  • Hello Mr. Nagel!!!

  • Haha never pictured cassius as an old man with white hair and Decius... oh let's not even go there. But it's a good interpretation of the play!

  • this is interesting

  • i luv that dialog"what means that showting"

  • MY english teacher showed us this video in class and it was really good. It helped us understand the play a lot better.

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • This kind of cartoon creeps me out...... Awesome :))

  • Thanks for posting this easy to follow video. After reading the full text I can enjoy and appreciate an abridged animated version.

  • @shakespeareanimated

this is such a great video and it is making this text so much easier to study, i am understanding it far better, thankyou so much,

a quick question, are these quotes all accurate to the original text?, i know that only some of the key scenes are selected but throughout the animation, what they do say, is it all quoted from shakespeare?

    once again great thankyou :)

  • @stjames2000

On Wikipedia it says how Leon Garfield wrote the scripts for this animated series. It also says how he used 'Shakespearian language', so I'm guessing that he may have adapted some lines of the plays, including some original lines from the play.

  • @shakespeareanimated

thanks alot you have been a great help

much appreciated all of it, and thanks for replying :)

  • @stjames2000 It's almost entirely accurate,although fragmented,as you know.

  • @stjames2000 Most of the lines are from the original play. I recognize them. :) A few were traded out, etc., though. lol

  • Heyy thanks for upload!!

can someone PM me if this version is highly accurate with the book? thanks alot! :D

  • @fuledbychocowafles its accurate

  • It's spelled Pompey, not Pompei. That's the only mistake I found. Other than that, it's great.

  • Joss Ackland as the voice of Caesar! Sweet!!!

  • At 9:02 Decius gave the "Roman salute" to Caesar!!!!

  • @maunus no time in that century

  • I can't believe in this day and age some people still believe Ceaser was an Emporer!

  • they left Marallus and Flavius out :\ oh well. thanks for the upload! this will definetly help me on my English test! :D

  • This is pretty good....When was it made?

  • Not the play I mean, just this version in particular.

  • Nice!

  • thank you who ever posted this cause this is gonna help me in my english class

  • @bladearon

That's okay. It's good that they are helping you and many others. Plus, I hope you enjoy watching them too. Have a good day :)

  • I thought this play was going to be long and boring- but CHANGED again. So far - its fantastic! Shakespeare was really reallyl good :)

  • did caeser say that he wished cassius was fat(er)... lol

  • @easyjammin

In the play Caesar behaves like an old man of older times and older ideas. YET he is still Caesar. This makes for some smart and funny moments.

  • cassius seems like the antagonist and Brutus is the protagonist. the conflict is more like man vs self.

  • Calpurnia is so skinny.

Omgomgomgomg they're gonna kill him omo omo omo!!

  • how many parts is this in?

  • The animation may not be brilliant, but it certainly tells the story very well for those that find Shakespeare hard to understand! An excellent story for younger ones to follow.

  • My god, even in cheesy cartoon this play is fantastic!

  • wow Cassius looks really creepy

  • i LOVE the imagery for this one.

thanks SO much for uploading it!!

  • Wow, it's so concise.

  • *sigh

y is portia's part so short? DX

I cant get her character right for the play!

  • lol cassius is fat

  • No, Cinna is the fat one. Cassius is the opposite, he had a "lean and hungry look" according to Caesar.

  • Creepy

  • reading this in english >_>

  • thx so much i have a test on this tomorrown it helped so much!

  • They cut too much out!

  • /.;

  • This play is just TOO AWESOME!!! I don't know why my english teacher thinks this play is boring.

  • If your English teacher thinks this play is boring, he/she should be teaching a different subject.
