hi stuber9077, there was never a stand at Sear, Riches yes. The public have never been allowed anywhere near Sear. I'm filming those FFs from the bombhole grandstand. The old bridge in my film was positioned after the esses. The new bridge ( since 97 ) is now at the end of that long straight you see in the background, the Revett straight.
I first went to Snetterton in 1974. I got Tiff Needell and Tom Walkinshaws autographs when they were in FF I think. Also got Gerry Marshalls and Lela Lombardi - the only woman to score a point in F1 (sadly She died in 1991ish at 40 something). I am having real trouble recognise any of the track in this clip and I track there all the time. I remember there being a stand at Riches and Sear where the FF's used to crash into the wall beneath you! Where was that bridge? After Bomb Hole?
It is indeed Tiff Needell in the Camel sponsored 'Eddie Jordan Racing' car. He was having a seat fitting in Paul Warwick's car for a magazine track test to be carried out the following week. The guy to the left of Tiff kneeling down is the late Bosco Quinn, Eddie Jordan's right hand man. Bosco was killed in a road accident near Silverstone in early 1991. Having overseen a lot of the transition of EJR to Jordan Grand Prix, he sadly never saw the first Jordan F1 car race.
I believe it was Paul Warwick, Derek's younger brother, who raced F3 from 1988 until 1990 and then contested F3000 winning the championship in 1991 but was sadly killed at Oulton Park.
