Great work China.... im very happy that yous participated well... unlike those ignorant north americans... can't wait to visit china... love from australia.....!!! Hong Kong looked so awesome when it was all dark
@Hamptoncltn yea i herd North American's didn't really give a crap about the whole earth hour thing... at least most of Asia and Australia participated well... you should have seen how awesome Hong Kong looked when it went all dark
I'm not exactly sure I understand what this will do. And I'm being serious. What does this accomplish? Is it to save energy? Is it to show people are uniting for a cause? I've read up on it a little, but haven't found a satisfactory answer. Can someone explain this?
Ok, that's fair - awareness of? What people are calling Global Warming then? But support for what? Or is it back to a unification of people on the planet? Is it to show how many people support the whole Global Warming thing?
I wonder if a lot of dumb americans will destroy the purpose of this by getting bored because they can't have any of their electronics on so they have nothing to do and instead go for a drive.
Wow, whats the points of having all those lights on every night. I mean, like the olympics are over so no one gives a damn if the buildings look good or not. Just keep those flipping lights off china, you pollute the air enough as it is...

earth hour 2009 was so much fun! (:
it feels great to be making a difference, no matter how small; once we all take part in it, our little actions make a huge impact.
