I have the same one as issued sidearm. I think a decocker would be useful on this gun, but i like it better, than the issued browning i had before 941 f. i bought a fobus holster for the gun. I really like look of the gun, it is fairly agressive
I have the 9mm Version and it is the best gun I have ever used and I have gone through a few. I am an X US Army MP and used the M9 which sucks by comparison. I was also in MPI & CID where I used the Sig 229 and hands down I wish I had one of these in those days. Now I work for a Local PD and have used every thing from a SW 4586 to the SW M&P. I use the Jericho as my secondary and its an awesome tool. The weight, balance, accuracy, craftsmanship and trigger pull are the best I have found.
Frame mounted safeties on Jericho's are way better than slide mounted safeties on Baby Eagles. Polygonal barrels also kick the crap out of what's being imported as well.
What's being imported is polygonal rifling. A magnum research "Baby Eagle" is a Jericho 941 out and out, the slide mounted safety is an Israeli option as well.
well I'll be darned... I just checked the web site and you are right about the Polygonal barrels. Was talking to one of my friends and he just bought one and said the don't anymore, must have not known what I was talking about.
But all and all, I don't know why Magnum Research went with slide mounted for the imported version. It's pretty much the only reason I didn't buy one.
I'm actually thinking about the cz-75 sp-01 Shadow instead. It doesn't have polygonal rifling, but when I shot my friend's, the trigger and sights were a dream to use.
Much more user friendly than the USP I've been shooting.
That's a matter of opinion. Guys who come from a military background, and are used to the M9, might prefer the slide safety just because it is more familiar to them.
A queridinha dos jagunceiros não falha ; simples e muito confiável -- 9mm pow!!!!!

Nice. I think these models with the saftey on the frame look the best. I dont know why they moved it to the slide. Steel frame guns are the best!!

Non meriti neppure una risposta, sei un povero ignorante di armi. Taci che fai più bella figura.

Why can't the US military use great pieces of hardware like this rather than the crap M9?

wasn't one of the original calibers for the gun .41 AE?
McMike321 2 years ago
Yeah but despite being innovative it was ignored as unnecessary.
Maphisto86 2 years ago
yes. they supplied it with 9mm and gave the ability to change it to fire 41AE. but after a while they started selling it with 40AE instead.

The SP-01 is a nice gun, but some people like the more weighty 941 due to the all-steel construction.
Sephirius 3 years ago
hm. You must be thinking the polymer model.
In 9mm:
The Steel SP-01 is 2.6lbs (1.17kg)
The Jericho is 2.4lbs (1.09kg)
But the SP-01 has a very similar full length dust cover that the Jericho did have first.
