phausser, the american faced the toughest divisions the germans had, sure the british and canadians did too, but remember op. market garden the US 82nd and 101st airborne infantry were the only ones to accomplish thier objectives, the brits fucked up by going in with bad intel and lost everything

Im telling you Hitler and his generals had more respect for the British soldiers. The SS units were placed against the British at Caen. The 1st 2nd 9th, 10th and 12 th SS units were ALL against the British. The left flank was were the Germans place regular units. The 352 division and the 3rd Parachute division.
This is were the US was. My two uncles fought in Sicily Italy and France. I know about this issue firsthand. We had to drop Massive amouts of bombs to achieve a breakthru.

Nice answer dummy. Guess it was easier to believe Saving Private Ryan than my discussion with soldiers who were there. My independant thought is "Go to Iraq and get killed by Mujahadeen"
