everyone hates this movie, but I like it. It has dark and light scenes and I always cry by the last scene.

Though the second movie had a "dark" storyline, the actual feel of the movies got darker each movie. Ok, 3 was a little darker than 4, but after 4 they get very dramatic and dark. The composers did a good job and expressing that in the soundtracks, as the score got darker with the movies.

@masteryodaman111 I have to disagree. I found 4 to be very dark. Chamber of Secrets wasn't now as we picture the 6th film "dark" like that. It was more of beginning to get dark but I see what you mean. :)

I agree with all of...Ok, most of you.This book defineetly has some creepy going on, but the books get more...Mature as the series goes on. Theres more swearing, and more elements that are of Harry's respective age with each book. Either way, im re reading the entire series, while listening to the OST, so its pretty awesome

This is one of my alltime most memorable Theatre experiences. Seeing this was the first time I'd seen a movie opening night. I was 7.

I'd never been at a movie where the audience cheered at the title and got so involved with the movie. The experience will stick with me until the end.

OBVIOUSLY John Williams should've done the whole series.

It was an unfortunate mistake made by Mike Newell, going with Patrick Doyle.

@cinemaker006 it wasn't Mike Newell's fault, John Williams was just too busy with other movies that he couldn't do another Harry Potter. he barely had time to do Chamber of Secrets. although it would be nice to have John Williams to do the whole series but it's nice to get a different feel as the movies progress

@Inca666 Did you ever see "Creating the World of Harry Potter: Behind the Music"? It was Mike Newell's decision to change composers. He felt John Williams' style of music didn't fit his style of filmmaking. He wanted something darker and more sinister.

People think the Potter series got darker from the fourth movie - I find Chamber of Secrets the creepiest of all! Even though there weren't many dark wizards around or deaths at every corner, this movie gave me goosebumps by evoking a really sinister, brooding environment...

@RushTheSilver Yeah I never understood people who said that the second movie was boring and long, this movie is my favorite because how detail it is on sets and character and the fact the story is more darker, it was alot of fun watching in the theater, for me this story define what HP is all about not SS.

Well, I didn't actually even notice Pt 1st soundtrack. I didn't notice any music at all. Of course there was some, but John William's music would be really perfect for the finale. He did the music 4 the 1st three movies, it'd be kinda symbolical, if he'd make music 4 the last one as well.
