I hope you don't have to synchronize everything with a web service. It would also be great if you can import old Palm files (not applications, contacts and such) to the phone. Can you beam files?
i think buttons rock. I can basically type on my centro with my eyes closed based on feel alone. There is a reason apple put word correction algorithms on the iphone. Typing on a flat surface based only on sight response is a lot more prone to mistakes. iPhone is also the only major smartphone with no physical qwerty keyboard (bb storm, g1, pre have it)

This would be a better alternative though for those who haven't bought the iphone yet. Their UI performance is pretty at par with each other.

for comparison of the 2 techs, think about a crowded room with people in it. in the TDMA world everyone takes turns talking in short burst so no one interrupts, in CDMA, everyone talks in different languages (Code in CDMA) so everyone can talk but only pick up the language they speak.

The back and the home button the speaker location is an iPhone 3G rip off.
But have some loads of great features.
I just don't like thats it's thick and looks like a phone for business, and it has QWERTY keyboard which I dont like.
But for ordinary users like me, iPhone 3G is just the right phone. It's sexy. Lots of cool apps and it's also an iPod and an easy to learn interface.
It's just my own opinion.
