theres no secret for guitar hero try playing without your fingertips and use your fingers body (its hard to explain look at his hands or somone like danny when there soloing) like he does. But really all it is, is to practise. Also some people just aren't suited to this type of game (like me) so i can play expert and five star some pretty cool songs like green grass and high tides on rb1
