I agree with you, asmith. Some of these people complain about the people in office now but not the people who preceded them. Mayor Hudson is in office because the mayor before her was horrible and left the city almost a million dollars in debt due to theft and allowing some people to not have to pay their water bills for years. So, these are people who have been angry for awhile and just want an excuse to slander those in office now. But these people hardly know what they are talking about.

I am proud that I am from the Delta, that I currently live in the Delta, and that I am an African American. All African Americans do not caryy themselves this way. Ms.Brooks was NOT pregnant at the time of this meeting; she had said she WAS "with child", but had miscarried 2 weeks prior (medical records will bear this out). Ms.Brooks and her mother have stolen $1000s from Leland and are looking for a way out of it. They came up with this scheme of blaming her miscarriage on being removed from the meeting so they can sue, something Ms.Brooks brought up prior to being removed. They should be ASHAMED of themselves (do they know what shame is?!?).

Are u serious!!!! This will definitely lead to a lawsuit! As far defending her behavior..no one is. Nevertheless talking about her and belitting her shows your character as well. U have none. How is she making Leland look bad as opposed to anyone else??

Lawsuit or not, I don't care, it's amusing. And belittling her? LOL, we don't have to do that, she did it to herself. I didn't talk about her I am laughing at her. I don't know her to talk about her but I do see enough to laugh at her. And why are u so defensive about this? Gee Whiz! It wasn't you rolling on the floor screaming and kicking so why do you have your undies in a bunch? SMH! Oh and character? LOL! I have plenty, if you had any, you would stop trying to defend this mess!

Defending the ignorance of these comments is what's being done and that shows more character than u will ever own. And as for the cookies u can have them so u can keep your mouth closed because u obviously don't know when to stop. If you were only laughing then none of these comments would have been made.

She makes Leland look bad because she is an ELECTED CITY OFFICIAL! If it had been any other city other than the one you reside in, you would be talking about it also. That's like a school teacher throwing a fit in front of your child's class, who wants a teacher acting like that to teach their children something?NO1! So, who wants an elected official acting like that to represent them.We're gonna give you an A for effort for trying to defend her though. :-) Want some cookies to go with that?

Well, you are probably one of the same people who voted for George Bush! He made a whole nation look bad in front of the whole world. So, where does your intelligence stand in that regard? My point is this: let the people who live here and know what is really going on do the real judging. If you want to complain about a political official misrepresenting someone, then write George Bush a letter. He is your best example of incompetance- along with yourself, of course.

LOL... I wasn't going to entertain you but you have once again amused me. Firstly Common sense is something that you get by life experience not by age. Secondly, what school did you go to that takes ten years to finish college? I'm a senior in college now and I know it hasn't taken 10 years.... I thought colleges and universities took 4 years under grad with community colleges taking 2 years. Not even going for a doctorate takes 10 years. That would take 8 years top without summer school.

Your comprehension is so poor that this is going to be my last comment for you. You are too naive if you think someone doesn't know how long it takes to graduate college! I graduated 20 years ago! And yes, it does take some people 10 years to get a degree- if they are slow! That's why I mentioned that it might take you ten years. Get it now? Oh, just forget it!
Anyway, seriously, I applaud anyone trying to better himself through school. So good luck!

Last comment or not, you should have NEVER said anything to me because this convo that I was having was with someone else and if you just HAD to reply then it should have been with a valid point and not dealing with George Bush because this is clearly about Leland Alderman. And in comparison to George Bush, she isn't even on the same level and with his actions being stupid or not he is still better off than she is so he can act a fool if he'd like.

Are you the accountant in Leland??? How do you know what the money was used for? And as for her position she obviously has been doing something right to keep getting re-elected.

I'm sure not the accountant in Leland and actually I'm ecstatic that I'm not affiliated with Leland after this mess being leaked onto the net. How do YOU know what the money was used for? Did u get a cut in it since you are trying to attest for everything. And people like that get reelected all the time because small towns don't really have much to choose from other than being persuaded by others to elect officials who are abusing the system.
