saw him at the Orpheum in Memphis a couple years back (great show), & later backstage he played 3 songs (on my guitar, no less) to an awestruck room of a fortunate few.
he played:
cold water
amie
and hallelujah
he played hallelujah especially for me & a friend who were in Memphis at the time to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Jeff Buckley's tragic drowning there.
I Was There....!! I Sat in front a bit to the left.. I was so frustrated over the fact that you needed to pay an additional fee (about 40 $) to see damien rice (this of course was in addtion to the festival ticket which already costed over 200 $).. At one point I actually considered to boicot the concert, luckily my friends draged me along.. Best concert of my life!!! Made the whole festival worthwhile... !! Thanks for the videoclip, weren't able to take any photos... Thanks and blessings!
at first I was like: "oh is he telling a Lisa story?" But who the hell is he talking about? Was there anyone else singing Volcano with them?

Anyway, like you say, complete magic!
Damien was so gracious & demure.

You mean the boat fee? Yeah, we were annoyed too. The festival ticket was expensive enough. But I wouldn't have missed this for the world.

Around 800, according to the newspaper i just bought. That's quite a lot for that venue.
