@goodtimesontoob he hasnt tried to lose his accent...its just a progression in their sound...hes been singing for a lot longer now so his voice isnt quite like that classic british yorkshire yelp anymore...but a deeper, more textual croon...as a result his accent is less noticable...I love both the old Turner Yelp, and his new found, deeper, more senual tone...its all progression in the music and band...all around arctic monkeys are still the best

But to be honest, if they tried to hold on to that kind of energy it would start to seem forced. And that's why I love them. They don't seem obliged to stay the same people because of what made them popular. They've got a different kind of energy now, and Alex is developing a lovely grown up voice.

I think that when it comes to music not too many girls do that...I mean you hear the music..kind of irrelevant what the band memebers look like. Ugly people can sing really well and pretty people can sing really aweful... - So maybe it would play a factor in watching interviews...but, with the actual music..and it seems like people agree with me on this...it really doesn't matter.(and usually you hear and like the music before you have any clue what the band looks like)

i kinda disagree. they seem the same to me, they're still uncomfortable in interviews, they've come out of their shell more-they piss people off cause they just dont understand the AM brand of humor. imo, they've stayed mostly the same but they're a bit more outspoken, less timid, and free to be themselves

it's not that that gets to me though, i think it's more personal - i fell in love with em when they were like this, and before i knew much about them. it was all mysterious and different - it's like that with most new bands. i just miss those days i suppose.

!!! woooow! if you're referring to comments they (well Alex) has made when receiving awards like "we are the most fantastic" and "who else was gonna win best band award" then come on..it's just funny for one, you could tell he was saying it in a jokey way but being serious underneath all that but it's true anyway. I don't think they've let the fame get to their head at all! I can't even believe someone out there thinks that. anyway, your opinion

they've changed slightley cause they've become more experienced whilst they've become a bigger band. they've become aware of things and they kinda know what to expect from the media and stuff, whereas here they're a bit more naive cause they weren't as famous.i'm sure they're the same now as they were before, but i think they've just changed a bit. i don't think that you can say that fame has never changed anybody famous. it has to change you one way or another..

I think that when it comes to music not too many girls do that...I mean you hear the music..kind of irrelevant what the band memebers look like. Ugly people can sing really well and pretty people can sing really aweful... - So maybe it would play a factor in watching interviews...but, with the actual music..and it seems like people agree with me on this...it really doesn't matter.(and usually you hear and like the music before you have any clue what the band looks like)
