  • Do the high scores save to the cache?

  • @rotuy Yup

  • Very nice work !!!

If you wish to make customized game lists for Mala, have a look here on my blog

  • Just wodering how you got it to power on by control remote!!!?? Please explain how!

    Keep it cool!

    Cheers!

  • @shock25sr The "switch" is set to on, so I just have it connected to a power strip

  • I'm stumped with a Mala/Mame problem. Do you know how to get MALA to run the games on the SAME screen configurations I've set on MAME for said games?

  • Comment removed

  • This is G-R-E-A-T-! could you share a "how to?"

i want to built my own in Greece where i live and here those parts are very hard to find.

  • Burger Time rulez!! :D

  • them black lines cuz your screen is interlaced only drawing half a frame per second if it was progressive it would not do that.

  • hey how did you get mala to just show the games my mala is showing in categorys and I just want a list of all the games.

    Thanks

  • By default you just move left or right to change display mode

  • Theres a low chance that you can turn ur cam on and it could be on the same sync as ur screen. u can turn the camera on n off and u may get lucky timing.

  • Ha! Cool! Burger Time--my best friend holds the OFFICIAL world record: Bryan Wagner. I spent a night with him in an arcade inside Berkshire Mall in Reading, PA while he broke his own record...

  • Every time i see after burner it always reminds me of Terminator 2 for some reason..

  • Maybe because of the scene where they showed John Connor playing in the arcade?

  • guys got a question/amiga200

i bought the arcadevga from altrimac and im having problems installing the driver any advice?

i get directx 8 erros when i have it installed and when i restart it is just a black screeen im going nuts ive tried f8 with safe mode install nothing i get inf errors too.. any help would be apreciated????

  • how do you set a controller up on MaLa i cant find a way

  • whats the game at the end?

  • Strider Hiryu is the game at the end.

  • help!!i'm goin to be building a cab whitch way should i mount the monitor vert or horz??

  • It depends on how many games you want to play and which ones they are. If you want to play a ton of games including retro consoles (2600, nes, sega, etc) you'll want to do horizontal. If you just want to play a handful of the early games like dig dug, tempest, pac man, centipede, etc, go veritical.

  • my bad I just seen alpha 3 u were playing at the end..

WOW if I can get all of the alpha's plus Xmen vs. Streetfighter, Capcom vs. SNK 2 on one machine I would be in heaven! (Sorry Im new to this, Im just an old school arcade go'er! figuring out what to buy)

  • Let me say, it IS heaven. It is as cool as you think being able to play these classics like this. check out my latest video. the cab in this video was sold for an upgrade to a better cab.

  • I was curious what all streetfighters can that play?

I was going to buy Xmen vs. Streetfighter so I could get all of the JAMMA CPS-2 games can this play all of them?

Also can u play capcom vs. snk 1 and 2? or is it only super old school games?

  • I notice you have the WELCOME screen...if you want to disable it do the following: ONLY FOR XP PRO 32/64 -in RUN type MMC -FILE>ADD/REMOVE SNAP-IN -Click ADD and add the LOCAL COMPUTER POLICY then CLOSE -Under COMPUTER CONFIGURATION -Open up SYSTEM folder -Open LOGON subfolder -Double click on Don't Display WELCOME screen -select ENABLE -Minimize the SYSTEM folder and find USER ADMINISTRATION -Find the same SYSTEM folder here -ENABLE the same option -SAVE
  • great vid afterburner eh what a classic one of my all time favs i have a few cabs i build i will have to upload a video great video

  • sorry m8, i use it on a 32bit tinyxp install...

  • nice cab m8, but could be better: if you use 'instantsheller' you can get rid of the windows boot screens so that it looks like a proper cab is booting up - would make a nice 'final touch'!

  • BTW, do you know of one for XP x64? bootskin doesn't seem to work on the 64bit version. thanks.

  • How many games, on your mame?!

  • That quits out of the game back into the frontend program really quickly, or did you edit the video to work this way?!? my setup takes a few seconds to drop out!?!

  • Nice cab, amiga2000!

    I have 2 questions:

1.What´s CPU do you have in your cab?

2.How did you config your MAME?

  • This particular cab had a Pentium 3 at 700mhz I think. the current cab I have is a core2duo E6300 overclocked to 2.45ghz. Both ran/run MALA for the FE. MALA pretty much takes care of most of your arcade configurations.

  • Sup. Just wondering were you got the Candy Cab...

  • Bought it off of craigslist from some guy who bought it from some guy that had it in a bar. I've since sold it to one of my wife's friend's husband. pass it on!

  • u sold your candy? why? :(

  • To buy the current cab.

  • nicely done! I'm in the middle of fixing mine up. Can anyone tell me how to get the duplicates and none working games off the list without deleting one by one?

  • If you're running MALA, there's an option to do just that.

  • Thanks alot. I saw that before but I dont know why I couldnt get it.. But now I ran into another problem. In mala options I'm able to set the joysticks and start buttons up. but i cant get the buttons to work(like its backwards from how i want them) is it my wiring or is there a program?

  • can I run MALA on a PC windows XP

  • Yes.

  • Thanx for acepting my video response :)

  • what cabinet is that?

i really want one like it

  • It's a Japanese candy cab

  • I hate u :P

  • where di du get the mame intro movies

  • I believe the site is emumovies dott comm.

  • Is there a video anywhere explaining how to configure Mala to use all of it's features ?

  • I'm talking about the video/image berofe "welcome".... when be start your projetc,, do you now...

  • oh that. there are several free and shareware apps. google for "windows xp boot editor"

  • hi, where i can get you video intro?

  • Video intro? What do you mean?

  • Easy just put the actual zip files into the ROM folder which is inside the MAME folder.

NOW some ROMS just don't work, who knows why maybe the machine maybe the ROM maybe the OS or some added hardware or something who knows? I have 3 versions of MAME on my old Mac and still some only work in one version but no other maybe that's it.

  • Just awesome...this is the full experience and absolutely why MAME should be appreciated...now if i could only figure out how to make the hundreds of roms i have work on my pc haha

  • whoa, i like how the scanline shrinks against the vector graphics

  • also, 3) how do you get the game pics on the mame main menu? thanks again...

  • The game pics aren't from Franxis's excellent gp2x emulator. It's a front end. Look at the description of the videos for the name (I forget).

  • nice cabinet, amiga. i thank you for literally hooking me up to the gp2x, i bought it a few month ago and cant put it down...maybe you can help me with 2 items i cant get to work: 1) i have the cradle, do you know a universal dipswitch settings for using a usb port joystick? 2) do you know how to get rid of the bottom screen being cut off on Trodo Emulator - (c64 )?

all would be helpful, thanks. i look forward to more videos from you.

  • Hmmm.... I don't have the cradle so I really can't help there. Also, for the Frodo C64 emulator, the screen isn't cut off, I believe you're changing the overscan settings. Remember the C64 had a horizontal and vertical border that couldn't display graphics but could change colors and have some lines on them.

  • First off, where on earth did you get lucky enough to score a candy cab?!

I've tried to convert myself over to mala from mamewah so many times, but I guess it does about the same so I don't feel like having to relearn how to make cool layouts. I think when I actually get going on a new cab, I'm thinking of actually using 3darcade as a FE, quite the feat in itself, but it just looks so nice -_-

  • Heh, it was just luck I guess in getting the cabinet. The thing is built like a tank and even has little wheels in the back so you can move it like a washing machine. :-)

You're right about mamewah. As a matter of fact, the layouts used in this video and the retro game console video are from a MALA utility that converts mamewah layouts.

I really like the look of Maximus Arcade but of course that isn't free like MALA or MameWah.
