fav, it mght be Griffon Brush-off, mostly cause Gilda got on my nerves (but then she's supposed to). Random: my first ep was Winter Wrap-Up.

I do not know where this came from. I liked the pilot episode. I watched the pilot to see what the "big" deal was and next thing I knew had watch all of season one. LOL. It was a weekend.

I must say, I am one of the ones who, while not hates, certainly didn't find the pilot very entertaining. I just found it a slight bit boring, and didn't have anything spectacular about it. I had my expectations really high because of all the people who keep saying "It's the best thing ever", and it was just nothing like that. Average plot, average moral, and an ending I saw coming about 10 miles away.

Episode that got me hooked was episode 3, cause that was awesome.

Show's still great though.

the worst episode by far is owl's well that ends well someone tell me one good think good about that episode instant of the punch got spiked line.
