  • What's funnier is that he's a English Betta!

  • When they get older does the tail gets big and spread out? Or no?

  • i always thought if stewie was a fish he would be a betta

  • poor fish... needs a bigger heated tank..

  • how did u get him 2 follow ur finger?

  • lol

  • lex isnt happy get him 2.5 to a 5 gallon and watch your slug fish turn tweaker over night

  • my betta lovessss bloodworms. he attacks them. and he doesnt like flakes either. only thing with the worms is if you dont have a filter, the little exo skeletons he spits out make the water nasty

  • Get him a bigger tank WITH filtration ya dumb bastard.

  • @SocalDNM stop bitching

  • @TheBeyBladeNation Fuck you bastard, I will shove you in a closet and beat the fuck out of you and ram my cock in your ASS!!!!!!

  • @SocalDNM From this lovely message, my guess is you're the one in the closet.

  • @sqwert80 I am in the closet with my cock hard waiting to rape your family motherfucker!!

  • @sqwert80 yeh i can see from that comment that in his subcounsious he is remembering what his father did to him while he was screaming and crying

  • STEWIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *shrugs* he's overfed anw.

  • nice fish

  • LoL

  • Isnt that Stewy from family guy?

  • @superbettaman no shit

  • I made a vid on my betta too come check it out =)

  • Nice get a heater

  • they dont really need one.. my house is pretty warm year round and i live in canada.. the thermometer is always where it should be w/o a heater. Plus this video was posted 4 years ago..

  • "HEY FINISH THE JOB STUPID!" lol funny

  • My fish came with the same tank but I don't use it since I already had a ten gallon tank set up. He uses all the space.

  • I have that tank. My betta fishy likes it. As long as he has gravel, warm water, and food. I sometimes add the fake plant. Since I don't have a heater, I just replace some of his water and make it a tad warmer.

  • LOL, too funny. Mine doesn't like flake food either. He really likes the pellets though and they don't make the tank dirty like the flakes do.

  • Where is his living space?

  • My betta is really spoiled. He won't eat any food unless it has been soaked in tank water first.

  • HAHA Wasn't expecting that.. I LOVE STEWIE! there was thius stewie doll in one of those crane machines at a grocery store one time and i spent like 5.00 trying to get him.. hahaha

  • ROTFL!! I swear to God youtube is better than TV.

  • That as adorable. Last line is too perfect for a small tank like that too :P

  • thats a small tank get a 50 gallon at petco it $2oo

  • All they really need is for u to take care of them and at least a 5 gallon tank i use 1 gallon and no filter and take great care of the fish and they last a very long time

  • she doesn't need a bigger tank bettas grow up in small streams in thailand and like small space i dont think u should tell her to do research your the one who should be. not to be rude

  • actually the live in rice paddies that can range for acres. And really, no fish likes small spaces. Of course, it's always the larger the better. Take it from an experienced aquarist

  • well you can waste your money unlike me my betta love there tanks

  • I wasn't trying to say that they can't be happy in smaller tanks. I mean a 1 gallon is much better than the cup they came in. All I was saying is that they don't actually prefer smaller spaces over larger ones.

  • yea mines in a 2 gallon i know what you mean when i got my first one he couldnt even move in hes "fish bowl"

  • i have the same tank but diffrent rocks

  • i have those rare talking to yours sounds like stewie from famaly guy

  • Also...You can get a good setup at walmart for a 5 gallon for $30 and it will have everything you need but the heater...you could look on craigslist.

  • Bettas do like filters because they dont like swimming in their own poo and uneaten food. Also they like larger spaces to swim in...how would you like to swim in your poo and uneaten food in a small space..I doubt you would like it. Do the research...

  • I did and I Clean my 1 gallon fish tank every 2 days and put de chlorine in it warm water and viola they last a good while

  • give him food thats alive! WORMS

  • That tank is too small. There's not enough room for him to move. I would try getting a bigger tank for him.

  • You need a bigger tank. At least 2.5 gallons. That tank right there is only half a gallon.

  • i have the same tank.. its 1.17 gallons (or the camera is too close making it look like the same size). My fish is fine in it.. her fish is just big.

  • that is so cute. u gave him stewies voice.

  • Haha you need to get laid cuz ur fish knows.

  • wow, picky fish

    lol!

  • hahaha funny but get a bigger tank

  • this is retarded!

  • funny!!!

  • bettacare101.(tk)

    remove parentheses

  • whel sorry. if you think you being mean is cool its not so just stop i wasnt yelling at you. i was saying i would prefer at least a 3 gal. tank. AND NO i am not insulting you and im not the smartest in the world . funny though

  • small... fake.....

  • Wow thanks CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! Ever heard of freaking family guy soundboards?

  • they dont talk

  • protege

  • One inch per gallon, where is the filter and heater?

  • Bettas dont like filters because they like still water

    filters make currents

bettas hate that and bettas are from a place were the water doesent go below 21C so if you have a home at about 21-30

    thats fine

if you hsve a cold home buy a heater

  • I've seen this video a lot and it still gets me laughing! great job!

  • lul

  • bettacare101.googlepages. com

  • try getting him blood worms if he wont eat. my second betta did the same thing so i go him blood worms and he'll eat them.

  • blood worms or tubifex worms? if u bought them live they were tubifex

  • blood worms

  • good call! blood worms are natural betta food. HOWEVER they're hard to find live unless it's summer time and you collect'em urself. Find a good location in your backyard where you have the most mosquito action and leave a tub of water.

Any type of mosquito larvae will do. Tubifex worms however can be bought as "blood worms" LIVE and look similar. Betta love these but they crawl into your gravel! I give mine 1 or 2 worms per feeding. He eats one and follows the other down. mmmm

  • what i got for my betta are freeze dried blood worms but thats a good idea leaveing a tube of water out in order to get live ones. i might do that.

  • ya if u live in a place like i do (mountains Santa Barbara, Ca) you'll wind up with more than just 1 type of larvae.

Last year I had at LEAST 3 kinds. There was this kind that was rolled up in a ball and would spin around. it would stop spinning once it stopped moving and start again when it moved. Like Sonic The Hedgehog. Also the common mosquito larvae (sperm thingies) and red mosquito larvae (brown to red) that squirm around in the bottom (those are harder to filter out).

  • funny~~ love it!

  • lol, that was hilarious. my betta would hate me if I gave him flake. he's already mad about the pellets, and he won't even eat them :(

  • i just got a second betta and he wont eat the pellets i have or the flakes i saw him nip at at one but idk if he actually ate it. they said they fed him pellets at the store.

  • hmm i used to have like 9 bettas. At one time I remember I had like 4 and all of them ate green peas!

I always start them off with live tubifex worms, then frozen hikari foods like tubifex, blood worms, and spirulina brine shrimp. then i went down to hikari micro pellets and at that time they were eating ANYTHING I GAVE THEM! Then I went on to green peas! You have to feed them in the same manner you always do. Use the same tool or use your hands so they associate it with feeding time!

  • Lol that was funny! Very good! 5 stars! A bigger tank with a heater and filter would be ideal, but hey whatever.........

  • Oh and by the way i love how you did the dubbing, very good!

  • soundboard

  • um is that stewie from family guy???

  • yes

  • dum bich......

  • Who?

  • it's stewy recordings but funny all the same

  • that looks like about a 1.5 gallon tank. you probably didn't know because the pet store guy probably told you they like small tanks but right now go buy that thing at least a 3 gallon tank, 5 would be better

  • I've seen those 'tanks'

They're not even close to a gallon.

    I agree, at least a 2.5g

  • Where can you buy these kinds of talking ones? I didn't even know these existed! Do petsmart or petco sell talking ones? Mine doesn't talk :/ ;)

  • oops meant to say Betta not yetta

  • That Betta is awesome he reminds me of my Betta Poseidon he has the same colors I have a video of my other Yetta captain if you want to see him I will be uploading a video of Poseidon here soon though!

  • thats funny.i wish my betta could talk.you check mine out

  • stewie from family guy!! ( i think lol ) this video is VERY cute.

  • ive got that same bowl for my betta dribble!!!!!!!!!

  • I'v got 3 bettas and I have one thats the same color, his name is Scarlet. ^_^

  • it the voice of stewie from family guy!!!!

  • Aww! Cute video!

  • kewl betta, funny too lol..

  • that was cute. that's ALOT how some fish probably think!

  • lol, i know thats how my gecko thinks.

its amazing how much personality bettas have. i expected mine to just swim and thats it, but if you sit down and watch them they all act different

  • R.I.P LEX

  • should i get a beta to live with my koi fish im afraid they might fight because i got 2 fish when i first got the koi and the other killed the other so should I?

  • bettas need a filter and a heater (THEY ARE TROPICAL FISH)! Also I have a betta to but mine is white and red and blue.

  • they're fine if your HOUSE is warm. my room is FREEZEING so i HAD to get MINE a heater. the filter is optional, but preferable in tanks with multiple fish if you can't clean it out every day. live plants RULE! they eat nitrogern, man!

  • no one keeps their house at 79 degreas

  • they dont like fish flakes duh

  • It's funny because it gives the fish personality.

  • funny... not

  • I LOVE his voice!! I was laughing so hard!

  • i just bought the same Beta fish Kit. hopefully my new fishy will have a good life. your too. RIP little guy

  • lol i have the same tank lolz

  • This fish died guys, probably for all the reasons listed below : (

  • How sad! I'm so sorry... R.I.P. baby betta. If you get another one, I'm sure you will do better ;) good look!

  • Your fish talks a lot likes the talking baby in family guy.

  • Please, PLEASE get a larger home for your betta...there's a distinct difference between surviving and thriving. A 2.5 gallon tank is less expensive than the deathtraps out there, and your betta will be much healthier and happier, and live much longer. Don't listen to the 'mud puddles' or 'small spaces' rumors out there, for the sake of your fish!

On another note, adorable fish :)

  • Why not use Peter's internal monologue?

"As Lois fed me, I realised I didn't love her anymore."

  • change water for it n put some water treatment drop in the water, also u need a proper tank with filter n heater for it if possible. it will live much happier n longer.

  • Betta's dont need all that stuff, and its not reccomended to put a filter in it, a heater is only needed for big tanks ;] (got a betta myself, and it looks exactly like him)

  • lol that was funny! good job on the vid! btw, pellets are better for your betta than flakes, but i guess that doesn't matter since he looks healthy anyways ^^

  • nice looking

  • HAHA! nice. your betta fish is real pretty! btw, FAMILYGUY ROCKS except when its peverted..

  • are you the maker of southpark?

  • me too!!

  • i got the same betta kit!haha

  • lol

  • This would have been way better if you'd used Jeffrey from Fresh Prince to overdub it. Family Guy sucks. But cute concept.

  • ohh poor stewie turned to a fish

  • next time show a tit or two and your video might be somewhat interesting. until then tah-tah...

  • Before you watch, just remember: I can't unmake this, and you can't unwatch it. Finicky Lex refuses to eat, and expounds on the quality of flake food through his internal monologue

    wtf?

  • Lex... :(

  • your fishie kinda looks like my betta!!! but mines kinda lighter on the body...this is funny btw! ^_^

  • lovely betta.... i just got a new betta.... mine is more blue though. I love yours very nice cage setup he would make all the female bettas go crazy. LOL

  • omg people got problems these days of course the fish can't fucking talk! are you a dumbass? everyone knows that and they don't need to hear it. she did this for entertainment. and minotauronog chill and stoopudjurcee1 i've seen fish that can play soccer look it up on yahoo. so yes even they though gold fish have 5 second memories they are kinda smart. and pacificlight cool funny video :D

  • no look it up on google not yahoo and the way fish play soccer is umm...different. Some people were saying that fish were as smart/smarter than cats or dogs.

  • lol this is frekaing funny as! good work... i liek these fish

  • you must of bin really bored, come on you put stewies voice for the fish

  • this is so stupid a baby can come up with better crap than this crap fuck this shit

  • stfu she was probrably bored

  • that voice is like stewie

  • STEWIE!

  • Don't worry I know this is for fun, and those that insulted have nothing better to do, such a lovley betta fish by the way ^_^

  • that stewie LOL

  • HAHAHA!

  • ok this is for fun so all of you stop complaining.

    and i loved it :)

oh yeah btw STEWIE FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

  • ok that was the worst fish video ever! That fish can not talk i bet you just recorded sayings from Stevy in the family guy! And just shut your big trap up Stoopudjurceel no one wants to hear your really stupid coments, so stop acting like your miserable. The video was not that bad it was kinda funny even though it was a fake.

  • yo r these cold water fish how much are they

  • they're warm water(I'm not sure but I think between 75 degrees and 85) and the males are 3.99 and the females are 2.99, but the prices may vary depending on where you live. almost all pet stores sell them, and most sell them in little cups, although I've seen them being sold in bowls and small tanks.(individually).

  • what did u feed ur betta?

  • Flake food and pellets.

PS: Thanks for the positive feedback, fun-loving peoples!

  • haha nice

  • Lol, hillarious!

  • How can people have animals like this !

  • That looks exactly like my betta. I have that tank too, but mine is purple. I know we both might need a bigger thing but betta fish dont get bored in them because just imagine what their in at the pet store, too all that say get something bigger. They might get alittle bored but thats enough room to roam and have a good time.

  • Betta owners need to REALIZE that they live in PUDDLES in the wild, not lakes, streams or ponds. Put them in anything bigger than 2 gallons and they get lost and don't know what to do with themselves. They have lungs, so they don't need very much water. It's a little known fact, you definately don't need anything bigger than this setup.

  • That is utterly wrong. Yes, they live in small bodies of water in the wild, but that little "puddle" as you put it, is connected to a large lake or pond which is biologically filtered naturally which we need to imitate with a tank filter. It is an INSULT to fish to keep them in tiny bowls. This Betta would be a million times happier in a tank of just 4 or 5 Gallons. It's not that difficult!?

  • Thank goodness - Someone with common sense. You are completely correct. 20 gallons is unnecessary, but a betta would NOT mind it at all. 4 -5 gallons is a perfect medium for a betta.

  • Yup. They are beautiful fish which deserve decent care and commitment.

Sorry for all the double posting, I couldn't fit it all in one comment! :D

  • I understand. I grow weary of the 'Bettas are the easiest fish to care for there is, you only have to keep them in a teaspoon of water!' bull crap. God people, if you want an easy pet, get a pet rock. Bettas are living creatures. You bought them. - Owe up to the responsibilities of proper care.

  • It's a fish. Flush it and get a new one. They're dispensable.

  • Your name suits you. "Stoopud". Is that how you look at dogs or cats? Maybe you should educate yourself, fish are as smart as dogs or cats, if you can't care for one...don't fucking buy it. Your the type that would have kids before you were able to or knew how to care for them properly, irresponsible idiot, they should require people to take some sort of class before owning pets because of idiots like you.

  • Hmmm, sorry? You were talking? Oh sorry, I was busy flushing my 3825th goldfish down the toilet and feeding the rest to my pet snakes. I vaguely thought I heard you say something about a fish being intellegent, but then I realized that only a total IDIOT would say something that foolish. So that couldn't have been YOU , could it have? I mean, you aren't a TOTAL moron, right? Well, why are we trying to kid ourselves, you said fish are as smart as dogs and cats. HARDLY even CLOSE.

  • Umm I can back my statement with evidence. ALso, you have the attitude of a woman, you need to man up. Stop being such little pansy. Like I said...educate yourself STOOPUD.

    .aquahobby./articles/e_intelligence.php

  • Lol, the sad thing is I can that you really truly believe you are smart. Your a dumb little boy with mental issues, you'll see that one day, maybe not. I taught my parrot fish to jump through a hoop in less than an hour....my dog took a bit longer. See, intelligent people do their research, see it for themselves, then talk. You just flap your gums for no reason, you don't even know what the fuck your talking about.

  • Ha ha, ok fish boy. Have fun with your fish, ha ha ha.. freak..

  • I make 90k a year, I have a lot of fun all the time and I can buy whatever I want. Have fun buying 29 cent feeders with the money your mom gives you.

  • I guess you don't have a big family then, but do you have your own house? big family + owning a big house(and not finished paying) + making 90k a year with a stay-at-home-and-raise-the-kids mom = not enough money. Not to be offensive, but saying "I can buy whatever I want" is kind of ignorant, because if you buy any/everything you want, you will run out of money and wont be able to support yourself and... well you probably know what would happen then.

  • Don't worry I didn't spit in the water... Good fish keeping tips everyone... Like I said I'd wish someone had told me this sooner but Lex died last fall... So I hope the comments you left will help other Betta owners.

  • thats kind of sicusting when u spit on the tank,,lol y are u wearing gloves when u feed him..lol

  • I have the rare black betta fish =D

  • LUCKY~! Dx

  • The Stewie addage was great, but you should really get the little guy a filter. I'm not trying to be mean but that tank is NOT suitable. The only way you could maybe make it work would be to change 20% of the water every day (and RO/DI) because regular tap water contains toxic levels of chlorine and chloramine. Anyway, please get him a filter at the very least...and a 20 gallon tank.

  • ... it's a BETTA. Bettas live in PUDDLES in the wild. They breathe with lungs, they don't even breathe the water, that's why you always see them coming up for air. They do NOT need a filter. Puddles are not "filtered" in the wild, and a 20 GALLON TANK!?!?! The betta would shit itself and feel completely lost! Nothing bigger than 2 GALLONS actually. You know about fish in general, but you obviously don't know about Bettas.

  • Stop insulting people. Bettas don't need a 20 gallon, you're right. 5 gallons is a nice medium. And yes, puddles in the wild aren't filtered, but the ecosystem DOES deal with their waste production, unlike a contained 1/4 gallon. I'm sorry, but you're spreading unsound advice.. Take a moment and research a little, okay..?

  • They are easy, undemanding fish, who only need the basics: a 3 Gallon plus tank, a filter which is not too powerful, but enough to keep the water free from ammonia, nitrite or excess nitrate, decent floating pellet food, a heater, and enough time to perform basic maintenance.

  • why do you need to keep the water free from a heater and enough time to perform basic maintenance? and bettas can be happy in tanks smaller than 3 gallons.(I'mnot saying they can thrive happily in a glass of water)

  • Igot a 5GL for mine filter too! he likes it

  • The sad thing is that they sell that very same tank in petstores specially made for betas! I think they're called beta keepers or something like that. So people buy them thinking it's a good home since it says on the box that it's for betas! Pet stores sell even smaller ones than that for betas too. Yet more proof that most pet companies only care about making money and not the health of animals.

  • Guys, I wish I'd read this earlier, Lex unfortunately died. It was a good year or so :(

Everyone: get your bettas bigger tanks.

  • Aww, that broke my heart. I'm sorry. :(

  • I'm so sorry your fish died, and I wish someone could have helped you earlier..

If you ever need any help, you should come to ultimatebettas It's a wonderful forumn about bettas that would really help everyone here care for their bettas. :) I hope to see you there, if you decide to.

  • Aaww! Cute! Give him a bigger tank, too!
