  • I have never seen a cockroach that slow and clumsy. What specie is he? I have madagaskar hissing cocroaches and argentina cockroaches. They are faster.

But excellent training, you really take patience to another level.

  • That.......was.......HILARIOUS, showjumping for cockroaches, amazing. !

I've seen far worse animal acts on some TV talent shows,.......I would love to see Simon Cowell's reaction to this performance.

The music from the film, " Zorba The Greek ", was a good choice, ( great film ), I was expecting the cockroach to rear up and start doing the Greek dance from the film, ( perhaps with a it more training ), :).

Lord, I do love creative eccentrics.

  • woah. gross but cool... you and your animals must work hard

  • holy shit that is HUGE, haha, cool vid

  • That is absolutely amazing! I'd say you're a really good pet-trainer!

  • Wow, this is really cool 8D I've never seen anything like this before. Then again, I've never heard of keeping roaches as pets before... o_o

  • Wow... Biggest, cutest, and smartest cockroaches I've ever seen :D

I usually think cockroaches are pretty.. horrible, but these ones had really cute little faces! <3 Thanks for sharing!

  • gross looking insects that i would never touch, but that's amazing that you can teach them something like this.

  • lol I use to not like roaches but this guy is smart

  • Fascinating..!!! I used to be scared of them..but now I see things different !

and the ending is cute..the cockroach is clinging to the object like thinking..I can do it -

I can do it...grrr..-I can do itttt ...XD

You did a great job! :D *applauds*

  • thanks! the ending reminds me a bit of a hamster wheel ;-)

  • i think i wouldn't touch it but nice vid xD

  • I just started Karen Pryor's new book & she talks about training a hermit crab to ring a bell. Great work. Glad to see you post - I enjoy watching and sharing your videos. Hmmmm - if roaches can learn (& of course they can), does that mean we (as humans) have to change the way we look at them and other insects? Thanks for stepping outside the box. 5* and a favorite. :-)

  • hi! thanks so much for the bell-idea! i hope i still have some patience left to try this out - their few brain cells works sooo slowly...

btw, i copied your bubble-trick with my dogs (not shared yet) ;-)

  • I'd love to take credit for "bubbles", but we didn't come up with it. I'd seen it a couple of times and decided to give a try. It's fun. :-) I wonder if a roach can blow bubbles? Or a mouse??? :-)

  • Has anyone ever attempted to train roaches before? I was a bit taken back at first, but this is really amazing! Great Job!

  • Wow! Thats so cute! Those are smart roaches!
