What exactly is there to protest? I have worked for Allied Barton for quite a while. I make $11.06 an hour. I have one week of vacation every year. I own my own home and I drive a 2007 Ford pick-up truck. I have absolutely no problem paying my bills or putting food on the table. If you can't be responsible with your paycheck, that is not your employers problem! You are a SECURITY Officer not a Police Officer, how much were you expecting to make? If you don't like it get another job!

We see how well that is working - killings even on military bases where a Mohammedan soldier mows down our non- Mohammedan soldiers. Now with all the chaos yet to come, do we want cheap security? I've worked for 5 security firms and of all of them AlliedBarton was the worst. Them come into you city/town make the same promises about keeping former staff and fire everyone and replace them. In Milwaukee alone under the direction of Michael Polenzani and Frank Berry we saw 15+ great guards go at one installation alone. As long as they can drive their new cars and go home to their rich houses they don't care about you at the end of the day....
if you arnt happy with 8 bucks an hour get another job. Can't blame the company for hiring you at a set starting wage. I started out with them at $10.65, and while the rate is capped because of economical conditions I still cant complain considering I'm doing a job that almost anyone unskilled is capable of doing.
also, i work an average of 55 hours a week, because they can't get anyone decent to work here that will actually come in for their shifts. but when my mother was in the hospital having emergency brain surgery and i called off for 3 days, my only call in of the year, they wrote me up and threatened to fire me if i called in again, no matter what, doctors exuse or not.

I spent over 1 1/2 as an officer with ABSS and was broke the whole time until I took it upon myself to find out how to get more money. I am now in a district level position and see everyday officer's who cannot pay bills because of the wages.
I will never mislead a new officer and tell them they can live happily off our wages but if you do not have an education, trade or self-drive; retail even pays less nowadays.
These rallies are a good thing in order to raise awareness of low wages. However you need to know that AlliedBarton is not responsible for the wages paid to each officer. The wages are determined by the client; in this case it would be the school you are referring to. If an officer is unhappy with their wage they can always ask for transfer to another site or become proactive with management and the client to raise awareness within their organizations to increase the wage.
that isnt true next. your wages are not determined by the client they are charged a certain rate it's up to the company determines your wage and their profit margin. It works just like a temp agency
In my division of AlliedBarton, my job is threatned constantly. Management looks upon you like you are worthless and are slave lackeys who do their bidding and threaten you constantly. Maybe they should DARE TO BE GREAT and treat people with respect and give them PROPER sick days and a friggin MINIMAL pay raise. Take care of your own alliedbarton! If a proper response is not forthcoming in a business like timeframe... my next move will not be further conversation.

I support that rally. I am a former allied barton or as I like to call them allied bastards.
