Maybe if Guild socialism or Christian Socialism had more exposure, then maybe the author of this video would realizes that the left does not have a monopoly on socialist concepts.
IG Farben was allowed to remain private because it built chemicals for the Nazis and collaborated closely just to not get Nationalized similar with many other companies. They were still supervised under the State. It's not like Nazi Germany was Capitalist and had wealthy, greedy, business tycoons smoking cigars who controlled the economy. The State controlled the economy. Anyway how did Trade Unions do under Joesph Stalin and Mao? How are they doing under Fidel Castro and Kim- Jong-il?
The means of production were controlled by the Reich minister of Economics. Only Companies and corporations that did not further the cause and goals of the State were nationalized. Companies such as Krupp, BMW, Daimler - Benz who built armaments for the Third Reich were allowed to remain a private company, because they were assisting the Third Reich.
if Nazism was socialism, then why'd Hitler fear communism? National Socialism only had socialism in its name to appeal to the common working class man. Nazism forbade unions, collective bargaining and the right to strike--not very socialistic either. You want to quit under Nazism? Tough, Nazi Germany had strict unemployment laws and if you refused to work you would be imprisoned.
True, Under Hitlers regime the trade unions before he came to power were abolished. However, the Third Reich formed their own Trade union : The German Labor Front. This increased workers pay but "Employers could demand more of their workers, while at the same time workers were given increased security of work and increasingly enrolled into social security programmes for workers" Although the workers were not allowed to strike because the State needed them for the war.
Hitler used the word Socialist in the party name in order to gain the support of the working class. this was both propaganda and a way to lessen the social influence of the german communist party, which after hitlers rise to power all members of the german communist party were sent to concentration camps.
National Socialism is a far right movement. Leftist politics calls for equal rights, public ownership, against racism, pro-human-rights, acceptance of multi-culturalism and ethnicity and anti-colonialism. NONE of these we saw in ANY National Socialist/Fascist country.
@JasonDamisch no its not, just because I say I'm the second coming of Jesus doesn't make me so - some of the first people Hitler and the Nazi went after were the communists and socialists.

@GefrBeck Why? A big reason for the Germans those time to vote for the NSDAP was to hold back Communism (You know about the famous line: Workers of all countries: unite) People were really scared for communism
American National Socialism is Socialism for America, not the world. It's about Americans taking care of Americans and defending our people against greedy globalist, capitalist traitors who hire illegals and ship jobs overseas. Deatht to globalism!
Good video. As Wm. L. Shirer put it in his book, THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH, p. 205: "For him (Hitler) the Nazi socialist slogans had been merely propoganda, means of winning over the masses on his way to power. Now that he had the power, he was uninterested in them." National Socialism was not socialism, but a military-industrial-government triangle.
Capitalist nor Socialist. As even in the United States there is public education which is a socialistic policy. Aswell as social welfare. Yet some countries can be leaning either side.
The labour council was not favouring the capitalits, and that is a common misconception taught in the American propaganda history books. As the council actually had equal representation with checks and balances and so on.

Yes, private individuals still controlled their property, and I never said that workers controlled the factories in Germany. Alot of workers that voted NSDAP actually were against the workers controling the factories as each knew their place and since NS was a cooperative balance and peace between the two factions.
Also, "Socialism" does not mean one must have a complete Marixst-Communist society as once can always implement "Socialistic" policies. If you want to be like that then no state is..
affordable vacations for workers. In addition the 1. of may was celebrated, humanitarian work conditions were installed in factories, and both factory owners and factory workers ate in the same area together.
The Volkswagen was created in order to be the car of the people, and affordable housing units were also created.
National Socialism is not "Socialism" in having all people be the same, but rather the Unity of all German people, regardless of class.
National Socialism is a leftist movement, and it will always be so.
First off, the corporations were under government supervision and control in order to prevent them from mistreating the worker. Private property was still allowed, as well as the existence of corporations, but as said they were under strict government supervision and followed government orders when needed.
Second, Hitler lowered the work day, increased the annual vacation to 21 days and provided.....
@GefrBeck National Socialism is no way a leftist movement. In Nazi Germany, private capitalist individuals owned the means of production, and they in turn were frequently controlled by the Nazi party and state. True socialism does not advocate such economic dictatorship -- it can only be democratic. Hitler's other political beliefs place him almost always on the far right.
@RATMagainstbush8 There are over 300 definitions of socialism, but the most common is Government or workers' control or ownership of the means of production.
Nazi Germany may have had private ownership, but it was still government control of the means of production, hence it was a form of socialism.
What put him on the far right? His support from the Palestinians? His gun control? Maybe it was the hunting ban and environmental protection laws! Or was it the abolition of market based lending?
@GefrBeck The idea that workers controlled the means of production in Nazi Germany is a bitter joke. It was actually a combination of aristocracy and capitalism. Technically, private businessmen owned and controlled the means of production. The Nazi "Charter of Labor" gave employers complete power over their workers.
@GefrBeck The employer, however, was subject to the frequent orders of the ruling Nazi elite. After the Nazis took power in 1933, they quickly established a highly controlled war economy under the direction of Dr. Hjalmar Schacht. Like all war economies, it boomed, making Germany the second nation to recover fully from the Great Depression, in 1936. Prior to the Nazi seizure of power in 1933, worker protests had spread all across Germany in response to the Great Depression.
@GefrBeck Once in power, Hitler showed his true colors by promptly breaking all his promises to workers. The Nazis abolished trade unions, collective bargaining and the right to strike. An organization called the "Labor Front" replaced the old trade unions, but it was an instrument of the Nazi party and did not represent workers.
@RATMagainstbush8 Once in power, Lenin showed his true colours by promptly breaking all promises to workers. The Bolsheviks dissolved trade unions, strikes were outlawed, work was compulsory, and collective bargaining was outlawed.
Hitler took control of the means of production, and so did Lenin, only Lenin allowed small private enterprise to thrive and make profits, so long as they paid their taxes.
I guess any more "Right Wing" and Hitler would have been a Communist!
@GefrBeck Your smart and its if you do it right but dont kill black poeple only jews or assholes and rich that stolen it form us becuZ they make us slaves then and now its like we not slaves anymore but everyone really is!
@GefrBeck Oh yeah national socialism certainly had alot to do with actual socialism didnt it? Really left wing too i must say. They certainly looked after the jews, communists, gypsys and anyone else that was not of pure arayan blood (whatever the fuck that rubbish means) now didnt they? Nazis was fascism and thus was right wing. Marxism tears down institututions and the old guard while fascism wants to keep the power structure as it as always been and make it absolute power.
@Iisdabest889 Well i don't consider the USSR after the years of Lenin to have been a socialist or communist country much less a Marxist one. Stalin ran the USSR in a fascist like style of government as he had complete absolute rule. In the governments After stalin all you really had was nothing but bureaucrats who just proclaimed to be communist. The USSR was communist in name only in my opinion. That traitor called stalin who was the one that had the old guard killed was very right wing.
But the NSDAP replaced the power structure? They were Revolutionary Nationalists, although that is debatable to a certain extent. They changed the military renaming it the Wehrmacht from the Reichswehr. They completely altered the Wiemar Republic ( The Government before the Third Reich)
The Nazis only reserved the Socialist aspect for ethnic Germans ( "Aryans") ,the people who were supposed to be in Germany, the only German citizens in the States eyes. The " Deutsche Volk"
@sanik00 Nazism like all fascism is not revolutionary it is reactionary. It was simply a reaction to Marxism and a product of it's time nothing more nothing less.
National Socialism is it's own ideology. If it was reactionary, it would have advocated a monarchy as it's head of state, like the 2nd Reich, and a restoration to the old government which it didn't, it changed it.
@smpblogger He probably knows more about it than you. The video was well thought out. Yeah, he stuttered, but he had a lot to say in 3 and a half minutes, and so he talked fast.
Yes, national socialism is not marxism in any way.
The nazi party claimed some egalitarian ideologies before power, but once in they were in power, they went 100% national socialist.
The only political movement even close to national socialism in the USA is called neo-conservatism. This differs from traditional conservative values, in that traditional conservatives are anti-democracy and oppose constitutional republic via racial and religious superiority WITHOUT any form of welfare state.
national socialism was born from socialism. and eventhough hitler opposed it, it was an opposition of tactics more than ideology. hitler believed that both socialist and liberalist economical systems were controlled by the jews ex: USA, and USSR. national socialism was born with exterme patriotism , its a combinations. so socialism exsists in the DNA of national socialism
yes its different, and it was a dictatorship which i believe works. it was a corporatist system, which enhanced the citizens living and promoted it in a very short period of time especially after wwl
germany would have been great without the war (wwll) but i dont disapprove i think it was important and i believe that hitler has a hidden dimension that people r not able to see and of course with the decieving media u can expect anything.
to me hitler is not a crazy insane person, he is a genius
i live in the states and i have been very interestied in history and politics but i cant find anyone who cares or wants to talk about this, everyone is busy with his stupid little life thats getting worse
i did not really get what u meant but seriously the media and other idiots, they r a disease and the only way to get rid of it is to burn them just like hwat hitler did
So what your saying if there is a book written on it that it must be true? What your saying is like telling me to go read a holocaust denier book and no matter what play it off as if it is fact.
You know pretty much the same thing Pol Pot did murder his own people, take advantage of the working class, gulags, labor camps, cult of personality, assassinated his party members....
? The archives clearly show the murders stalin commited during hte Great Purge. read Communism: A History (Modern Library Chronicles) by Richard Pipes, pg 67. "during 1937 and 1938, the NKVD detained 1,548,367 victims, of whom 681,692 were shot - an average of 1,000 executions a day (in comparison, from 1825 to 1910 the Tsarists executed 3.932 persons for political crimes"
defending stalin? good luck with that. let me guess, the Great Leap Forward in China was a good thing?
Stalin just destroyed any decent or democratization. No country has a right to invade another country just because of their own interests no matter what the ideology behind it is. Its flat and simple its imperialism. So that was years ago. Payback or no payback its imperialism.
The workers had no power under Stalin. The people that had the power were Stalin and the head of the government. This is a undisputed fact. Stalin basically destroyed the name of communism. Lenin established the workers councils. Stalin basically destroyed them and used the workers as slaves during his 5 year plan. Of course everything is a lie if it doesnt make your idea sound good. That is like calling the holocaust a lie. There were no 7 million "fascist agitators".
How was it crucial? Making a pact with a fascist and agreeing to invade a sovereign country of Poland? And shit the factories were already up and running before the war even started against Nazi Germany. I cant even call Stalin a Marxist! He took all power away from the working class! Managers had all the power! He used the working class as slaves! Murdered his own people!
Stalin also murdered millions of his own people because they were "capitalist dogs" Stalin also murdered Jews just because they were Jewish. Stalin also took all power from the workers and the people. Stalin also was a psycho. Stalin also signed a pact with Hitler. Stalin also was an imperialist. Stalin also took all power away from the people.
I said throughout most of its time it was a stalinist dictatorship. It did democratize more in its later years after it broke from its Stalinist ties.
Military corporations were the main axis of III Reich's rise... PRIVATE corporations which built the weaponry disguised in civilian programs(Fair exchange money for power/power for money)... Like "Henkel" built fast single seat planes and adverting them as some kind of coming "trend" for the rich people... And strange "passenger" planes which had even stranger "non smoker" departments which many strange brackets; As it actually was a bomb bay... Looks much like capitalism...
Maybe if Guild socialism or Christian Socialism had more exposure, then maybe the author of this video would realizes that the left does not have a monopoly on socialist concepts.

Umm what about the tea party, major conservatives, and fox news. ... They seem to care about this. Calling him and continue to call him a socialist.

@Bl4ckR0ck
So what your saying if there is a book written on it that it must be true? What your saying is like telling me to go read a holocaust denier book and no matter what play it off as if it is fact.

Its really not "bs" at all. History shows that its not "bs"

You know pretty much the same thing Pol Pot did murder his own people, take advantage of the working class, gulags, labor camps, cult of personality, assassinated his party members....
RATMagainstbush8 2 years ago
hey so did Stalin! But you seem to support him....

thanks

@Bl4ckR0ck can you point me to some pro-stalin books/websites to check out your point of view more?

BillKiernan 2 years ago
Funny thing is the CIA supported Pol Pot and are US government supported his rise to power...

yeah the old "enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing that always bites us in the ass in the end.

RATMagainstbush8 2 years ago
The workers had no power under Stalin. The people that had the power were Stalin and the head of the government. This is a undisputed fact. Stalin basically destroyed the name of communism. Lenin established the workers councils. Stalin basically destroyed them and used the workers as slaves during his 5 year plan. Of course everything is a lie if it doesnt make your idea sound good. That is like calling the holocaust a lie. There were no 7 million "fascist agitators".
RATMagainstbush8 2 years ago
@Bl4ckR0ck You might note that Stalin was married to a Jewish woman and many of the leaders of the Bolshevik Party were Jewish.

RATMagainstbush8 2 years ago
@Bl4ckR0ck

@Bl4ckR0ck

It's only the name
