  • Cristofer7: This was the second time that the Cailfornia Ballot Initiative was used to deny

people their rights the first time (ironically) was the 1964 Proposition 14 which nullified

the 1963 Rumford Fair Housing Act. Prop 14 passed with 65% of the vote. apparently

white people did not want black people (if I may borrow a phrase) "redefining" their

neighborhoods. The U.S. gov. immediatey cut off allFederal Housing funds to California and in 1966 it was overturned by the CA Supeme Court.

  • The poll released by the Public Policy Institute of California finds that Prop 8's strongest support came not from African-Americans but from white conservatives, born-again Christians, and low-income voters. P

  • @oanunkor which put together makes the majority of americans.

low income people make the majority of any country.

  • @oanunkor Born Again, makes the majority of all christians, regardless of denomination.

Infact, Christianity is founded in part, on the virtues of being born again, and forgiveness for sin.

  • @oanunkor christianity won't come back, until its used for exactly that...

    born again....

    not for executing sinners.

you don't get members, by excommunicating the very people who need your help.

  • @oanunkor some born again christians were criminals, murderers, thieves, prostitutes, drunkards and drug addicts,

some born again christians will never enjoy the fruits of redemption here on earth, such as deathrow inmates, which I believe is just plain wrong, but thats the world for ya

some born again christians are ex-athiests

some born again christians, are people who were on the religious right, and feel that they were wrong for what they used religion for

    mistake makes a majority

  • @oanunkor thats it, and if you have some kind of a bigotry against christians, maybe you need to reaccess yourself.

    period...

I don't know if you do or not, and im not accusing you before you prove that you do..

    but

    bigotry is bigotry, is bigotry.

  • @oanunkor preaching the gospel, to people deemed as "ass holes" and "Monsters" is never an easy job, and it isn't for the faint of heart.

because shit will be sprung in your face, because they are being punished for reason...

they're not the nicest people in the world.

but those are the people that need to hear the gospel of god, not some rich man, and not a law abiding suburban citizen.

  • @oanunkor and sometimes, when doing prison ministry work,

sometimes the preacher does have to put her foot down, and tell them whats what...

You're on deathrow, not me.... so sit down.

sometimes that does have to happen, like I said, its not an easy job, but thats what christianity is built on.

  • @WinterMate81186 why did you just leave me 10 comments.... Please stop being creepy. Bye.

  • @oanunkor please stop being a bigot then

  • Comment removed

  • @oanunkor your fuckin mom is creepy

    she raised a bigot

  • @WinterMate81186 Yes, when all else fails mention a persons mother. HAHAHA! You're a joke. Again, I stand by what I said and that's it. Leave me alone!

  • Gay agenda is scary!!

  • @MrDkay88 there is NO agenda

  • I just want to point something out here, regarding the blacks voting thing. Blacks voted yes 70% of the time, roughly. There are 2.5 million black people in california, which has a population of 37.1 million. That means that those 70% of blacks who voted yes make up roughly 4.7%; while 52.24% of the population said yes. That means there's still 47.54% of california who voted yes on prop 8 who are not black. So just looking at numbers it's clear we can't blame blacks for prop 8; it's math.

  • Wow

  • It's always been like that though.... which doesn't justify it, just makes it sad. 70% voted yes so now they're pushing the ones who had no hand in it's passing to blame as well JUST for their color and the fact that their within that "community." It's the same as people who still blame whites for the past slavery in America that our generation had no hand in. People be racist.

  • @SPEARMlNT I love this comment

  • People are going to keep finding anything they can to make "us" vs. "them" groups. Whether it's religion, race, or sexuality. Even things like the music you listen to or the clothes you wear. It's simply how humans work. Sucks, doesn't it?

  • @RDeathbringer damn, I love this comment too

  • how is their social skills substandard quality ?

    well

they are famously "el cheapo", and they think that because they went to college, and they get jobs that are more rarely heard of in the market, that they are somehow superior

the way they talk is offensive, sarcasm and uncalled for comebacks are offensive, and it isnt nice.

it isnt nice, especially after you've been lead to believe that they are MORE social than most other groups of people, and then you find out they are LESS.

  • personally, I think its the jews that cant complain about anything anymore.

we support them through their own fucking tidal waves, that they themselves created.... (after 1948)

and we get substandard quality socialization from them, and we get arrogance and rudeness from them, in return.

  • Is marriage a right?

  • I am not for homosexuality I believe they should have jobs and careers but marriage no just no way

  • @BiGMANJOE32 Marriage is a farce anyway. People shouldn't need a piece of paper to love each other. I know of a heterosexual couple who have chosen not to get married. They have been together for over 15 years (longer than most marriages).

  • "30% of them didn't"

I don't know the numbers but a lot of people didn't vote. So way over 50% of people didn't vote yes, and over 50% of people didn't vote no.

  • Read The "Born Gay" Hoax by Ryan Sorba

  • im christian, and its christians who are so hateful that they dont let other people live their lives that give other christians and religion a bad name. im for gay rights, let them be happy.

  • @mynameisaraw "its christians who are so hateful" - Yet more proof that religion is a complete and utter failure. Atheists are far less hateful than Christians... go figure.

  • @cakeisnotanumber id be completely fine if the whole world was full of christians as long as they didnt let their spiritual beleifs get in the way of common sense, thats what i do. i dont try to impose my beleifs on someone else, i have friends who are athiests, christians, one of my friends is pagen. i dont care about their spiritual beleifs, it doesnt make them bad people. i judge people by their personalities, not beleifs, skin colour, or sexual orientation.

  • @cakeisnotanumber but i guess im an acception when it comes to christians, beleiving in the big bang, evolution, ect. i still beleive in the christian god but i think that the bibles more of a guide on how to live a good life, and that alot of the things change with time, such as homosexuality. in the old testement it was a sin to shave and eat shellfish.

  • @mynameisaraw The bible is an awful guide on morality. I challenge you to follow ALL the morals and rules as specified in the bible for a whole month. Note that you would have to end up stoning someone to death within the first day.

How do you know which morals in the bible our outdated and which aren't? Well you use the morals you learn from society to decide which biblical morals are right and which are now wrong... in short the bible is redundant in regard to morals.

  • @cakeisnotanumber dont worry i know there are ALOT of problems, considering it was written by man around 700 years after jesus died, and that a king decided what went in them and what didnt, as i said it should change with the times. but there are some things in the bible that are good such as, love thy neighbour, respect your parents, turn the other cheek, dont look down on people, ect. and if someone is spiritual dont let those beleifs get in the way of logic.

  • @mynameisaraw The morals you speak of are not unique to the bible. Indeed the 'golden rule' (do unto others as you want done unto yourself) pre-dates the bible by a long way. The bible has some awful morals and rules in it. The good morals in the bible are known by ALL cultures whether or not they are religious or not... hence I repeat that religion is redundant in regards to morals.

Look at the Catholic church for more examples of bad morals!

  • @cakeisnotanumber yes but the bible also has those morals. that they are in there (whether they are in other cultures or not) just goes with what i said "there are some things in the bible that are good" i never said other cultures didnt have them or that those werent considering morally positive before the bible, i just said that they were in the bible. the catholic church isnt that great of an argument, yes there are some bad things that go on in them SOMETIMES but not all of them its like...

  • @cakeisnotanumber saying "all male adults are pedophiles" some are but not all. its just generalizing a large group for something a fraction of it did.

  • @mynameisaraw Can you provide any tangible evidence for the existence of god? If you do you will be the first person ever to do so, so good luck :)

  • @cakeisnotanumber i beleive you are entitled to that, but you cant truly prove or disprove god, thats why they call beleif in him faith, if your an athiest you are entitled to be just that. i know this goes without saying but dont let some smug christian (or someone with major personal issues and claiming the bible said it as a defense) change that :) and if you see a christian strugling with their beleif in god just tell them to follow their own heart and....

  • @mynameisaraw 'Faith' is a get out clause for people with delusional beliefs. Can you disprove the gods of other religions? If not then why don't you believe in them?

  • @cakeisnotanumber why are you acting so hostile about this? its not like im saying "beleive in god or go to hell" im someone who doesnt care about people's spiritual beleifs 0.0 plus the "Faith" thing is what is i guess considered beleif without evidence so it isn't "delusion beleifs" its just something YOU don't beleive. to answer your question personally i just beleive in the christian god, i dont really know why i just do.

  • @cakeisnotanumber that it isnt bad to be a christian or an athiest and that no one can decide that for them except themselves.

  • Of course people SHOULD decide for themselves. But also people shouldn't delude themselves. The best way to become atheist is to read ALL the bible and realise that some of it is backward and barbaric.

  • @cakeisnotanumber just because someone has spiritual beleifs doesnt mean they are deluding themselves. you've got to admit you can't prove that god doesnt exist, just as christians can't prove he does. so saying its delusional to beleive in him is kind of an arrogant statement. of course there are some really messed up things in the bible, everyone knows that. but the law used to be fucked up (even when no christian influence was involved).

  • @mynameisaraw "you've got to admit you can't prove that god doesnt exist" - We also can't prove that fairies and pixies don't exist, I guess you believe in those too? Also why don't you believe in the gods of other religions? Please explain. I bet you won't because it will expose your beliefs as being unfounded.

Often if there is zero existence for something it often means that thing does not exist.

  • @mynameisaraw "but the law used to be fucked up" - Oh so killing children for swearing at their parents or killing people for working on the sabbath is a GOOD law!? Lol you really need to research what morals are.

  • @cakeisnotanumber wow seriously? your just going to ASSUME i thought that was okay? 1 i know what morals are and 2 HELL no it isnt a good law thats why i said "Laws USED to be fucked up" that doesnt happen anymore.

  • @mynameisaraw "but the law used to be fucked up" - Oh so killing children for swearing at their parents or killing people for working on the sabbath is a GOOD law!? Lol you really need to research what morals are.

  • @mynameisaraw "but the law used to be fucked up" - Oh so killing children for swearing at their parents or killing people for working on the Sabbath is a GOOD law!?

  • @cakeisnotanumber seriously why are you so hostile about this, i accept other people's beleifs! I don't impose my beleifs on others! i dont beleive in fairies and stuff like that just because i don't. and i've already said this, no i dont beleive in the god's of other religions because the christian god is the one i beleive in i don't really know why i do i admit that i just do. if one of my friends worshiped allah i'd say go for it i don't care. seriously why are you continuing...

  • @mynameisaraw "i don't really know why" - Well maybe it's worth asking why? I'm continuing because religion is very damaging to this world and it needs to be stopped.

  • @cakeisnotanumber i dont really know why because i just have a connection to god that im happy with. i think its good that you continue that, but only do it to the religious people who are use their respective teachings to support their bigoted nonsense, the ones who are damaged themselves. not the harmless ones who keep their spirituality as a personal thing and don't force it down the throats of others.

  • @cakeisnotanumber we arent all bad, beleive me, if i see a christian hating on someone and using the bible to defend their actions i get pissed. they make the actual GOOD christians look like complete assholes and make us all look like a bunch of psychotic idiots who try and control other people's lives.

  • @mynameisaraw "But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father's house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst". (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)

Why don't you start following ALL the rules in the bible?

  • @cakeisnotanumber because not all the rules in the bible are relevent at this time. they were back then because thats how cruel laws were. but they arent now the reason stuff like it being a sin to shave and eat shellfish is in the old testement is because it isnt relevent anymore. unfortunately alot of people see this as a set in stone law instead of just a guide line. of course its nice to save your virginity for the one you love because its really amazing if you share that first experience..

  • @mynameisaraw "of course its nice to save your virginity for the one you love because its really amazing if you share that first experience.." - It's nice for some people I agree, but you mustn't force your beliefs on others. You say in another comment that it's disgraceful but it really isn't, it's nice to save yourself sure, but what happens if you get divorced?

We don't need religion for morals, and indeed religion is that last place to learn morals.

  • @cakeisnotanumber i beleive that way both for beleif in religion and disbeleif in it, i beleive it is equally as wrong to say "you have to beleive in god *insert reason here*" as it is to say "there is no god get a life *insert rest here* its just people saying to eachother "your (dis)beleif in god is wrong, you need to change to suit my beleifs"

  • @cakeisnotanumber i dont force my beleifs on others i'd be hypocritical if i did, and you should read what i said over again. i said it ISNT disgraceful. alot of religious people blow sex before marriage out of proportion, it shouldnt matter as long as they are in love.

  • @mynameisaraw Apologies for misreading your comment. I'm glad you are open-minded to others in this way.

You don't force your beliefs on others which is your decision, but a lot of religious people do. Religion infects society and government far too much.

  • @cakeisnotanumber its alright, i know that alot of religious people do that, and i hate it so much, its true that alot of religious people base their opinions on alot of things they assume to be wrong because of the bible, but in the bible things arent actually black and white, people can take from it what they want. like the whole "man shall not lie with mankind as with womankind for it is an abomination" could actually mean a straight man shouldnt like with a man because they are...

  • @cakeisnotanumber going against nature because a straight person wasnt ment to have sex with someone of the same gender :) but not all religious people think about it. i know that alot of religious people paint a picture to people who dont follow that religion that religion is for bigots who just take pleasure in other people's pain. im trying to talk to people to show them that there are people who arent like that. i have tons of friends who don't follow my religion, in fact i think most...

  • @cakeisnotanumber are athiests, im not sure because i don't really try and find that stuff out because it is irrelivent. i want you to know that religion isn't all bad, the main reason i am like this is BECAUSE of my religion. i use to be a really horrible kid and something happened to me that made me so hate filled that i wanted to just go crazy, i was always somewhat religious but because of that event i was felt more deeply connected with religion and i wasnt so hateful anymore. and now i...

  • @mynameisaraw "the main reason i am like this is BECAUSE of my religion" - Your religion recommends that non-believers are stoned to death. Do you believe in that?

Why do you need religion to be a nice person? There is no correlation I've seen between nice people and their religious status, so religion is mostly redundant in this way. Counselling / therapy or getting support from friends and family trumps religion every time.

  • @cakeisnotanumber the only things i take from religion are the positive things like loving your fellow man, help people ect. i know that its not just in religion that it says that. there are times which religion can help people face life and actually try to live, because of the event that happened to me i was extremely suicidal i though "how could god do this to me" but i found that it was positive and its what helped mold me into who i am.

  • @mynameisaraw You can remain nice AND be an atheist. You don't have to believe in mumbo jumbo to be nice. I'd advise you to keep learning about science, such as evolution (Richard Dawkins - Greatest Show on Earth). Learn about psychology (not pop-psychology but the real thing). Learn about cosmology more and just keep studying. When people educate themselves in the sciences they very often become atheists.

  • @cakeisnotanumber i know that i can be nice and an athiest its just that i beleive in god, i dont really know why i just do, and im happy with that. if it was effecting my judgement in a negitive way i'd see why it would be a bad thing, but it can be really positive at times and it helps me and has helped me get through tough times. i do study science because i enjoy it. im thinking if i dont do something in computers (what i had originally wanted to do) i'd wanted to do something in...

  • @mynameisaraw It might be worth asking WHY you believe in god... considering there is zero evidence.

It's worth thinking that science has healed millions more lives than Jesus ever did... just a thought. Think eradication of smallpox, antibiotics, vaccines, heart transplants, water treatment plants (running water in your taps), understanding of germs (hygiene) has also saved many many millions of lives.

    Science delivers and religion doesn't.

  • @cakeisnotanumber well there isnt really ZERO evidence, yes there is zero evidence that he exists physically but its more of a "he doesnt exist where humans well" in a physical sense but that he is with us spiritually. i think that yeah science has helped us advance in society and technologically but just because that is a fact doesnt mean that religion is compeltely horrible.

  • @mynameisaraw dwell*

  • @mynameisaraw I think you would surprise yourself that friends, family and self-strength can overcome anything that religion can. It's just you've been used to using religion as a comfort blanket.

Praying does nothing. Once you realise that you learn to be more pro-active. Being pro-active trumps false hope any day of the week.

  • @cakeisnotanumber i dont use religion as a comfort blanket, sure it helped me get out of my depression but its not JUST religion i'd have to go more in depth about my situation to explain exactly what i mean. lets just say alot of things happened and religion helped me realize that things arent all bad for me. after that i started beleiving in god more and started being more pro-active. i beleive that god doesnt normally interfere with how the world works so i agree prayer doesnt really do much.

  • @cakeisnotanumber psychology :)

  • @cakeisnotanumber do what i can to try and help people who are struggling i know how difficult it can be for people to come to terms with being gay or transgendered and it makes it especially hard if people are saying that its wrong it may make them feel that much more confused or even make them start hating themselves. I feel that it is possible to love every human being for who they are which is the way the world should work. I know im not perfect but i try to be kind hearted and selfless. :)

  • @mynameisaraw Again you can retain your loving attitude and be atheist. Why do you need religion to treat other people well? Answer: You don't!

  • @cakeisnotanumber i know you don't. i dont beleive that god is someone that hover's over my shoulder and if im not kind he will smite me, its just that religion for me has made me into a better person and made me kinder that i used to be and i just want to be kind to others and help them because i want people to know that no matter how bad things get that theres always someone out there who will love them for who they are (i dont mean i'd convert them but that i'd be there for them)

  • @mynameisaraw "its just that religion for me has made me into a better person" - I'm interested to know how.

Again it seems your philosophy of being kind transcends religion. If you became an atheist you'd still be kind like you are. I'm not trying to convert you but I'm trying to say that religion is just a comfort blanket. Just because something is comforting doesn't make it true :)

  • @cakeisnotanumber because of certain events in my life i felt horrible and had alot of anger issues and i just wanted to hurt people and kill myself. but god made me realize that things arent bad and that my life is actually so much better than i thought. i do still get depressed every now and again but my friends help me get out of it, before i realized this though my friends comfort did nothing for me. at one point, if it wasn't for being religious i'd be dead right now, but....

  • @cakeisnotanumber i know that there is more to life than being cooped up feeling sorry for myself and now i am alot happier and healthier, even though what happened to me is because i was born and cant really be changed right now and i'm depressed every once in a while from it but not enough that im not going to live my life.

  • @cakeisnotanumber just to let you know, i realize that i don't need religion to be kind and happy and all that. thats actually exactly why i don't impose my beleifs on others. Its just that i beleive in god, im not sure why its just my personal experiences that made me feel that way. its not like my world would crumble if i found suddenly that god didn't exist. i just beleive in him thats the way it is, it wouldnt change me in anyway (at this point) im just happy the way i am. :)

  • @mynameisaraw Well you do sound happy and sound like a nice person. However I'd still be interested why you believed in god. You say 'personal experiences' but I know if we analyse those reasons they will fall apart.

  • @cakeisnotanumber well for me specifically if it wasnt for religion i would have killed myself but for other people in the same situation they didnt need religion, its all based on the person im pretty sure people in the same situation as me actually are mostly athiests to be honest. but it only worked for me because... well im me.

  • @mynameisaraw Well of course I'm happy that you're still with us. But the fact that religion happened to keep you alive doesn't prove that god exists. Indeed there is zero tangible evidence for god existing. Prayer has also been scientifically disproved and religion over the years is being more and more refuted. It is just a matter of time before everyone realises religion is pointless.

Human kindness will never die out but religion will.

  • @cakeisnotanumber i never said that religion helping me survive proved god's existence, i know that religion isnt for everyone and thats fine, but in my case it just strengthened my beleif in god. im saying that sometimes prayer can help get religious people through times that seem bleak until things lighten up, sometimes it can come back and slap them in the face because nothing happens (dont really beleive prayer has a real effect on the world but that it effects people) to tell you...

  • @cakeisnotanumber the truth i'd be okay if religion died, i dont really have a problem with that, its just that for me personally im always going to beleive in god, try not to impose that beleif on people, try to be as kind a person as i can for the rest of my life, defend anyone be they a gay, transgendered, lesbian, bi, or athiest person being attacked by a christian because i beleive in the freedom of/from religion.

  • @mynameisaraw I'm glad you agree that religion isn't needed for people to be kind and happy. In other words you are admitting that religion is redundant in this way. I can't see any other benefits of religion outside of making people better people.

  • @cakeisnotanumber well im not agreeing that its redundant, i do agree that religion isn't for everyone, but there are times where religion can be a defining moment and someone's life and change it around for the better where nothing else can

  • @cakeisnotanumber together, but it isnt a horrible disgraceful thing to do it before your married.

  • @cakeisnotanumber this argument? I'm going to continue on beleiving god i seriously doubt you're going to be able to make me become an athiest. i'm not trying to convert you, im not spouting bigoted religious verses. i dont get why your doing this.

  • You got it RIGHT on!, Cristofer.

You don't put human RIGHTS up to a vote. They're societally foundational, even if a court has to introduce it to get bigots to stop acting up prejudicial behavior.

  • How is this any different from some white people not wanting black people to have equal rights.?

Or for some religious men to not want women to have equal rights?

The idea that one group can try and deny another group the same Human rights on the basis of sexuality is as ignorant as trying to do so because of skin color or gender or any other reason.

All of this prejudice & Ignorance i see as going back to Religion!

The religion people want to say is of Love all I see from it is Hate!

  • @Godless4life I see. So equal rights for pedophiles, necrophiliacs, beastiality, incest, and so on. To this day I've never heard a single gay lover talk about equal rights for polygamists. This is not about equal rights (which as a single person, I don't have), it's about pushing the gay lifestyle down the throats of the rest of the public and trying to legitimize it. Gays don't need marriage to sodomize each other, or live with each other, so it's not about marriage, but just the gay agenda.

  • @Elhardt

Number one the majority of pedophiles which have been caught are Straight not gay. That is just off the top and it doesn't relate in any way to Gay rights. It is nothing but an attempt to try and distract from the human rights issue!

A large number of Pedpophiles are actually Catholic Priests! Chew on that one!

How exactly do two homosexuals being able to get married push the life style down your throat? What are you trolling for a gay lover?

  • @Elhardt

Look at history simular objections were made to giving Black people equal rights as well as giving women equal rights. While the bullshit spouted by the ignorant is different it equates to the same in the end.

One group wants to limits the rights of another group based entirely upon their own Prejudice.

NO WHERE in prop 8 does it say YOU or anyone else has to engage in homosexual behavior. It is simply about giving those who are homosexual the same rights as everyone else!

  • prop 8 just proved no matter how much bs you talk about "our struggles"

the truth is they are 2 totally different situations entirely.

sexual preference is who or what you chose to have sex with.

race is the stamp you were born with.

  • @TOXIC00L I can careless about your personal struggles you fuckin idiot. To me, Prop 8 is nothing more than a referendum that denies a group of minorities rights. But trying to convince a half with like yourself would be useless. As far as "sexual preferences" goes. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have had sexual attractions towards members of the OPPOSITE sex (females) since I was in pre school. Not because I chose it. But because I was born that way.

  • @HarveyRex23 I heard homophobes like yourself make the best candidates for "closeted homosexuals". Maybe you're really gay. And I figure the best way for you to suppress your homosexuality is to openly bash other gays.

  • @HarveyRex23

lmfao wow i agree you are a seriously closeted homosexual homophobe but did you ave to go that far insulting yourself?

    lmfao

  • @HarveyRex23 civil rights struggle you retard.

homosexuals say the civil rights struggle is the same as there struggle which is total bullshit.

i don't care who you fancy you are called b who or what you have sex with no more no less.

  • @TOXIC00L Perhaps moronic sheep like yourself you should try thinking for yourselves for a change. Rather than have the fuckin church do it for you. You imbecile. I think the world would be better off.

  • @HarveyRex23

the church lol last i checked church didn't say shit about homosexuals for the most part its a basic don't mess with me and i wont destroy you situation.

as for thinking for myself my ideas are my own and i don't give a fuck what anybody says no outside poarty influences my decision.

  • @HarveyRex23

but since more than a few of the folks who owned slaves were gay or

the fact that every other puff ive met was a racist idiot.

or the fact that you shitheads blame black people or religious people

or the fact that you think we owe you pity when you

Caused most of the shit we had to deal with over the last few centuries.

bottom line is there is no correlation between a(racial civil rights struggle) and b(sexual preference pity party)

    you sycophantic self involved nit.

  • rational thought?

hhm the fascist jdge tells california that they haver to accept something and its mandatory by law.

wait wtf thats not rational thats fucking fascism no matter how you slice it.

no judges were against calling people niggers nor did they pass some legislation yet they forced us to be ok with the gay's?

fuck that we got it right the whole point was the right to choose what we think is right in there we chose yes morons chose no thats all there is to it.

  • Let's have a law in where the state can determine which couples the fuckin church can marry in their wedding ceremonies. And let's see how much they would support that idea? I don't think. Prop 8 is obviously wrong. And I would appreciate it greatly if the church doesn't force their bullshit beliefs and their so called ideas of what familial values should be upon the public sector of society. This Prop 8 thing is also a Separation of Church and State issue.

  • Prop 8 originally pass because minority rights were left up to a popular vote. Minority rights should NEVER be put to popular vote. The Majority will win nearly every time.

  • @xephyr1000 Well said. The rights of minorities should never be determined by the tyranny of the voting majority. That is why we have a state Supreme Court. Even though it may have it's flaws, I still believe in the state supreme court. And I do fully support the state judges decision on repealing Prop 8. earlier this year.

  • @HarveyRex23 prop 8 just proved no matter how much bs you talk about "our struggles" the truth is they are 2 totally different situations entirely.

  • one thing that I do not really understand humans is that why do these people who claim to be protecting morals and marriage can't just learn how to mind their own business instead of trying to pass laws that dictate how other people should live their private lives like trying to ban gay marriage? Afterall it should be each individual's own choice on who he or she wants to spend his/her life with. Gosh! is this the way the america that I live in works? always digging into other people's privacy

  • Blaming blacks for Prop. 8 is nonsense. Why not blame males generally who

voted 54% for prop 8 vs. 49% for women generally? Or how about voters

66 years or older who voted 67% for Prop. 8? Or what about Republicans

who voted 81% for Prop. 8 Or for that mater Protestants who voted 65%

or Catholics who voted 55% for Prop 8. FYI Jewish voters voted 17% for

Prop. 8 not because they love gays but because they fight for civil liberties

and can recognize scapegoating when they see it.

  • I don't believe that being gay is wrong. I do think it's incorrect and should be treated as a pathology. Just my two cents.

  • *virtual high 5* I'm half black, an atheist and totally agree with you

  • Wow. someone like you needs to be in power. kudos to you, my friend.

  • Truthfully I am 100% atheist, I still believe being gay is WRONG. No matter how you believe we were put on this earth, there is a reason girls have vagina's and men have penis's. If men were meant to be with men then we would have vagina's, and vice verse with women. As well as the fact that if men were meant to be with men they could have babies....And so you know, you go and bring up obama, only reason he won is because hes black,

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 - so you are talking about the sex aspect of a homosexual relationship. You feel that is wrong because men don't have vaginas? You have never enjoyed oral sex? You and you lady just stick to vaginal intercourse, because anything else would not allow for a pregnancy? That is silly. Homosexuality is not for you. It isn't for me, but this is about human rights. I will not stand in the way of a person getting to enjoy the same rights I enjoy. I see you have many issues.

  • @Cristofer7 It ISNT RIGHT, we were born how we are to be with OPPOSITE SEX.

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 We are born biologically for that, we are not born FOR it. Yes, penises are made for vaginas, but that doesn't mean a damn thing when it comes down to human rights or nature. People will seek out the ones they enjoy spending time with, whether or not it be a man or a woman is nobody elses business. And just to clarify, no I'm not gay, I just feel that people being denied one of their inalienable rights (Pursuit of Happines) for something as dumb as sexual preference is wrong.

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 Actually, that is because we are biologically set to mate with a vagina and penis. However, what you fail to understand is that homosexuality is practiced in nature. Insects tend to commit it, even deer, bear, and squirrels. Welcome to you've just been owned. Also, Obama isn't just black, his mother is Caucasian. He is a mixed race. Welcome again; to you've just been owned.

  • "No matter how you believe we were put on this earth, there is a reason girls have vagina's and men have penis's."

So you have never had a wank then?

"As well as the fact that if men were meant to be with men they could have babies"

Meant to? No such thing as meant to if you believe in Evolution. Happen to perhaps. We happen to used our hands to forage for food, doesn't mean we can wack off with them. We happen to use our anus for shitting, doesn't mean we can't incorporate into sex.

  • @WhitepwrItalian1

Why should your personal convictions and beliefs ever play a role in what consenting adults do in the privacy of your own home?

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 Congrats on being 100% Atheist..not! You seem to be a young or new atheist. You made it outside the religious box but you are still in a box. If you are atheist, then you know that homosexuality is normal. Look in the animal kingdom, there are many animals that conduct in homosexual activity. I don't think you are Atheist. You are just a wanna be atheist because a true atheist view homosexuality as part of evolution. Once again, you are a young atheist and have a lot to learn.

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 The reason why you disagree with homosexuality is probably because of your past or background and upbringing. Partly I suspect past religious beliefs is in play that's why you disagree with homosexuality. Most atheist were religious at one point. Keep researching on atheism and science. You might learn a lot more than what you current know. I'm an atheist as well as a mtf transexual.

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 LOL. You, an atheist? Give it up, fundie. You suckers just can't help spewing the typical tripe & tropes.

Problem is you don't exhibit the defining quality of atheists: thoughtfulness. You "believe" things - mostly shit and for no apparent reason - and say stuff like "we were put on this earth".

Can there be ignorant, ill-educated, plain pig-headed atheists? Maybe. But stupid people generally make up or swallow whole superstitious nonsense and can't really be called atheists.

  • @WhitepwrItalian1 In that case why do so many straight people have anal sex? Also there are gay animals and animals occur in nature... so it IS natural. Bad luck with your weak argument.

  • Yes, obviously it is not the fault of the blacks alone. I think the reason they got so much attention on this is because of the irony. One would think that a "race" that has had a history of being discriminated against would not vote to allow the discrimination of others. But it goes to show we are all human and all humans have a tendency to discriminate. I'm glad the state of Iowa, where I live, has things right thus far!

  • well that's true. And even if every single black person voted for prop 8, it would have had no chance of winning without support from other groups. But what it does say, is that if you're gay, 70% of black people hate you. True or not, that's the very clear message.

  • Well said Cristofer7, I also agree with everything you said, as a mom with two young children, it is my biggest wish they can grow up in a world of freedom and equality.

  • Fuck religion.....California....San Francisco....Hollywood.....Los Angeles....Faggots Queers Dykes Gays Lesbians Transgenders Transexuals Rampant...Movies...Music ....Radio....Media.....then the state votes AGAINST LGBT PEOPLE? HYPOCRISY......Arnold needs his dick cut off,,,,,,and if you bastards OUT THERE don't repeal this shit, you need to be cut off from the continental USA and drop off into the pacific ocean....sorry about your earthquake issues..fuck you....BE FOR FUCKING REAL. LGBT RIGHTS

  • somebody need to spray niggers with fire hoses and sic dogs on their sorry forgetting asses.....as a black/native american mixed GAY man....fuck you NIGGAS ...you don't deserve a goddamned thing you take for granted......Paul Mooney should stand up and talk about your sorry selves. How did that nigga vote? Wonderin?

  • "This is human beings denying other people rights" right on. Sometimes the majority is wrong and politicians should just do what is right. Millions of jews were killed when the majority felt it was okay, it was not okay. Blacks were slaves because most people thought it was okay, it was not okay.

"Freedom is the right to do anything I want, unless I infringe on someone else's freedom" John Stuart Mill

  • well guess what the straight black guys out number the black fags I wonder where Obama would be if he didn't have a different opinion on the issue

  • jews. PLEASE don't be him. People hate gay people around the world, and there isn't more love than hate for us right now. Make a CHANGE. remember the RESULTS of past anti-movements..... i.e. GENOCIDE, SEGREGATION, hate crimes, murder, mental anguish...... etc.... don't be that person....

  • @outerspaceit SORRY guys.. not enough room.. but the begining was that it took one Hitler to kill 6 million jews....... Human rights.. understand that...

  • @outerspaceit Americans aren't invincible... We can have bloodshed at our doorsteps too! don't let this happen. Look at UGANDA now... genocide waiting to happen.. anti-anything is wrong.. we are all human. we are the only ones who hurt each other for NO reason...

  • I largely agree with your thoughts here. I do believe people have a right to their religious beliefs and have a right to vote as they choose. However, I don't believe this should have ever been put to a referendum. If indeed this is a 'fundamental' right, it's not something a vote should be able to strip away. Imagine the mess that would have ensued if Southern states allowed referendums on Black equality during the Black civil rights movement? Delay, and more anguish... nothing good.

  • Great Video

  • Who's the "wolf"? Last I checked, it was straight female teachers who seemed to be molesting youngsters left and right.

  • Prejudice is not the same as ABERRATION ...!

Who do You Want Guard Your Little "Lambs" a dog or a WOLF...?

  • Yo TC! I'VE been wondering what you've gotten up 2 after Magnum P.I.

  • I know this is a reply. To who?

It' s confusing just watching this video.

  • I blame the 31 Blacks in Maine for same-sex marriage not passing in that state!

  • Well said. Its an ideology, not a racial issue.

  • I agree 100%!! Cheers from Germany

  • You are a fool!

  • gays don't hate you because your black....we hate you because you are a straight piece of shit....

  • Why should you hate straight people who support your cause?

  • Great video!

  • fucking prop 8. all it shows (ONCE AGAIN) that this state is extremely fucked.

  • bigotry is more in the white community than the black and only in the black because it started with the white..

  • Whats that got to do with the homos though?

I think gays were counting on black support, since blacks are bitching about their "civil rights" they actually thought blacks would support gays in their quest for the same.

  • Cristofer7 is right.

Bigotry can be found in the white community, the black community, the latino community, etc. So can love, tolerance, and justice. The reason some in the black community are being blamed is because of fuckheads like Bill O'reilly who are trying to fan the flames of racism and homophobia in order to divide these communities. DON'T LET HIM. It's the same old "divide and conquer" strategy used time and again to keep minorities down. Reach out to black and latino gays.

  • ugly potato head its a moral decision we dont want to pay for fags threw the government, not on my dollar but they can do as they please other wise, they can gang bang each in their own home but not on my dollar.

  • gay marriage is aj oke. Marriage is not a right it is a privilege. heterosexual couples create life, i think that is a good reason to protect the sacred marriage. gay marriage will never create life, it doesn't matter what the medical or social, psycological circumstances are, it will never, ever create life. That is why marriage is not a right it is a privilege.

  • Could someone please tell me why the hell gay couples would want to get married in the first place?

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against homosexuals, but it's just that being homosexual is incompatible with just about all religions. Sorry, but if your gay just drop out of the church or whatever and form a civil union or something, adopt a child and get on with your lives.

  • Simply, if your a theist, research and question your theistic beliefs. If your God is true, then he will stand strong against the scrutiny of we feeble men, and be un-deniable. Unfortunately that's not the case.

  • 1) round the fags up

    2) ship them to a concentration camp

    3) walk away

    4) throw away key

  • wait.

    you're serious?
