Monroe is and was a pioneer in his work. Compared to others he stands alone in his field, towering above the crowds, leading us to a new kind of freedom we can all experience. Without you, Bob, wherever you may roam, we would still be shackled like TPTB want us to BE. In gratitude,
Just wanted to say this man knows what he is talking about. I had spontaneous experiences that lead me to his books about 7 years ago. At present I have had tons of these experiences (100+) and they are not 'just dreams'. You have to experience it to see for yourself. It has changed my life and how I see the nature of reality.
You can't "die," you alter your consciousness. All "realities" are illusions. Nothing exists BUT consciousness. This man speaks the truth. Your "higher" self sets up belief systems to experience realities to get away from the nothing BUT the consciousness that you are.
it is suprising that when you tyoe it in into google you finding thousands website where people say about they own experience of OBE, lucid dream....everyone can makes money, church makes money, tesco does it as well, Paul Mckenna makes money....if you got something what can help to poeple to improve them in any way than you can sell it, or give it for free, but in today world is better sell it or someone will fine you/goverment/ for non tax activity.....
@roninOm Hey roninom you know I see what your saying but, I think you would sell the info also IF EVERYONE ELSE WAS SELLING IT!!! Why get left out if you know as much as another?? Also if you dont sell it you cant really reach very many people, and you cant devote your life to it because of a job. I know a friend who is BETTER than all these guys and has never sold a single book or cd. Itold him he needs to, he is the best!!!!
@roninOm By the way, if idiot FAKES like Bruce Goldberg are going to con people with books and tapes. Then why shouldnt REAL experts that tell the truth sell books? Robert Monroe as far as I know never claimed to be a time traveler or a ET. I think he just told it like he experianced it, I RESPECT THAT!!!!!

I know life after life is true, and it does give me great comfort knowing this..
Proving what I know is another matter.. Be fantastic for others to know all this too, however it's not to be,and belief will have to do,or at least comfortable non belief of the after life.. What a lovely surprise is in store for everyone anyhow regardless...
btw. The Monroe institute does NOT encourage any belief system. It's central to their approach that each individual explores and finds out for him/herself through direct experience.
@cosmicjazzer I have a friend I call TR who might be the best astral traveler of our modern time. He has been out THOUSANDS of times and has time traveled "IN SPIRIT" and has teleported for a few seconds. He is the best I ever saw in this day. He told me watch out for Bruce Goldberg, but he said Robert Monroe was the best writer. Goldberg claims to be a time traveler, what a fake!!!

In a sense we agree. I believe 'thought' is profoundly creative so is a God of a sort I suppose. I don't even use the word god as god is, to my mind, a debased concept. I must say I aspire to lead my thoughts rather than be a slave to them!
"Give me one fact about belief in YOUR life that works, dont quote other peoples lives"
Sure. I am a successful musician. Had I not have followed my belief many years ago that I could get to this level, that lack of belief would surely have been a self fulfilling prophecy.
As much as it is a bit of a new age cliche, I believe there IS truth in the statement "You create our own reality", though I'm no fan of the simplistic way this concept is normally presented.
"do u believe in a god??" I don't actually believe in the concept of god that is offered by religions. I DO believe that there is an 'evolutionary intelligence' which is inherent in all 'things' and which has a consciousness. I believe that 'seperateness' is just an appearance and that there is MUCH more to reality than meets the eye. I think that with correct training, one may be able to perceive beyond normally acknowledged reality. I have had some experiences along these lines...
The right sort of 'belief' allows 'inspiration' the freedom to yield its fruit. Again, I am very much against the belief that is simply the product of conditioning.
"Belief comes from the thinking process which is the past memories projecting into an imaginary future." Again, I agree that this is often the case but I do not think ALL belief faIls within this category. If everything starts to point to a particular conclusion, then belief becomes the more reasonable position at that point.
Of course, the very word belief indicates that the matter is NOT proven, so any believer should be very willing to change their position if called for.
The development that leads to just about any truly groundbreaking invention has to be sustained by the belief of the inventor that such a thing is possible. If Edison (or was it Swan!) had not believed that such a thing as a light bulb could come about, they would never have mainteined the efforts needed to make the belief become a reality.
I totally agree that belief IS often 'the brainwashing of the masses'. The 'belief' I'm talking about is that which is entirely reasonable: that which has been prompted by repeated experience and truly unbiased observation (even though at that point, enough may not yet be known to promote 'belief' to 'truth'). A lack of belief when belief is actually the more reasonable position is in itself a belief of a sort, and is surely the outcome of a closed mind.
Having said all that, there really is nothing worse than belief based on conditioning, ignorance or wishful thinking!!
I believe(!) that there is a branch of belief that truly arises from an intuitive faculty which glimpses perhaps a deeper truth than reason alone ever could.
I believe we need to use the intuition to inspire and open the door to new possibility, the intellect to then refine, verify and classify.
Surely keeping an open mind until more investigation has been made is the way to go. To claim that truth has no belief could imply that all truth is already known, and that would obviously be a hopelessly arrogant position.
Truth, once verified, indeed requires no belief. Before truth is verified, however, it is nevertheless still true. So belief at that stage may well prompt the investigation that eventually leads to the proof. And belief would obviously be more true than doubt in such a situation.
All the great steps in science have started with a belief in the possibility (at least) of the (as yet) unproven being true.
Well I certainly agree that most psychology misses the point but that does not invalidate 'the Tart episode' or others like it.
I agree also on the necessity of a brain (!) but my feeling is that the brain is more of an interface between one type of consciousness and another than a generator of consciousness.
I'm only too aware of the pseudo science that is banded about but that is no excuse for the staggeringly unscientific stance of many so-called scientists.
I would highly recommend "The Intention Experiment" by Lynn McTaggart. She is an excellent researcher and sites many fascinating thought related experments in this book.
And I have personally witnessed events (corraborated by others) that defy normal physical laws, so know for my myself that science's understanding of the apparently physical world needs to evolve.
All I can say is the truth is out there... and in here.
The psychologist Charles Tart was experimenting with a subject who would have spontaneous out-of-body experiences. A remote five-digit number was placed out of view of the subject. She had an out-of-body experience and successfully read the five-digit number. The subject was then able to return to her body and successfully tell Dr. Tart what the number was.
I would suggest you do some proper research before making statements like this. There is much to indicate the validity of the out of body state and thus infer we are more than a physical body. And have you actually read Monroe's books? They are, in the opinion of many, great contributions to metaphysical literature.
I tried a few OBE methods and didn't have much luck until I cam across a free course given at gnosticweb(dot)com. I would highly recommend it for those that want to experience such things.
Hey Adenisius, it's true that certain methods are better for certain people. the Monroe method didn't work out for me but meditation did. Monroe did, however, stimulate me to look. Good luck with everything, leaving the body is only the first step, there's just so much fun to be had :)

mainstream DOES NOT want us to explore this. Imagine if we all tried meditation and astral travel instead of watching t.v or playing x-box?
I have done the hemi sync course and it began to wake me up, the RI/RV course by Gerald O'Donnel is also one I would recommend
