  • Bravo! I liked this interpretation. No matter what other says, its just them opinion, but in my opinion everyone has a way to do they own interpretation and express it in a way that they like or understand it. This was something different and what i really adore!

  • This was horrible... Just my opinion, not trying to press it on others. I just really hated the sax in this.

  • Hasn't anyone heard of jazz after 1958? The level of expression, technique, improvisational concepts and musicality is much more higher than a lot of other so called "straight" guys. Saxophone players especially, I have a feeling that Paul's tone would blow you all out of the water before you got the chance to start spewing out every jive ass, lame, cliche Charlie Parker lick you knew over the changes of this tune.

You are missing out if you can't appreciate musicality like this.

  • Now that's a trombone solo! Everyone here is fantastic!

  • To everybody that dislikes this, pick up some Eric Dolphy or some of the latest john Coltrane. Jazz isn't just bebop and pretty "in-tune" sounds, though it is a good part of it. This isn't a big band where they have to be as precisely in-tune with each other. They are just in the moment of making music; playing what they feel at the moment. That's just my opinion as is everyone else on here, but I just think that there is more to music than just being straight ahead, pretty sounds.

  • Brave and it all comes out fine in the end. You put yourselves "out there" thank you for your art.

  • The alto player has a great tone. Different interpretation I must say

  • I Never Seen This Skit on Mad TV!!! this is Comedy, not Jazz, but We Need More Comedians Like these guys in the world!!

  • watch that high E!!!! you're wayyyyy off

  • @jthekk2 no kidding, it was killing me

  • @jthekk2 hey was doing a long scoop on the note which is why it sounded off for a little while

  • @jazzmanbd scoops are fine, he just never quite got to the in tune part of the note...and he's flat on the high E throughout, not just on the scoops

  • I just remember a similar version , as superb as this one, by Archie Shepp, thirty years ago...

  • what a fuck is this?! omg..

  • not good

  • how is this only rated 3 and a 1/2 stars! this is a great performance, good job!

  • Definitely not my favorite but to each his own.

  • this is like Archie Shepps version of the song. love the whole expressive free jazz like kinda feel. Nice interpretation unique and something different...

  • Geniale !

Perché giudicate l'improvvisazione Jazz con parole come "che schifo" se non la capite ...

  • AAGHAGHAGH!!!

    Terribleeeeeeeee!!!

  • So nice mood !

  • Nice interpretation. Some people can say many things against the playing: but when you play with soul all the things change

  • whoa guys, i think this is fantastic; such an original take on a classic tune! i love how he dances around all the traditional phrases, especially in his rendition of the melody and sometimes he intetionally plays resolution notesd notes WAY flat if not an entire cromatic step off. brilliant!

  • ma che cazzata, che schifo

  • I did not enjoy the way this was played. They didnt do any justice to the song. :(

  • cant say i was feeling the way this song was played...at all

  • it sounded like he tried to sound like eric dolphy at some parts and like johnny hodges at some parts, two players with two completely different styles

  • this is very unique and intense. but imagine if they did it striaght

  • Terrible, why all the bending????? You wanna play a normal E up there not an Eb.

  • how can you guys say this sounds good?

this is the worst shit i've ever heard in my life.

no pitch. this is so nasty. i feel like crap.

i'm so embarassed to play saxophone

i think i'm gonna go run into a knife just listening to this.

  • don't worry.

your not alone. Like i said before, like nails on a chalkboard.

I can't imagine being in the audience and listening to this. Those people must have been deaf or had their hearing-aids turned off cause it suckedddd
