When La V is played by the Boyz it is the best live rock music performance ever recorded.
Rush is a dish best served live.
Neil, if you ever come back to your home town check out Cats Caboose on Saturday nights for Jazz music. I'm sure that Kevin will let you sit in for a song or two on his kit.
these three down to earth 60-year-old dudes created a sound that has never been, is not currently, and never will be matched in the future.... long live the holy triumvirate !!!!
@xxxx15us You damned fool, you are not a real rocker though pretend to be...you can't even understand whether it was a typing error or not... I met him 20 years ago when you were playing with your toys...
@aydo68 Dude, I know it was obviously a mistake. I knew that at the time but thought it looked funny and thought you would get a kick out of it when you realized what you wrote and would share in a laugh. But instead you come off like the most insecure condescending defensive jerk imaginable. Congratulations.
@aydo68 agreed. you dont really see air drummers at say bon jovi, or aerosmith, or gnr concerts. While they have songs i like, they dont make me sit back and go "WOW."
@tutoch agreed, the difficulty of all three instruments is through the roof. have you heard the "exit... stage left" version? thats my fav just because the solo has a little extra "kick" in it.
i remeber hearing this live on this tour for the first time and i was so excited words cant describe it. I told my brother holy shit it's la villa strangiato
I'm in my fifties and have never really been a big Rush fan. Then my wife's friend had a couple extra tickets and invited us last minute to this show in Cleveland. So I said "ah what the hell, OK let's go". I was completely blown away! Three guys making this kind of rock music for over 30 years? Why was I hiding under a rock with this group? Incredible music; incredible musicians.
@xxxx15us Indeed. Good news is that my 2 year old is already a fan. I only needed to once show him the Neil Peart drum solo from an old YYZ YouTube video and now each day for the last 3 weeks he asks "Daddy - see Neil play drums?".
I haven't been to a concert in years, so bear with me. The last time I saw these guys was during the Counterparts tour and Primus opened for them. Primus tripped me out. One of the best shows I have ever been to. I still remember feeling the heat from the jets of flame during the show.
My three favorite parts of this: 1) the tone the guitar makes at 2:38-2:39, 2) the smirk on Alex Lifeson’s face at 5:26, 3) everything in between, before, and after.
Ever since I saw Rush in Sheffield, I've had the polka start stuck in my head. I can't stop bobbing around singing along to it, amazing band, amazing concert!
I live right across the Ohio River from Louisville and bought my Rush tickets within the hour they went on sale. I nearly teared up several times through the concert...I'm a drummer myself and to see my favorite band and hero was just amazing. They are so good live its unreal.

My favorite Rush live performance. It's an amazing conversation between super talented guitarist, drummer and bassist.

@rjrosneck glad you made it! my only question is, how in the world did your wife's friend have a "couple extra tickets"?

If only Alex fit in one of his famous rants during this song. It would have been the highlight of the show...and the DVD.
