@crazyvoicekid99 The people at the very top need to wake up. I would have loved to join the USCG, but they'd rather do affirmative action- take people who have a very good chance of being unqualified, over someone like me...who IS qualified, but takes ocd medicine. They think I'll go psycho or something. That's never once happened. No crimes, either. So what about those who smoke and might have a nic-fit? They won't get cranky and go nuts?

yeah they are.. from what i know its volunteer only, and at any given time we have 150 to 300 there.. but im no expert.

They sweep mines in the Gulf and also transport troops and do Aids to Navigation IE make sure all the boats in the area travel safetly and do not hit any hidden sand bars ETC.
