@tonyyu1237 This is an Asian Water Monitor Lizard that people usually keep as pets and not as dangerous as the Komodo Dragons, but however they are related as they are both Monitor Lizards (Varanids) but only the komodos carry that dangerous bacteria in their mouths than these Goannas (called: Goannas in Australia) I know lots about my fav. lizards lol. bt yea Komodo Dragons and Asian Water Monitors look different some even get the Crocodile Monitor confused with the Dragon, but it's longer.

That big lizard is Asian Water Monitor. I recognized its patterns easily. A local pet store has a full-grown monitor (about six feet long) as its exotic pet. Komodo Dragon has no patterns, just plain grey/brown.

@leonghk12 its not a komodo dragon, and no it's not venemous, their saliva contains alot of bacteria wich can cause infections that can kill other animals. This is an asian water monitor, has the same saliva, but is much more docile then komodo dragons in general =) can't get that big aswell =P

I don't think phobias can truly be overcome that easily. I have touched a boa and held snakes before , but that doesn't stop me from waking up in the middle of the night from snake nightmares or spending a hours hyperventilating and on edge because of an accidental snake encounter.

moniters and komodos can both kill u in the wild but captive bred komodoos and moniters probably wont. a komoddo is also a moniter and in the wild, they usally eat dead prey. the siliva of a komodo is infested with dead animal bacteria so would the moniter. water moniters are one of the larger lizards but the tammer ones.

The Comodo Dragon has like all dark skin, but the Monitor Lizard has bright yellow lines on its skin, like the one in the video, so i think it might be one as well, but either way in the end this guy had a phobia of the animal and getting over a phobia is never easy. :(
