@ssthao: NO ALL RESTAURANTS ARE DIRTY FILTHY DISGUSTING PLACES.
I RECOMMEND YOU GO AND LOCK YOURSELF IN A LABORATORY AND EAT ONLY THINGS THAT YOU'VE THOROUGHLY SCRUBBED WITH COMET.
In the mean time the rest of us dirty digusting HUMAN BEINGS will continue to contaminate ourselves with our disgusting filthy ways as HUMAN BEINGS HAVE FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS.
In the mean time I think it is imperative YOU stay in a SUPER CLEAN laboratory.
@lukebccb That's right! That's why I don't go eat out because that's exactly how I feel about those places. It's better to cook for yourself. Besides, the noodle I cook at home is so much better.
Is he using something like a potatoe peeler on a loaf of stiff dough? I find this most interesting.
I feel one of the easiest way to get to know a people is to eat their food. The geography, economics and history of a culture is often reflected in what they eat and how it is made.
I agree 100% with you. I love to travel, eat and learn the various cultures. This was a great experience. I know he was there to entertain the tourists but still fun...
Think he was using a small knife.. even more impressive.
Cool AND delicious! I bet Tony has seen his share of noodles made this way.Very good. This was after a great day seeing the Terra Cotta Warriors... Incredible.
Look here buddy. I enjoyed my trip to China. I saw many sights that many Westerners will never see. I admire the history of China. The problem I have is with Rabid Nationalism of any kind and this seems to be the flavor of the Chinese people right now. Not ALL people. There were many nice people there but the attitude some like yourself have towards the West is simply irritating.I have found LOTS of angry, arrogant, think they are smart because they have slanted eyes, Asian people recently.
Thanks Bathooon, We were in Xian' a month ago to see the Terra Cotta Army and many other things in China and Tibet. (talk about cool! :) This was the place we had lunch after we saw the Terra Cotta Army and these little guys were making the best noodles. Yum!
wouldn't the first strand be overcooked by the time you slice the last strand in? then obviously this dish will suck donkey's left sour testicle.

@seanincali1
Indeed. That's how the term Sweet and "Sour" soup was invented. Although.. it was more from Yak ballz than Donkey.

Lol, if the noodle doesnt make it into the pot, its not worthy of being a noodle.
