Why did you put wrap around grips on a National Match 1911 instead of checkering the the front? Everything on the gun meets CMP rules for use at the National Matches, except the wrap around grips. If I take the grips off and replace them with the standard Colt 1911 grip panels, then I can't grip the pistol well because the front is smooth. For a $1000 pistol, it should have a checkered front strap!
