Marlene appears quite spontaneous; her range is much greater than any of her other films. I can also see Carole Lombard in this role as well, but she had just died January 16, 1942, the month before this film came out February 17, 1942.

She and MacMurray were actually very good together. Strong chemistry; I sensed a mutual attraction between both parties. Always wondered if there was anything going on offscreen, but either way they were dynamite together.

The fight scene is hilarious. I almost started jumping up and down in my seat! Little Cory is so adorable and has wonderful stage presence. Great movie.

This is a truly unique MD film and one I really love - her acting appears so much more spontaneous than in any of her others (it's not because of the director - Golden Earrings didn't have the same quality).
