@darkvideo54 Dante Must Die, featured in all games, means if you get hit ONCE by ANY enemy attack, you're dead.

@CidSilverWing Not necessarily. In the original DMC, I thing only the beginning was that dangerous, and even then, I don't think any attack would 1-hit kill except maybe the shot-gun toting Marionettes.

Once you get your health up, you could take two, even three hits and still not die. It all depends on the enemy type, and the attack that they use, since obviously some attacks are stronger than others.

That being said, I think DMD mode in the original game is the hardest of all of them.

when i played this game for the first time i thought it woyuld be easy but i sucked at it and then the game gave me a choice to go to easy mode or stay at normal...i selected easy and beat the game. then i deleted my memory a while later and decided to do it the hard way....but i chenged my mind and decided to go on easy again but it does not give me the choice anymore...little help?

you have to die to be able to go to easy mode, i think either 2 times or somethin and then finish the first mission

@HatoburekaSutajio DMC1 has better enemy designs (even the weak puppets have like 5 different attacks), better atmosphere, Devil Triggering is more useful, DMD! is handled better (it almost never feels like it's taking forever just to kill fodder demons, unless of course you let the puppets DT), this game has critical hits, enemies can perform fatalities, etc... I can say more but I'll leave it at that.

Ebay is probably the only place you will find it...either that or at EB games, if you are reeaaaaaly lucky...doubt you will find it there though...they go on EBay quite often

No there is no PC version of DMC 1, only DMC 3 Special Edition and DMC 4...but if you go to a good EB game store they may have DMC 1 for playstation...although I doubt it...game is well over 5 years old so yea (around 7ish years)...your best bet would be to get one for the PS2 off Ebay

The guy surely spent about 3years to be that good, he remembers every place in the game, he knows exactly what he has to do. I am trying to do it on medium now... easy was just...easy!!

I have to say, the older DMC games in the series seem a great deal more respectable... a great deal more original and pack a really good punch for their time that seems to have gone away somewhat.

Judging by how that guy played, you have to make the one with the shotgun kill the red one(it takes a puppet to kill a puppet). After that, you have to settle your sights on the remaining puppet. Try to read its movements(which are repetitive), and keep on hitting it without it hitting you until it reaches puppet heaven.
