it works well underwater? and after it is everything ok with the camera?? I love it when I saw it the first time.. but still have doubt about the waterproof part. Help me please!
thanks for this, i was thinking of getting the same camera but I wasn't sure because I read some reviews that it's not so waterproof and it's more "splash-proof"
Is it really waterproof for you? and also they said it takes forever to take a picture, it seems like when you press the button the screen auto focuses, goes black then takes a picture. Does that happen to you?
I love this blue one :-), I'm gonna get this next week, good thing I watched your vid for that power on thing to, now when I need to take pictures really fast I won't have to wait and I can capture the moment.
@RockIslandFly I've been thinking about getting this camera. There are cheaper cameras that shoot better pictures from what I've heard by others. But if the 8010 shoots pretty good pics and video is decent It may be ok for me. The trade off I been thinking about is how tough the camera is. And my two favorite metals (besides Platinum & Gold..8) are aluminum & stainless which it is made of.
@skjoyner There certainly seem to be cheaper models that due shoot sharper. Sometimes at the long end of the zoom it has trouble focusing but maybe a firmware upgrade coule fix this.
There are a slew of cameras out now that all do well as all weather cameras, the lens cover on this model and the 8010 is a great feature in my books and as a result truely let you bang this around a bit more without fear of scratching the lens.
@RockIslandFly with all the negative reviews at amazon and other places on the 8010 I see the prices dropping some. I may give it a couple more months before buying it. I have a feeling by then I may can get one on Ebay for around 230 to 250 bucks.
To the people wondering if its waterproof....I have taken mine in the pool and on vaction and into the ocean. it works perfect still

how do you set the camera to iAuto so that it's always on iAuto? When I turn mine off and turn it back on it is back in the P mode.

@RockIslandFly how are you liking the camera?

@skjoyner Just fine given what it is, but I do find it to be a little on the soft side, although that is absolutely nothin that software can't fix.
