  • Achilles was a GOD. He was "IMMORTAL". Hes still remembered right?

Myrmidons were real and were recorded in history. Plato or Homer? That talked about ant people? I already explained this. He was describing people coming together like ants. Busy working ants. People out of no where came together. It was a recruiting process. People wanted to goto war with Achilles against Troy. Spartans and Myrmidons came together.

Even Achilles didnt like the King. He fucking hated him.

  • The only men of honor here was Hector. I mean, he was perfect, brave and he was always right but no one would listen to him. But if they were, maybe it wouldn't have the end like it did. Hector the best! :D

  • I know right,I wish they would make a movie bout the odyssey with the same actors-3-3

  • little does odesseys know..he will get lost for 20 years trying to get back to Ithica muahahahahaha

  • I used to be an adventurer like you...then I took an arrow to my heel.

  • Even though the story was way off, I did like the acting, the action, and the cinema photography. I didn't really appreciate this movie enough until I watched newer movies like The Immortals and Clash of the Titans. :/

  • This is a great movie.I love Greek history. But is something wrong with the movie...the Greeks speak Greek not English ;p

  • @Grargentineheart Hector was truly the best man in the field. But it's Homer's "Iliad" not "Troy". I bet you realised already. ))

  • I fucking hate Paris what a little bitch coward

  • can someone tell me what is it said in 0.28-0.30 and in 1.02-1.06...????

  • @Mrshsm7 "they're sending the largest fleet that ever sailed." and

"This Hector... is he as good a warrior as they say?" "The best of all the Trojans".

  • @saccerzd thank you so much...i needed for a homework..=)

  • i used to be immortal, but than i took an arrow to the heel

  • ΕΛΛΑΔΑΡΑ!!

  • I used to idolized Achilles then he took an arrow in the knee :(((

  • He shoulden't have died, its not like he took an arrow to the knee.

  • @otr0n well at first it only was his heel but afterwards there were other arrows - some in his back if remember correctly. he was like the only person i liked in this film, but i guess even he would have to die with arrows in his back.. (they didn´t say anything about that "only his heel can be wounded" in here either^^; )

  • @Lilithly I was making a the "arrow to the knee" joke that has become very popular lately

  • @otr0n i just found out about these jokes yesterday, so forget what i said^^

  • eyeliner :)

  • I used to fight in the trojan war, then i took an arrow to the heel.

  • If you watch how this movie was made then you'd never want to watch this lol. The acting is like kids fighting. What makes it good is blue screen and special effects. A lot of abstract!!

  • Achilles: "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the foot."

  • @TheGalacticEmperor HAHAHAHAHAHA overused.

  • And for everybody to know: Achilles died before greeks made up the trojan horse

  • there is no words to say.... simply awesome,,,,,,

  • Patrocales was Achille's gay lover... I lol at how everyone seems to have forgotten how the ancient Greek society had a large portions of homosexuality and pedophilia. Before you point ignorant figures, go read a book!

  • @Strygus No it's not true haha. Patroculus was his best friend not his lover. And don't be so ignorant too ok, I read the olympus legends and he had a lot of lovers, one of them and the last was this girl named Briseis.

  • my best part was when the old guy shouted " Is this what u left me for"

  • this trailer doesn't justify the movie !!!

    the movie is imply awesome..

if u look for warrioir movie with a gud plot this is the one !!!

  • Hector is all that a real man should be.

  • EVerything was different Odyssues shouldnt have died he should led the horse tactic and everyone wasnt suppose to escape it was that odysseus finished them off and killed all of troy it was that friend of his who was suppose to borrow his armor and hector was suppose to take the armor and use it himself and the Blacksmith god was suppose to make achilles non-pierceless armor

  • well, no wonder Helen left Menelaus; he's so old and ugly compared to Paris the Suave.

KIDDING. in the original story(ies), Menelaus wasn't this old though. then again, i can be a bit of a purist, so don't mind me XD

  • whats is the soundtrack called!!!!!!!!!!! ?

  • Orlando Bloom looks so young! <3

  • anybody know some good roman or greek war movies?

I love this type of thing thanks

  • oh man....the movie is fantastic, but i have to admit that the story is a lot different from the original one, from what Homer wrote...in this movie,it seems like the Greeks where the bad guys and that's not true.....

  • This was a great piece of work!

Would you mind telling me which song/songs you used? I love this kind of songs. :)

  • @GregRyanFanatic The final song is Immediate Music - Redrum :)

  • i have not seen a more epic movie than this

  • whats the soundtrack calles?? >.<

  • @1Haldir If you talk about the film, it's OK (you only forgot to mention the Myrmidons).

If you talk about the Iliad, there were dozens of greek cities (from the Ionian Sea to the Dodecanese and from Thessaly to Peloponnese). Trojans had a lot of allies too (Dardanians, Carians, Lycians etc).

  • whats the song ho comes after now you know ho you fighting??

  • thanks ;)

  • @1Haldir Mycene??

  • whats the name of the last song!!!??? :P

  • whats the soundtrack calles?

  • All this over a chick...

  • Brad Pitt is NO Achilles.

  • fuck the younger prince IS SO FUCKING STUPID FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK I HATE HIM RUINED EVERYTHING HES THE BIGGEST IDIOT EVER FUCK HIM but its a movie so yeah

  • lol i tohught this movie was the shit..being a gore and action loving person this movie deifantly fit the bill..it was full of love.. and betrayal and just everything that most peopel will eat up....unless youro n of those people that has to know everything about the film inculding stories ..older films and etc....which it retarted movie based off a book are hardly like the actaual book so people get real here

  • DAMN! THINGS YOU WILL DO FOR A PUSSY..

  • After having read Homer's "Troy" and studying it, I must say I was very dissapointed with this film. The only character I liked was Hector (which I also like very much in the prototype). But Achilles wasn't so big-headed, selfish and "badboy" as *this* Achilles, Patroclus was not his cousin, Paris was not so naive and Menelaus - I think - was not so old. They changed so much the characters they ruined the film :(

  • @Grargentineheart I won't say they ruined the film - It's still a good movie, but it's true it's no way near the original story...

  • @daneimp It is a good movie indeed, good visual effects, AMAZING soundtrack and all, and they kept the plot very true to the original, but again, making the characters so out-of-character was the worst mistake they could do... So I correct what I said: It is a good piece of art, a very good movie, but certainly a ruined approach to the characters.

  • @Grargentineheart Yep,and they also killed Menelaus and Agamemnon in the movie. That's not how it happened in "Iliad".

  • @SiriuslyRedCloud They killed them???? Oh God... And with whom did Eleni end up? In the original, Eleni went back to Sparta with Menelaus...

  • @Grargentineheart She ran away with Paris. And Briseis killed Agamemnon. I was like WTF? That's not how it happened! Menelaus and Helen went back to Greece together, like you said it. And Agamemnon was killed by his wife Clytemnestra (Helen's sister). But,I guess that's not Hollywood like,so they changed everything.

  • @SiriuslyRedCloud Awh, God... Briseis killed Agamnenon... What else will I hear in this lifetime????

  • @Grargentineheart LOL,I thought you've seen this movie? Shocking,I know... *rollseyes*

  • @SiriuslyRedCloud I gave up on it after half an hour... So no, I haven't seen the ending :P

  • @Grargentineheart yes she went back with Menelaus in Sparta because Menelaus didn't die like in the movie and then she was tooken by a god (i don't remember who exactly) and he/she brought her to Achilles in Olympus(or where Achilles' mother took him before his death), and this fact because Achilles had a sympathy for her too when he was alive.

  • @Grargentineheart No, Menelapus wasn't old and Helen loved him and she fell in love with Paris because of Aphrodite's magic. And Briseis wasn't Hector and Paris' cousin, she was a princess of a king named Brises or something like that I can't remember exactly the name.

  • @Grargentineheart Menelaus*

  • @Grargentineheart It's called the Iliad. Not Troy.

  • @Mewsu Oops, my mistake ^^; But since over here we call Iliad Troy and vice versa, I guess it got mixed up in my head...

  • @Grargentineheart that´s probably why they named this film "Troy" and not "Iliad" ...-.-

  • great film braveheart is better tho

  • 1:38 superman stab

  • its like Team Jacob and Team Edward but its Team Troy guy and team the other one xD

  • i like this movie cuz of the epic action and Sean Bean doesn`t fucking die

  • Troy is NOT the Odyssey.... the Trojen War ACTULLY happened but the Odyssey was just made up by Homer! The Odyssey is about a war hero from the Trojen War (who was real and was called Odysseus) the book is all about his 10 year journey back home and is completely fictional (as you would realize if you read the book). This movie is about the real war (but it was far less cool or dramatic) which was all over this guy who ran away with or abducted (as some people think) some other guys wife.

  • This trailer is just PERFECT congratulation, better then original

  • is the movie anything like the book?

  • @lindsey4heart

Yes it is. Very well done movie.

    HECTOOOORR!!

    PARIS!!!

    NOOOO!!!

    I'm Boromir.

  • Must be shit being the guy at the front...

  • The greeces wanted Troy. Helen going with the Trojans just made it possible for the war to happen.

  • Hey guys,

Want to see Achilles (Brad pitt in Troy) kill like Leonidius in the style of 300? Now you can, At Reverse The clip we feature Epic Moments!

    Check out Troy 300 style/Effect

  • If you've read The Iliad, then you know this movie isn't as accurrate as the book or the history. I read the book for school before seeing the movie and i have to say i was a little disappointed. It was a good movie, they just didn't have as much of the historical element.

  • This movie is awesome but really sad. I think its weird how htey fight over 1 girl. there are millions in the world. You just have to find one.

  • only 200k + views? this movie was fucking brilliant!!!!

  • why in this movie to both sides always have big armys but it turns to a 1 vs 1

  • I actually love this film!

  • Oh i get it, so this huge war started because a kid was horny?

  • really good:) oh man i love this film i talk along with the speeches ha...

  • Whoa! this is a fanmade trailer??!! You're really talented!!! I couldn't even tell until I read the description!!!! great job!!

  • @demilovatoluver152 oh shit I've just realized from reading your comment.

  • @yoshful if you watched the movie then yes

  • This movie was greatly miscast. Brad looks like a Ken doll, not "The Greatest Warrior who ever lived" Diane is more like a 6 or 7 to be playing the hottest woman who ever lived. Charlize Theron would've been much better in the part.

  • @haleyteddy03 I was thinking miranda kerr

  • @demilovatoluver152 Yeah, she would be good too.

  • Helen is hot

  • not unless you have a royal family back up!

  • thats a good reason for me to be proud for being greek

  • after watching this movie you just want to get outside and take your friends and make an epic battle with anyone

  • 1:28 "Then every son of Troy"

    *puts on glasses*

    "Shall die"

  • I would like to know the title of the song ;o

    It's an awesome movie!

  • who plays Priamos? Does anyone know that?

  • Paris strikes Achilles in his heel, the only part in his body where he is vulnerable....

  • this is amazing

  • they have change the history a lot...

  • Is this fan made coz it's so good the trailer!!!!

  • I watched this movie and it's so damn good!!!! Oh and when I read the story Achilles dies before the big horse thing.

  • HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF MEN DEAD AND GONE..

    OVER A CHICK.. WOW AHAHAHAHA

  • @JusJuiceIt

    mainly paris' fault

  • @JusJuiceIt It wasnt really about the girl, for centuries thay wanted to make war with troy they just wanted an excuse and when they took helen it was just a perfect excuse

  • @cheng269

lol oh ok.. yea man that makes sense

  • @JusJuiceIt no problem

  • @JusJuiceIt if you never watched the movie. they really didnt fight over a chick. they wanted to burn troy.

  • @ModernWarfare2Owns

i did in fact watch the movie.. and i see what your saying but the whole female situation definitely did provoke and push them over the edge enough to attack troy

  • @JusJuiceIt

It wasnt over a chick..are u illit?? judging by your username u must be..

The whole battle was based on political power and conquer...READ-READ-READ..

You didnt pay attention I guess when Agamemnon was talking to his mentor and his motive to 'help' his brother Menelaus....watch again.

  • @Rxouzo12

lol.. why do you have to insult me to write a response? lol.. and yea ok, it was over power, but in the 'movie' if the girl didnt go with them, it wouldn't of happened the way it did.

  • @JusJuiceIt

It wasnt my aim to insult u but to make u see that the movie`s story had an alterior motive..

    Glad u see it though.

  • @Rxouzo12

yea i do.. and thanks man

  • LADIES n GEntlemen my favorite in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD...i know all the lines in the movieXD

  • my favourite personage is Heitor

  • @SchoolShit1 you mean Hector...

  • ^^ lol total rampage of war

  • ok noob question ! ^^ did this story did really happed ?

  • @jeran2010rioyamato I think the Trojan war really does happened, taken place around 13th or 12th century BC. But its still unknown if the characters actually existed, because this movie is inspired by the epic poem Iliad, written by Homer around 8th century BC. If the characters were clearly proven existed, then Greek mythology exist (still impossible), because some of the characters there were children of the Greek gods (Demigods) ex.Achilles, Aeneas, Helen, etch.

  • by far, the second best movie i saw after lord of the rings! truly amazing!

  • that hair is just a bit ridiculous on brad pitt xD

  • AMAZING MOVIE!! !

  • all time favorite movie!!!!

  • and really, like Menelaus would think his brother was going to go to war with him just for his bride. Riight, like there was nothing in it for him XD

  • dude, say what you want about teenage love being stupid, but NO teenage relationship or fling will EVER be as dumb as Paris's and Helen's. Romantic, but dang, they wouldn't think anything would come from her running away from him??

  • @klaksu612 I guess you can fill in the blanks with those 2 lol Hector also never killed Ajax.

  • they did not follow the original story, they forgot about the gods

but I liked the movie :)

  • @MsSupergirl1595 Hector didn't kill Menelaus, and Briseis didn't kill Agamemnon lol Ya, the story was a bit off...but it was one of my faves regardless

  • @orkneymist Walking into battle naked wouldn't have made him look like a fierce warrior to be remembered for all time, though. In the movie what he wanted was glory, to be remembered. That's why he wore his own type of armour, his own helmet. Even when the girl has the knife to his neck, he tells her to do it without fear of death.

So maybe he did know of the immortality. They don't show it. In the movie, I think they put him in epic armour to emphasize the fact that he is the greatest warrior.

  • y is the movie called troy, troy was burnt to the ground at the and of the war

  • @redsoxxx1234 That was part of the Aeneid...the Iliad ends with the Death of Hector, but the Aeneid begins with the fall of Troy, and Aeneas starting what became Rome.
