It's not only two instruments at the same time.. each instrument is played really well.. and with the guitar is making a walking bass!! This video was the very first time that I saw a HFC.. now I've got mine ;)
Bellissimo video, Enrico. Ma preferisco: "Oi mamma cum'è biaddru, famminne nu munzieddru, oi gioia chi ricriu.. u cuddrurieddru..." Un saluto da Cosenza!
Beautiful job on one of my fave tunes...Johnny Green's "Outta Nowhere". Question: I note that you play it in G. Are you using a 270 in C or in G? Obviously, when you're using that "hands free" gadget, any shortcut is probably helpful. Choice of keys is one thing you 270 guys have over us 280 players!
Enrico, may this and other work of yours lead to greater appreciation of the chromatic harp as a jazz melody instrument. The harp is much more than Moon River; it's too beautiful to die with Toots Thielmann.
Hi Enrico, Well, that's a darn good invention. But although I play both these instruments, I sure can't play them both at one time. Bravo my friend, Bravo... John
This type of Hands-free chromatic does not require a foot pedal, the idea is much simpler and ingenious than that. The mouthpiece is movable, when I push it down with my lips it uncovers the lower reed plate.
Look up Hands-Free Chromatic Harmonica on the web, the inventor is Vern Smith
There was a song by Jay Leonhard about the difficulty of playing the bass and singing at the same time. This guy doesn't only play guitar doing the walking bass on the last two strings like Joe Pass, but he also plays chromatic harmonica at the same time. Never seen aything like that before.
This is my favorite song by you, simply amazing stuff. Just can't get enough of it...Will be at the next harmonica fling hopefully in July!!

Amazing job.. Congratulations Enrico!
PD: It was not difficult enough that you had to add a walking bass? ;)

Thanks freereder, I always use a harmonica in C regardless of the key I play in, whether it's a " Hands-Free" or not.

Thanks for your comment Alnot01, you can be sure that jazz harmonica playing will not die with Toots who, incidentally, was my teacher
( literally!)

This is a skilled performer to be able to play two instruments at the same time and keep both in sync.

I was thinking along thise lines... You must be using a Chromatic Harmonica so, how do you operate the slide? Have you a 'foot-lever' set-up?
