The fact that our troops are fighting in Afghanistan to try to clean up Russian and Taliban mass slaughter and abuse, and need more help is every reason to hold even one exploratory meeting. Kerry is the past, and if Barrack Obama wants to be presidential, he needed to take that responsibility as seriously as the soldiers dieing.
John McCain has been given a free ride from the media, the media dismisses almost every bad thing he says as either mispeaking or a joke and ignores flip-flops and big scandals that would derail other candidates.
Ha....there she goes again. Hilary Clinton just LOVES exaggeration and twisting emotion. When she isn't whipping out her "Southern accent" or laughing/crying at odd moments, she's cooking up story's about her daring trip outside of a plane!
As for McCain...Iraq will NEVER be like Japan/South Korea. Those places were only stable because we didn't crush their own army, and they have a good amount of technology. Apples to Oranges....
So, I never really thought that Playbook was a good name for your show. Also, the word Koteki is pretty interesting in and of itself but for some reason I don't think it works as the title. I, of course, have no better suggestions but I thought I'd take this opportunity to criticize you anyway.
So many things happened then, it could have been confused with other events. Either way, We are truly picking silly things to avoid the 3 strikes against Obama camp. I still think they are whining about everything. Not apologizing for anything, and expecting us to swallow and go on., I cannot forget the associations, weather undreground member, Nato no meetings, and a 20 year relationship with a pastor, no matter the church deeds, who ranted Hate delux. Those issues are serious!
the heads of state on the european nations to help us in Iraq? uh, a Senator doesn't really have that kind of power. Just like european reps to NATO have no control over Bush. If your so concerned with subcommittees, then ask why Clinton never did anything about the companies like Blackwater have prosecutorial immunity? She claimed that she didn't know about it, even tho she is on the committee that oversees them and was present at the meeting when the law was considered in HER SUBCOMMITTEE!
the above was the second part of a rant/response to SparklestheClown, and should be looked at in context of his/her comments and the first part of the comment, if it ever shows up, lol
Barrack is head of this committee, and while he has been running for president, he still never held even one exploratory meeting. Our troops are fighting in Afghanistan, and truly could use some cooperation from NATO. That would make this beginning meetings important. Blackwater is done, and something that does not have any court implications on Hillary Clinton.
But the subcommittee does not have the power to determine the actions of NATO,only our relationship towards them. And yes the blackwater thing itself is part of a broader situation that developed in an juridictional area under the over-sight of the Senate armed services committee. After the invasion, the committe approved the Coalition Provisional Authority Order No. 17,whicch granted immunity to military contractors in Iraq. She was there and even commented, but later denied any knowledge of it.
Just thought I add a sidenote here because I noticed while looking this stuff up that, despite the fact that the Senate is traditionally a very seniority-driven organization,Obama, a first term senator, is the head of the sub-committee on European relations, while Clinton, a second term senator, has either not attempted or not managed to be chair of any committee or sub-committee. Just seemed interesting.
Hillary Clinton didn't misspeak. She'd been perpetuating the same story on at least 2 earlier speeches before she was caught.
She was flat out lying, trying to inflate perception of her foreign policy credentials.
