  • wow men are the same everywhere you go

  • That was one of the cutest things ever! I love how shy the girl looked at the end :)

  • 4:45. damn that sounds like those same lines american men be tryin to run lol. that mess is global

  • im sad about them used the burned out batteries for makeup though :( not safe

  • Africa is such a amazing country :

  • @liketammysaids very respectfully..... but Africa is a continent not a country

  • Iam Fulani from Futa djallon nd their Fulani has a dialect but I understood what they were saying..it's really interesting and even though we live in different areas we all have very similar features..just beautiful..

  • I wonder the difference between these people and some of the east African ethnics, like Oramos/Borans, Somalis,(Kushites) etc.

    Beautiful people... indeed.

  • The women interviewed are the most beautiful women I have EVER seen. wow

  • @GoldInSin in different Fulani groups there are different customs. From the Bodaddo (Wodabe plural) to Geloji, Maasina, Fouta, Jalingo people all the different Fulani ethnic groups have slightly different customs. But make no mistake we are one and the same, Fulfulde duna gootum.

  • I'm Peul and I know the wadabee have a dialect to their pular, but I still understood them. The subtitles were really off; for the most part anyways {^_^}

  • @aussie2topaz They speak the same dialect as in Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, Central African republic. Adamawa dialect for the most part, one thing to note is that Gombe and Adamawa while the ahve similar dialects they are still kind of different. For example in Fulfulde/Pular in the Adamawa dialect "see" would be said as laaru, in Gombe and other Fulani speaking areas it would be "ndaaru"

  • @VraiDiouf Isn't that amazing? all that culture (^_^)

  • @aussie2topaz yeah it's cool how there are various fulani cultures, but fulfulde duna gootum.

  • @aussie2topaz could you add some corrections.? we'd appreciate more accuracy :)

  • Woodabe people are a pretty people.

  • boy convos are the same all over lol these people are gorgeous, lol

  • The dudes are ugly to watch , but the girls were kinda pretty

  • @XCutePupa Americans, smh

  • @eprahs1 What ?

  • @wiibot15 Learning to understand your culture is a process, the realization comes with facts. It would have been better if you state your facts without insults. You say you hate ignorance but you display ignorance.

  • You people really make me SICK! You're all probably non-africans, and not fulanis, and you're on these videos about these people, saying shit like "That girl at 0:00 was so beautiful, I want to marry her" shut the FUCK up.

white people make me want to puke out bricks.

  • @wiibot15 lol

  • Woodabe are Fulas.

  • The Woodabe are a sub-clan of the Fulani ethnic group. So don't refer to them as the Woodabe TRIBE.

  • tHESE PEOPLE ARE FROM THE NIGER IN SOUTH WESTERN NIGERIA!

  • Oh what a beautiful culture...unique and great, so natural. I'm Fulani + Swiss, and will travel to see my heritage after graduation.

  • @atlanticsmile u are rly? who's who in ur fam?

  • Please tell them not to use the batteries!!! This is so intriguing and these people are sooooo pretty, it is indeed ridiculous!!! :-)

  • I am Fulani Irish and Indian lol :P and i love all my cultures

  • @constance380 wow your totally messed up :D jk

  • The girl at 4:25 is a real beauty !

  • This video is from a film from Werner Herzog/ the heardsmen of the sun.1989.

  • Shucks!!! their culture is very similar to the Masai of kenya even some of the sounds

  • the girl from 4:25 to 4:42 is a beauty i wish i could marry her

  • i am half wodaabe.the traduction is really bad!!!this does not have anything to do with what they are really saying!!

  • I love the guy between 4:01 - 4:04 ;-) !

  • 7 FEET TALL??? DAMN...i'm 6.25 and I thought I was tall! :D this is like a cattle auction, I hope my country won't end like this.

  • @HoneySwtDrms

haha, well...it's just this one tribe...I doubt that people are this tall in all of Africa! :D

Anyways, I'm Danish...Basketball isn't very popular here (we only have NFL matches in TV) so I'm not acquainted with the myth that black guys are tall. ^_^

  • @Verradonairun

    LOL

It's not a "myth". African Americans (on average) are the tallest of any racial group in America.

I myself have 3 tall brothers. My older brother is 6'9, my little brother is 6'5 and my oldest brother is the shortest at 6'2 lol

And all of their friends are in that height range, so no myth here. African descendants can be really tall!

  • @HoneySwtDrms

    hello :)

In my country the most common Africans are from Somalia and Uganda, these are rarely taller than 5.4 feet...perhaps you descend from this tribe? it would be cool though, because since you are a girl (I presume) you would get to choose a couple of husbonds, imagine how many foot massages you would get... :D haha

Where I come from the percentage of African people is waaay smaller than that of America, maybe that's why we disagree?

p.s. are you also that tall? I think no :)

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneySwtDrms

That is pretty cool, so I guess your brothers will be wearing yellow make up tomorrow if you tell them about this clip. ^_^ You should do that, just to see if it looks good on them. :D But don't forget to tell them about that white color fetish with the eyes and teeth - that would be hilarious! :D

Well...I've never been to the USA so I have no knowledge about African Americans ^_^ Also painting your face, sadly, is only something women do where I come from ;-) haha

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneySwtDrms It doesn't have to be "make up" you could call it "remembering your heritage" haha maybe that'll convince them ^_^

No offence, but I have no intention of visiting your country, MAYBE in the future...but just maybe ;)

I haven't heard of them, but then again I'm not a big fan of Michael Jackson or dancing :D especially not dancing... XD

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneySwtDrms

WOW, oh no she didn't.....something...Anyways, I'm offended!!!!!! - just kidding ^_^

    I think they look weird...it's like...they're stretched out or...something ^_^ haha

I feel like If I say no, you'll hunt me down and beat me :-)

They are pretty good - I'd hate to admit it, and it feels like a part of me just died when I said that, (you know, because they're French and all) But I don't think they're fulani - where is their face paint???? :D

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneySwtDrms

Thanks ;-) And you are funny for laughing at my jokes! :D

mhm...They do look like they could be Fulani - except for the creepy look the Fulani's get when they dance ^_^ haha (I get it too)

Sure...but how can I know that you are telling the truth? just because "you" won't beat me up doesn't mean you won't send your GIANT brothers to beat me up... haha

No, the Danish like the French just fine - in fact a French dude married our queen a long time ago...like last week or something ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneySwtDrms

I know they won't...because they live in the USA and in order to come over here they would have to be able to fit in the plane ^_^ haha

I think that our cilization is similar to theirs...they are like "living art" - but what about hollywood and all that it represents...this is also a form of art, no? :D

  • @Verradonairun

ahahahahaa HAVE YOU BEEN TO AFRICA, I was born in Africa we come in all shapes and sizes and some are really TALL, My brother is really tall and I am just 5ft7inches

  • @kerryfosterusa Lol, stop spreading lies. I bet some people will actually believe you

  • @kerryfosterusa ... Obama's father was from Kenya, that's in EAST Africa... These people are in WEST Africa.

  • @Jallo101 it is falls i thing that you are not peul bororo if not you would know that they are always laughing!it is their culture!being bororo is completely different than being fulani only!it is a tribe!

  • they're innocent in truth, so they have good hearts.

  • yes, also related to the ancient egyptians -- national geographic.

  • @returnoftheramble where is the evidence they are related to ancient Egyptians

  • Yes she is very sincere. Who would betray such a woman?

  • Look how shy they got at 9:18. How cute!

  • They're incredibly intriguing! It shows women and men are consistently the same no matter what end of the world

  • BEAUTYFUL

  • The Ethiopians(BURNT FACE IN GREEK) are said to be the tallest and best looking people in the world-HERODOTUS

  • @evy1215 when can I go to this festival. These men are HAUTE!!!!

  • @evy1215 OMG yes

  • Those women are beautiful

  • Yes, they are. VERY pretty facial features

  • After seeing this video, I'm pretty sure Little Richard is Wodaabe.

  • lmfao.. yes u ae soooo ight haha!!!

  • Is Little Richard tall?

  • His name is Little Richard right? Most of us Fula are tall.

  • men. they are all the same, arent they? sitting around talking about their conquests among each other, about who is cute, who they felt up, and all that. with that said, this is a mighty rich culture.

  • Women do the same thing.

  • u fulanis certainly r beautiful =)

    i have always admired u

u have few similarities with my tribe, tuareg

  • You can not really say Woodabe tribe, they're a part of our Fulani ethnic group.

  • you are right my brother they are the purest fulanis alive today who still maintain nomadic life i can perfectly understand his fulfulde without the english translantion

  • that is ofcourse after listening very attentively otherwise it's bit of a challenge

  • I do not know why my comment never posted sister. But I agree, the important thing is that all of us Fulani understand each other. It is important that we continue to have meetings like KJPF to make sure that our culture stays more together.

  • @VraiDiouf

Why not, Fulanis are a big ethnic group that stretches practically from west coast to east coast.

It's like saying you cannot say Serb since they are part of the Slavic ethnic group.

  • @pidza21 that is because Wodaabe are Fulani and speak the Fulani language (Fulfulde), there are different types of slavic people and they do not speak the same language. Example: Russians, Polish and Serbians are all Slavic but do not speak the same language. We Fulani are West African if you wanted to come up for a similar term to Slavic, then we are Sudanic like Wolof, Yoruba, Hausa, Zarma, Songhai, etc.

  • @VraiDiouf

Thanks for the info brother. This subject fascinates me.

  • @pidza21 no problem my brother

  • @pidza21 Also as Fulani we are not in East Africa. The Farthest we are is in Chad/Sudan/Central African republic. We are mainly located in West Africa.

  • @VraiDiouf

hm...a researcher just told me that there's a small fulani tribe in Ethiopia. Perhaps he is mistaken. I'll find out his sources.

  • @pidza21 I think he is, I have never heard of us in Ethiopia before. I know that we are in Central African Republic, Sudan and Chad, but that is as far as we go I believe.

  • @VraiDiouf There is actually a very small enclave in eritrea (formerly ethiopia). They are not listed as one of the 9 tribes (as they didn't participate in the war for independence), yet they rent land from the eritrean government. They are called Tekruri. This Eritrean girl I used to know had pics on facebook from her trip home; in one photo, she posed with 4 obviously wodaabe men. The clothing etc. was identical to what you see among sudanese fulani

  • @principessa1984 Really, do the Tekruri speak Fula language (Fulfulde) if they do, then they are Fulani. If not then chances are they could be mistaken. Sudanese Fulani are the same Fulani in Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria, Niger and Central African Republic. They all speak the Adamawa/Sokoto Fulfulde dialect.

  • @VraiDiouf They are said to speak Fula...they're supposedly right around the sudanese border

  • @VraiDiouf well they are fulani but don't they call themselves wodaabe instead of "Bororos" which i think is the derogatory term. "tattered herdsmen"

  • @amberjohnston1989 the way you say Herdsman in Fulani language is Gaynaako, Mbororo refers to the general region of Fulani they belong to. They call themselves Wodaabe because they practice different things from the rest of us other Fulani. Mbororo are in Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad. I call them Mbororo based on their Fulani dialect.

  • @VraiDiouf thank you that was very informative, i'm actually doing an essay about them right now. :)
